alright
This might get crazy.
I do wish there was some way we could've waited for more people then me, gboy, and admiral to speak on the matter before executing him. dragonblood, kod, and jozan still needed their say.
But, what's done is done. Time to keep pressing forward.

Understood, known, and agreed.
1. I understood that much. Kinda figured it was IC, as you "saw" Bearspaw.
2. Also up to you. My question was purely rhetorical, not meant to :"subtly dictate". If your character rages until he drops, or until he has no targets, it's your character and that's what happens. Now I know what to expect. 'S'all good.

Is this like, kind of down time, how does each character react after the battle?

To answer your last question first: Yes.
As to yor previous question: In all fairness, I agree.
But such is the "mindset of these two that it would have been most unlikely to have been able to stop them.
Consider this:
Ether was nearly fanatical, out of range of everyone else and any possible interference short of a companion blocking an arrow with his or her own body.
Bearspaw was in a "blind" rage and intently focused on hurting any perceived threat. It's all in how the player plays the "rage" effect and thinking, so it's subjective ...
Kannizan was the only one who had an opportunity to delay Bearspaw for a little while but, in doing so, took the risk of becoming a :"threat" to Bearspaw, and therefore a potential target. Then there is the (now obvious) fact that Ether already had an arrow ready, so if you DID delay Bearspaw, Ether would have finished off the inured half-elf anyway.
Even I was hoping it would turn out differently, but:
As I said. sometimes schmidt happens ...

What does everyone think we do first?
Do we attempt to do anything to the bodies, or just leave them?

That reminds me of a comic I read.
The comic was DM of the Rings. Basically, Lord of the Rings told by a Dungeons and dragons perspective. At the end of many of the comics, the writer would share insight to his misadventures with his group. One of the lines was happening as sauron's messenger was coming from mordor, to parley with Aragorn. Aragorn decisively chopped off his head, much to the DM's complaints that he had four pages of dialogue, and he's simply said the first sentence. The caption at the bottom of this comic:
"Parley" is a french word, meaning, "Everyone else is flat-footed and empty-handed."
I think it suits this situation quite nicely.
As for the bodies, we loot them of course. It seems the logical thing to do, and we might find some indication of how they knew about the map, or who sent them. If anyone sent them.

hmm
We hire someone to speak with dead, find out who hired them, and then mail the bodies to him
Seriously neither one of them was going to talk. And leaving them alive just invited a return later on. This way their employer might think they just got eaten by dire badgers for all he knows.
I had already told Wyrmy I was planning on shooting any of them who tried to leave the scene regardless. Maranda leaving and the little spat about overrunning just hastened the inevitable.
These guys got in the way, and will likely get in the way again. Their lives aren't worth the risk of bringing backup later.
Welcome to the Chaotic Neutral cleric of the Chaotic Neutral god of loss and revenge.

well
I already posted Velina checking the cleric's body, pretty complete search.
Divy up any useful loot now so it can be used. Not worried about a few coins or such if we stand to gain an entire keep.
My vote is leave the bodies as a warning not to mess with us.
Rememeber that all the characters are young and inexperienced; most would not have the foresight to take captives and such but simply be focused on staying alive.
What exactly is the deal with the heir?

The deal with the heir?
Player-wise, I cant contact or get a response from Zodius.
Character-wise, only those who happened to notice Maranda speaking with Ether would know that only Ether can answer that question. Velina, Bearspaw, and Kannizan were otherwise occupied and didn't see that exchange, so as far as they are concerned, she is just gone ...

Player F. Y. I. and a reminder
Just a small reminder that the characters are still "working" a few minutes after the last bad guy was dropped, even though it's been days for us ...
And I still need a few bits of info as before I post "loot list" and update ...
Loot List by "original owner" or grouped by like-item totals?
Quick or thorough search of bodies?
Move, hide, leave, bury, or (other) bodies?
Camp or continue?
Divvy-up now or later?

Oksy.
Velina specifically stated she searched the body of the cleric.
Jethro had moved to search bodies (in a general sense).
Anyone else?
Leave it to Jethro? Or Jethro and Velina?
No rush. Just acking.

Loot List
don't matter to me. Perhaps who owned it though...?
Quick or thorough search of bodies?
Definitely thorough. I think you said an hour for each body if we take twenty, don't know if that's worth it or not. If Velina and I do it that's two and half (assuming we can do it in half an hour if we work together) three otherwise. Taking twenty basically means spending the time to earn the equivalent of rolling a twenty on a skill check... is that right?
Move, hide, leave, bury, or (other) bodies?
I like the bad a$$ leaving the bodies out, particularly in some display. I think within a chaotic neutral group (specifically between Jethro, Ether and Almyrikon I'm assuming) a display would make sense.
Camp or continue?
Camp, its wasting a day but we get spells back and Bearspaw and I need healing... you gonna hook us up Admiral ??
Divvy-up now or later?
definitely now.
