To YeOlde
No offense taken your right I should have assigned guards, been a long week and I have been distracted of late, but that’s no excuse.
As far as the Radio discipline that’s actually standard procedure during patrol or a combat Op in most Combat Arm units in the American Military…
Its there to keep the channels open for the command staff in case of orders or emergencies. Think about it if everyone starts talking at once that just makes it hard to give out orders. Unless a trooper is specifically addressed they stay quiet unless it’s an emergency. The questions asked below are for me to ask as team leader not to be shouted out over the comm set if the Lt had more to tell me shouting out would have caused us to miss his next words which could have been a bad thing had it been a warning. The Lt said “Stand Ready” not to come to him so the patrol continued. I hope my explanation helps to give everyone in the game a better understanding.
If anyone wants to know anything Military wise for a post PM me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge.
“On Alert! Acknowledged! Lee and Johannsen rendezvousing with Sgt Kane.” This from Lee.
“This is Johnannsen, IS anyone injured? Is there still hostile action.” This from Johnannsen.

Understood
Tann- Oh I agree with you and understand the procedures... it is Sgt Lee that doesnt agree with you.
If you read his bio you would see that he often has discipline problems and often disagrees with superiors. I just wanted to make it clear that it is Sgt Lee not liking the way the Staff Sgt gives orders. One of the reasons Lee is still just a Sgt no doubt.

I have to ask...
What's a MRE? Bromern referred to it in his post and it's a TLA (three letter acronym) that I can't figure out

MREs..
..are "Meals, Ready to Eat". I have never had one myself but I hear they arent that bad if you dont have to live on them forever.
Found this website which describes them in detail:

fun, fun, fun!
I am going off of the previous marching order I had, unless someone tells me differently.
Please note that all of you have recovered some of the cold damage. Not all - that would have required a full night's rest. Six hours broken by watches does not count as such.

Question of protocol, and one of the DM, specifically
The sarge had one badly wounded soldier (Hatherford) take a watch, but not the other (Blake). Would us "officers" normally offer to take a watch to let the wounded get more rest?
You've said that we are not back to full, and I can understand that, but perhaps a breakdown of how relatively healthy we each are at after the partial rest would prevent us from assumptions in our posts.

well...
...the enlisteds get the short end of the stick, usually. So unless Kernan sees compelling reason to countermand Kane's order, it likely stands.
Blake could pull rank on Kane, as well, but as we discussed, she is not technically a part of this chain of command.
Truth be told, the medic's attention did you combat woundeds a WORLD of good, as referenced in my last status post. However, I was remiss in not posting a new one. Here it is!
LT Kernan: minimal cold damage.
PFC Pearson: mild cold damage.
WO Blake: minimal cold damaage, minimal combat damage.
CPL Hatherford: mild cold damage, mild combat damage.
CPL Hart: mild cold damage
SSG Kane: mild cold damage
CPL Johannsen: mild cold damage
SGT Lee: minimal cold damage
I am ruling that some of the cold fatigue is gone. A full night's sleep gets it all, but the kind GM is allowing some to go away, regardless.

Thanks!
Blake won't pull rank when she was as injured as Hatherford...if she was less so she might have offered to take his watch.
Ok...writing a post

To Clarify
In the Military no enlisted man can tell an officer to take a watch or really to do anything unless so directed by an officer of higher rank then said officer.
In layman's terms unless the Lt told me to assign Blake a watch shift I would not do so. Also Van you asked why I assigned Hatherford well there's only 6 grunts and the two officers, but if had been Moderate/Serious combat damage no I would not have assigned him a watch. I based it off Olan's last update of our state of health before the most recent as listed below. Taking into account Johannsen's serious cold damage at that time I gave her last watch with me giving her 4 hours of rest before her watch as the worst of the cold damage.
LT Kernan: mild cold damage.
PFC Pearson: moderate cold damage.
WO Blake: minimal cold damage, minimal combat damage.
CPL Hatherford: moderate cold damage, mild combat damage.
CPL Hart: moderate cold damage
SSG Kane: moderate cold damage
CPL Johannsen: serious cold damage
SGT Lee: mild cold damage
