Combat over

Alright, to make things simple and pretty clear, the encounter is over. What happens next is not done in combat rounds. If the Mandalorians get into the hangar area, you'll need to actively engage them to start a new combat scenario.

I've given you all XP for activity and the encounted. The encounted gave each of you 550 XP in addition to that which you got from just posting. Yay.

Update

Alright, I've updated. Not much action this time, since I think we've had enough just for the time being. Anyway, you can either stand there for a short while or get to the ship. It is your choice.

You can see on the map where everybody are, except for Awvoor and Wrrlwarr who are nowhere close. Arruna's speeder is in the cargohold.

You can also see on the map, where the Mandalorians are neatly packed in.

Loki, I have no idea which Mandalorian you took nor which droid. Either way, they all had some stuff with them and I'll share a list of items shortly (when I'm too bored to do anything else).

Now, remember to share.

Also, XP. You all get the normal Activity XP as well as some bonus for finishing this secondary mission. Enjoy.

I took the droid and mandalorain closest to the ship, but that doesn't matter.

I'm not going to share the items, I'll share my talents with technology and hope that Kate is willing to back me up. My idea is that once were all on the ship we can have some dialogue about my tinkering with weapons and armour and hopefully upgrade some weapons on the flight out of the gear.

I wonder what I can do with the mandaloiain armour... and the shield generator on the droid... maybe I can combine the two into some super good armour for the big fury thing. Or I can aways upgrade Kate's shield with it.

It actually matters which Mandalorian because one is still alive

You can deal with the sharing bit later, but make sure everyone's cool with it in the end (through roleplay or whatever). It would be really frustrating if someone wasn't cool with another player taking everything for himself. Just to let you know.

Also, improving stuff with identical stuff is not as easy as you might think. Mostly, you could get bonus to repair that stuff with the identical stuff.

Anyway, I'll start working on that list of items soon. It may not all be in perfect working order, but you might find something useful either way.

But if you could just tell me what weapon upgrades I can do and what modifications I can do, there is a difference by the way.

I'll look into it. The easiest way would be to find an upgrade on the items you take and reuse them. I'll dive into the rules soon enough and have a look at what you can do.

(By soon I mean in few days, maybe.)

Reminder

I wanted to remind you guys that I will be updating the game tomorrow as planned. Not updating last Wednesday (I think it was the last) was just a situational occurance. I won't be waiting for anyone. Not a soul. No matter how few have posted.

Alrighty

It took me a bit longer than I intended, but I've got the update in.

You've escaped the hangar, and you have some passangers.

There are two enemy starfighters heading your way. You can either stay and fight, or jump to hyperspeed. As a rough estimate, I'm giving you a full round or two before the starfighters get in range.

Because of the hypersystem-thingy during the Old Republic, your destinations are sorta limited. I'll add a list as soon as I have figured it out myself.

Here are the planets to which you can hyperjump directly:

Ord Mantell
Dorin
Dantooine
Adumar

When I say directly, I mean that a Hyperspace Beacon is close enough to give you a signal. You could hyperjump to any planet really, but doing so is dangerous.

Basically, if you haven't read the chapter on hyperspace travel during the Old Republic, if you are close to a Hyperspace Beacon you effectively have a navicomputer and if there is no such beacon nearby you effectively do not have one.

I personally want to limit it a little bit more, so that the beacon can only assist you to certain destinations. The list above are the destinations the nearest beacon can assist you with.

I'm basically railing the story here, I know, but at least you get to choose

Dibs on not setting the coordinates. Arrune hasn't been in hyperspace yet so it'll be new to her.

Anyway, she'll be too busy in the workshop.

hyperspace beacons

Of course, I naturally assumed you knew what this was

A hyperspace beacon is like a minature station with limited intelligence and thrusters, just enough to keep it in one place. It is hardly bigger than a speeder and has no crew. It is stationary in space, and is not installed into any starship. I didn't look for any maximum distance that needs to be between the beacon and a ship, but I assume you can't use a beacon in another star system.

Each beacon has a set of coordinates, so it can only calculate a safe passage to certain locations. A fully oporational navicomputer can calculate a safe passage to any spot in the galaxy, so there's a big difference.

As luck has it, there is a hyperspace beacon nearby, but it can only calculate a safe hyperjump to systems in which you find the above mentioned planets. You can hyperjump to any other place in the galaxy, but doing so would mean that you are hyperjumping blindly and could hit an astroid field or a planet. Hyperjumping with the beacon can have the same results, but it is less likely by far.

Also worth mentioning, hyperspace beacons are not built for combat, and so it might become inaccurate or even destroyed by a laserblast.

which reminds me...

Did we have a name for Awvoor's ship? Did I miss it? There is some reference to a Destiny in Ayrn's post, is that the name of the ship of is it referring to the game mechanic of Destinies?

Still, a name for the ship would be handy as it would make references to it that much easier.

Not the name of the ship...

at least, that wasn't my intended purpose in using that word.

Neither was I referring to the "game mechanics" when I used the word.

My post was meant to convey the idea that Benjamin had played his part in escaping off the ship (for the moment) and now he needed to trust the capabilities of the Ithorian (and others) and in destiny (similiar, but different, to trusting "fate" or "a higher power", etc). Benjamin believes that it is NOT his destiny to die on some random Ithorian's ship.

A name for a ship is always welcome. Addy?
