Well, I've read Destiny, of course, and have spoken with Celeste on more than one occasion regarding Roc's new pilot buuuuuuut everything I need to know about the woman is right there in that character pic!

I would have had more on the interview, but to save time and a collaboration with Brom, I decided to nix it so we can get going. It all seems to be a standard horse and pony show at this point anyway. ^_^

Oh, girl to say Gracie contacted Tess.....

You make me want to just add story to keep Destiny alive.

I had a whole story image of having to abandon ship where Jon made Tess and Stephanie take different escape units. He launched Tess first and then got gunned down loading Stephanie. She drug him into the unit and got it launched before Destiny lost compression and atmo. Steph tends to Jon in the escape unit and is able to get him stable. She then gets on the emergancy wave unit and calls in markers to get them both to little known medical facility where she proceeds to tend the paralized Jon.

Jon is crushed by the lose of his crew and his ship. He's now confined to a wheelchair; Stephanie saved his life but not what made him feel alive.


Ahh... I think I may just write that up for the fun of it. Roger may bring that pretty boat back sometime.

What I have suggested with Destiny is this. The Bounty Hunter entered the ship via the Shuttle and Jason was killed by him quickly. Ken attempted to take him out but was killed as well. The Killer was looking for that Companion's med card and didn't care how he got it. Jon attempted to engage him but Tess and Stephanie pulled you away as it was suicide (maybe Steph had to drug Jon).

Grace got the med Card and lead the BH on a merry chase through the ship. Never realizing that she was drawing him into a trap, Grace waited for Tess, Stephanie and Jon to escape in the shuttle then lead the assassin to the engine room where she rigged the engine to explode.

Watching from the shuttle, the three of you thought that Grace died in the fiery explosion. Actually she triggered the explosion remotely as she put on a suit and stole the Bounty Hunter's ship.

Grace would not leave Destiny behind so she was attempting to tow it with the small interceptor ship when the Feds you met on Greenleaf found her. Grace made a deal with them to give them the wine/diamond so they could close their case and she got immunity and a tow to Beylix.

As soon as she got there, she took "her" share of diamonds (Not like Sanders counted them), sold them and got to fixing the engines. Very difficult as many parts have to be retooled. She also wants to lie low for awhile because as long as Higgin's thinks the ship was destroyed, he won't come looking. Grace plans on repairing the ship then contacting the Companion's guild with the med-card to make a deal to get Higgin's off your tail.

Jon, Stephanie and Tess spend several days in the shuttle before you were found and brought home. Jon and Stephanie have discovered each others love and are exploring that now as they wait to hear from Grace. It will probably take a couple of years before Jon feels the need to fly and Destiny is spaceworthy again, but the time will come.

Nice update. Been looking forward to it and it didn't disappoint. Safe to say that Gator won't be getting the job I think, and it sounds like Wolf and John have their work cut out keeping all hell from breaking loose anyway... them houses that keep charging about have good reason to be running scared.

Just a note before anybody posts, as professional as John would like to be I think that Gator's antics will result in some considerable swearing from both Wolf and John. (Am I right Tann?)

Alright, I know I haven't said it yet, but you guys are awesome! I've read some of Rocinante in the past, and the characters are amazing! Can't wait to have Tess get to know each of you, plus the two new guys (Eol and Loki ~ for great intros)!

Question in regards to the update ~ it seems to me that, given the right touch, doing some of the things that Gator did wouldn't tax Rocinante too badly. Offset the right valves and all that goodness; not saying that's she's a gunship, but can she handle at least a little bit of fancy footwork?

Again, I'm not trying to imply that Gator has the right touch for such antics (apparently!), I'm just looking for a general idea as to what (as a pilot) I can do with her.

Gator is pulling rapid shifts in a ship without communicating with the mechanic and having no rapport or knowledge of what the ship can handle. He is flying hard with no love or appreciation of the vehicle. Simply put, he is hotdogging on a first date.

Tess can do much better for sure because she has respect and love for the ship even never have flown it before. She'd have "felt" the first relay blow, probably did as Gator was flying.
