As far as I know, Spirits are nearly indestructible. My books are in another computer, so I'm not sure, but I think you are right. The only way to actually destroy a Spirit is to suck out its Essence. That, however, makes Hiram better suited for battling Spirits than say Mortals, since Mortals can only attack them physically but Hiram can attack their source of Essence (I think).
As for the priest, I am going to say that Ghosts have a sense for the dead/dying. I'm gonna say that if he is not dead, he is very close to dying and beyond saving without extreme measures (no more than 5A Hl left). He is, however, completely knocked out.
His fate is completely for you to decide.

I don’t think Ghosts can drain Essence, could be wrong on that one though.
I’ve made a few assumptions in my post. If Hiram fails both Possession rolls or can’t find anything to bandage the wound with then please just let me know and I’ll make the edit.

No...
I did not say that Ghosts in general could. Hiram, however, has a Numen that allows him to steal away Essence from other beings. I admit I don't know the system and the exceptions (if there are any) by heart, but I can't remember seeing anything saying that Spirits were off limit.
And the assumptions are good and valid. I have nothing against them so all is good.

Funny...
Should probably mention this since I think I got some of the players confused. Some days ago, I asked you guys if you'd prefer that I stopped trying to update twice every week and possibly then update late, or if I should slow it down to once every week and get it on time.
I never heard anything from you and so I stuck to my old scheadual. However, it seems that some of you thought otherwise since I only got one post for the Saturday update. I decided to not update that time.
The question still stands though. Would you prefer if I slowed the game down to once every week instead of twice? This time, don't just expect that I will.

Either way works…
TBH, though, once a week could work a bit better for me over the next couple of months, as my final exams at uni are coming up. No idea what everyone else’s work schedule looks like. :-/
Out of interest, are you planning to update today, or leaving it until the weekend?

Updated
Yeah, my final exams are coming up as well, so I might slow it down to once a week anyway.
I did update today, sorry for the delay. I was hoping for at least one more post before I did.
Vorrioch, I couldn't see how Hiram's action could use the surgery specialty, but he managed to stabalize the priest anyway so I guess it didn't matter.
Gerald, Ren got shot. Lucky for you though, the wound is only Bashing, but you might want to note that Ren's shirt is most certainly ruined
EDIT: Got 1 success out of 5 to resist frenzy, so anger frenzy is resisted for now.
Shounin, you didn't post. Poor show, old chap. Start making up for it

And was very sexy doing it.

The update
The game has been updated.
Hiram has entered Father Winter's dreamworld, but he can't stay there for long since he is technically possessing him. As soon as the ambulance has left the area where Hiram can wander around, Hiram is instantly forced out of Winter and back into the hospital.
Ren mended his wound and spent 1 Vitae to do so.
EDIT: Got additional 4 successes on your Frenzy-resisting roll, so frenzy is rolled completely until another source of anger is presented (such as if you are shot again).
William botched his attack roll. Not only did he drop his weapon (retrieving it counts as an action) but the Crushing Blow has been paid for and there is no refund. The attack was not an extra penalty tied to the botch, and the part about William turning his back to the assailant was just for flavor.

What I hate
I hate it when I'm GMing two games using a similar, yet different, systems and then somehow mix the two systems together. That is what happened to Shounin's character.
In order to Botch in WoD, you need to be reduced to a chance die and that die needs to come up as 1. As much as I think that is silly and unlikely to happen, I haven't houseruled the Botching bit. That is not what happened to Shounin. I mixed up and used the Botching rule that is used in most other games from White Wolf, such as Scion.
Point is, there shouldn't have been a Botch at all. I am going to redo a part of round where William dropped his weapon and where he got shot. The attack is still a miss and the Willpower point is still spent, but at least you have your weapon.
Sorry about the misunderstanding.

Update's in
I've updated. Shounin has expressed his lack of interest in playing his character. He is considering to introduce a new character, but William the Werewolf is now an NPC.
Speaking of which, William has just entered a frenzy state. There are at least 3-4 homeless guys in this room alone, perhaps more as he gets higher up. Unless they somehow get out, William is about to kill them all, as soon as he has dealt with the woman who shot him. That should give Ren enough time to run away
I'm pushing Syanide into Ren's storyline. Had to rush through some minor events, but I hope you don't think it is too crappy
Just to make a note, Syanide is outside, Ren and raging William are inside.

Question
Am I correct in understanding that Hiram's no longer in the dream state... and that Father Winters is probably in the boiler?

Heh
Understand it however you like, you might be right or you might be wrong. If you don't like my answer, let me know and I'll consider giving you a better one
But Hiram is no longer within anyone's dream.

Sorry guys
I'm sorry that I haven't updated on time this week. Fact is, I have to exams coming up next week and an essay to turn in to boot. Although none of this is actually overly time consuming, my mind just isn't comprehending the extra work that comes from updating games here at the Inn.
Due to these previously mentioned facts, I'm going to be taking these two weeks off and won't be updating WDB until the next Wednesday after my finals (14th of May).
I am willing to answer any questions, however, if you got any, but don't expect an update for nearly two weeks.
Sorry...

Are you planning on bringing this one back?
Or is it gone for good now?
(For the record, if you're planning to continue, I'd definitely still be interested in playing.)
