Practice... Always practice.
Ody - nope, I don't imagine that Fu Sheng would have a problem, at all, in joining Willow and Asher in their "morning exercises"... I figure such a thing is more than a small part of the monk's daily routine, anyway, and I don't imagine he'd object to having company (or asking to join in with Willow and the Kid as the case may be).
Anyhoo... weekend got away from me but am working up my post, now. Should have it ready in the next little bit.

no problem
I wasn't to post this weekend anyway. So relax.
Just a brief word for those new and even not so new. Some times the posts in this game can be long, extensive and damn good reads. Sometimes that can be intimidating. you might think you need to recreate War and Peace before you can post.
Relax. Post what you can do and enjoy the story as if unfolds. Some of the best posts I ever read have been short and to the point. No one is judging forum posts on length or number of heartstrings pulled.

Long Posts.................
lol...... I've found that since I've been playing with such great folks that it's become easier to write more. I don't plan to write a lot, it just sort of happens sometimes. I think I may be restating or bringing in others dialog more than I used to do. Also I've I feel I need to keep up with you great writers. Eol, Val, Al, you are just a few of the inspiring players. It a real challenge to fill lines to move the story along. The interaction of characters and GM leading......yadayadayada.....

Long posts
I must admit that seeing the long posts makes me want to come up with something long myself. I am finding the skill of some of you people in this game to be intimidating actually.

Characters
I have posted Sifu and Jessy to the character list. Jessy will appear soon, trust me.
BTW - In the characters section, I am not going to reformat the page everytime I add a character so I may moved the retired characters to another thread.

Posts, characters, and other stuffs...
Firstly, to echo what the others have already said where posts are concerned - a post doesn't have to be super lengthy to be a good read (despite the fact that some of our posts do tend to wind up on the longer side). It's the quality of the post that matters as opposed to the 'quantity,' after all, and, IMO, everyone involved, here, has put out some quality posting regardless of length.
Characters! Yay! Entirely too many hot chicks in this group... makes it very distracting... but I looooove it!

Monks
Hey arent monks supposed to be celibate?
Hmmm, perhaps Jessy can make Sifu reconsider his 'life choice'?

celibacy
Depends on the order and the structure of the faith. Not all monks are celibate as not all priests, depending on the faith.
I would think after two hundred years trapped in a ark-ship the celibacy rule of any faith might have been tossed.
If they were celibate, I wonder if Love-bots count?

LOL
Well, to be honest, I haven't delved that deeply into the 'vows' specific to the Sifu's order buuuuut, if I vaguely follow the paths laid out by the martial monks of Shaolin or whatever, I'd imagine there's a vow of celibacy involved somewhere along the lines...
...hey... wait a minute... It actually looks like Buddhist monks take a vow to 'refrain from sexual misconduct' not necessarily abstain from sex all together... interesting...
...anyway, vows and such aside, I don't imagine that our little monk has really experienced anything sexual in his life beyond a kiss. Spent a lot of his early years as little more than a 'trained-dog' for Chap (and getting his pit-bull bedded wasn't high on Chap's list of priorities). Following his escape from Hoskins, Fu Sheng likely didn't have the social graces needed to 'win over a girl' (not that he was really looking, at the time) and was more concerned with finding his way back home or, at least, finding his family. Then there was the monastery... then the orphanage... *shrugs* Vow of celibacy? Not that I'm aware of... Virgin? Absolutely.
