loot
I figure whoever checks a body gets first choice on items on that body. The rest is gathered for party inspection and whoever wants something gets it. If we can't use it we leave.
So far we haven't really been much on group effort so why would body searches be differant.
Now if we get together and make a differant decision that is fine by me.

Regarding loot... and answers.
Well, having played many a roguish character before, I know how good it feels for first come first serve. A character can always tuck something away inside their cloak while nobody else is paying attention.
However, when I have tried this, my GM has always gotten me to make a Bluff check against everyone who didn't search, to determine if anyone else catches on to there being something you're not telling them.
Of course, this isn't my game, so I don't say it's a go or not, that's just a suggestion.
But for future reference, I agree with KoD... we may need to start working as a bit more of a team. Things tend to get nasty with a bunch of individualists running the show.
Also, to answer the questions as mentioned before.
Loot List
I would say by the corpse what they had. This gives those who searched the bodies (if this is how it's going) first choice of the body that they searched.
Quick or thorough search of bodies?
Well, I can tell you I'm not searching, but I would like it if the others did a thorough search. While they're searching (probably taking 20) I will go hunting, using the Survival skill, probably taking 20 as well.
Move, hide, leave, bury, or (other) bodies?
I myself would think that flesh is nice for a fire, and it would also save noise and trouble of chopping down the wood. I would say burn the bodies, so that we can cook on it.
Camp or continue?
Camp. Definitely. I'll take a share of the watch. Oh, and Admiral, if you can hook me up with some water, I can make a stew for us.
Divvy-up now or later?
definitely now.

Okay
I pretty much have a "common consensus" concerning what you all are doing.
Got the information I need form jozan1 and will have an update Sun or Mon. Will get the Loot list up soonest ...
A litle F. Y. I. conderrning the checking of odies. Three of ther party are doing this, With three others in different places arount those who check, this means three will have an opportunity to notice any surruptitious "selection" of any items tor personal use,.a chance, not a certainty.
I don't use a Bluff chaek to make that determination, unless the character is knowingly lying (thanks anyway, gboy). I do have method(s). however, to determine whether or not the seer sees or the keeper is seen. These usually include a dexteruty check (versus a DC) and/or a Spot check.for those involved ...

clarification
For this encounter, Velina is not really making an attempt to "conceal" her selection of items. Pretty hard to conceal a crossbow anyway. She simply searches, takes what she finds interesting and brings the rest to the others for them to see if they want something.

Divy
Yeah, Jethro is of the same mind, he is searching so if he wants something he will take it and he will pass on everything else to the others. As for gold, are we divvying it up equally or do Jethro and Velina get it all because when it comes to first come first serve, this will be something Jethro is interested in.

gold
Velina is not interested in the gold for now; first we need to figure out if we continue on or return. Gold is useless and heavy if we continue.

My claims. Still open to dispute, I would assume.
I would lay claim to some of the following, though I would assume there could be a dispute.
Male Human Clr:
Lt Horse, tack Saddlebags
small pearl (4)
trail rations [3 days]
waterskin
Male Half-Elf:
whetstone
Male Human:
Dagger .
Comp Longbow (+2 Str bonus)
Also, if nobody else wants a horse, I say we eat them. Just to be filling and all. You never know when we're going to absolutely need trail rations. I will cook, thanks to survival.

... by the way KoD...
That was rather rude. We had a pride thing going on. And you totally ruined it... Oh well. It just shows how good it is for a barbarian to get worked up I guess...

Rude maybe
Just showing that there is more to leading than skill at arms. Besides, pride can get in the way if you can;t control it.
Keep in mind that at the moment Velina has no ties to anyone as she volunteered to follow the true heir. None fit that description and the group cannot deceide on who is in charge. She is not really that impressed with testosterone shows.

Oh but that's the missed point.
This wasn't about leading. This is about what he said about him being the only one to use a bow. Me? Lead? Surely you jest. I'd be a terrible leader.

Yep, nothing to do with leading, just about being able to use a mighty composite longbow

Yes!
Alright! Mighty bow for the win!
Good game Admiral. Now, a cheap move would've been to shoot for a leaf, and use true strike to aid you. But, we have someone who plays fair in the group. That's good.
