I'll try to post more often as of now
I got a new post in and i'll try to post more to increase the speed of this game hopefully.
Also Do we get XP for that encounter? And do we get XP for beating all the kobolds or just the ones we killed?

Meri is still alive...
I swear. Sorry I've been so... distant lately guys.
Nothing against all of you I promise, just been a little distracted by RL, being pregnant does a good job of that it seems.
At any rate, I heard from Steelight that he's done torturing you for the moment, I will get up to speed again and hopefully have the next adventure in store for you soon, I will kick myself into action and get up a post by this weekend
Glad to see you all still here!

XP
You will get XP for the encounter and hopefully Meri will be nice enough to record it on your character sheets once I calculate it. You will get XP for defeating all of the kobolds, as it is not necessary to kill them all, just defeat them. I'll get the value figured out and get it to Meri sometime this weekend.

Do we have to do this again?
Though I do not wish to re-open the argument, I do wish to point out once again that Steelight did offer a peaceful solution to the imps and he WOULD NOT have slaughtered them in any previous engagement. Beaten them perhaps, I admit, but not killed them. He saw the potential combat as a test of his skills and reveled in that test, not the death or violence of the fight. Though, should you meet him again you might find him a bit... different nowadays. So I would appreciate not being attributed with a slaughter that did not and would not (in character) occur, at least at the hands of my monk character. Thanks!

Much as described
It's an item from our world. A real honest to god wal-mart sells them item. And as described it's a six foot diameter pillowy blob of comfort. Do you read Crtl Alt Del? a FUF is like a Sumo Gigantor. Ion brought it from home.

Hey Speedy!
I just wanted to point out that Ion actually didn't say the party would lose your skills. He brought up the question to prove the very point you are stating in your post. (at least that was my interpretation) Just thought I should point that out.

So an interesting observation
Why is it that we all made emotionally damaged jerks in this game?

lots to say so listen up
First: let me say we all luv ya Meri. We understand RL tends to take precedence. take your time.
Second: welcome back Ion. Glad to see ya again. can you hook me up with a yummy drink?
Third: Hail to the FUF!
Ok so now back to the game.....
I posted the last part of my post the way I did because we arrived at the forest in the early morning and I am hoping it didn't take us all day to finish that fight. If I am wrong, slap me with a lawsuit and I'll fix it.
Finally what would be the point of us having perfect characters? They would be so boring.

Fail...
I know I know I promised this weekend, it wasn't as long as I had hoped it would be.
Monday's are hectic here at work, but I'll try to get caught up and maybe get something up for you tonight or tomorrow.

Alright
First things first...
1. Everyone stop posting for the moment. I'll have something up by the time I go to bed tomorrow to get us moving along, I think I have something in mind.
2. I both OOC and IC mentioned that everyone needed to work on working as a team.
I was very impressed with generally how well that worked, finally, once you all entered into combat. You not only defeated the enemy, but you did so without inflicting injury on each other or spending more time arguing with each other than fighting. Kudos.
However... I think there is something about 'teamwork' that in my world implies that you don't finish a decent bit of work and then spend the next five posts bashing your fellow players on their actions. Your new professor offered up his suggestions for future improvements, which is proper and expected as he is the TEACHER, the rest of you are STUDENTS... congratulate each other... discuss what to do next and unless we want this school to degrade into factions that will do better fighting against each other than a fellow school, DROP THE CRITICSM OF YOUR FELLOW TEAMATES. That goes for each and everyone of you. I don't want to hear why 'so and so wouldn't make a good leader, or who failed to act in a proper way according to you.' If this is 'how my character would respond' go ahead and try it and see how they respond to Professor O'Leary kicking them out of the school. If your character is truely that much of a 'independent rebel' they can simply stalk off and take on future challenges by themselves. Part of gaming is that it is not a solo enterprise. You all choose to do D&D knowing you would have to do it with a group of other people, and in this venue they are usually a group of people you have never met in real life and know little about. Part of this School is learning how to effectively do that. And currently this class is failing.
So... I am going to move us forward soon, take the time to calm your character down some and lets move on in a more positive light.
Thank you,
M.

There you go...
I've set the scene.
I will do the next post to get us going on another little 'adventure' on Saturday. Until then you all have been tasked with a little RP... a little 'let's be nice to each other' RP. I think this will prove an interesting challenge. I'll be watching the posts, and as you noticed I put Professor O'Leary in the bar with you, she might not seem interested but I promise you she is listening and obviously not in a good mood, I really don't recommend getting her attention just yet.
If your character has not posted up by Friday night (as I hope to get the update in Saturday morning if all goes well) I will assume they decided to stay at the dorms that evening and will either miss on whatever event occurs at the Inn or will join in later, per my discretion.
Enjoy and good luck!
M.
