Will be working on my wife's laptop this weekend. We still have old tech, Dell Vostro 1000 and a Inspiron E1505 running XP. Her puter wouldn't boot to a welcome screen. I tried to repair it and just buggered it worse. Tried to reinstall XP but now it won't activate. Can get to the welcome screen and ever to her profile but won't link out to the net.

May have wipe the hard drive and do a full install.
I could update to 7 or 10, that's a couple a hundred bucks to buy the OS.

Could just buy cheap Cromebook, but not leaning that way.

Anywho... I may be tied up a bit. If any of you have ideas let know. I AM NOT techy, this doesn't come easy to me.

I've decided the best fix is to update my OS on my computers.
Spent too many nights try to get XP to work on my wife's computer. So now I've bought Windows 10 to add to three of our computers. Should try the first tomorrow on Momma Bears Vostro 1000. Then over the weekend I'll do my Inspiron E1505.

As for posts I'll get Lum helping tear apart the bots for parts then be ready to follow over the heap.

Techy ain't me. I need my machines to just work. When they don't I'm in trouble. Good luck.

He was taking his computer to Geek Squad Saturday to fix some corrupted files, may not have it back yet.

Computer problems suck! Hopefully he'll be back soon. I say, we could probably push on still if the GM is willing. Backpost can always be done if needed.

Computer Status
I ust got it back 30mins ago along with a new Best Buy credit card and a brand new laptop on hold till tomorrow when I trade in my old one for 75$ dollars towards its purchase. I'll have a post up tomorrow night.

Are we ready to move on? I think everyone has posted, except the GM.

We have all posted, but have we really given the GM any actions to work with? A couple of us were ready to follow over the rubble, but last time Tomiki took the lead - and he just asked a question. I'm not sure there really is much of a response to his question - although Rhyson can comment if you want. Do we need Tomiki to actually state that he is moving on if he is taking point? Or something else? I guess we do have a "search the cats" comment.

But searching the fallen is part of our groups mandate, yes? Even that would be something. I think several posted to surveying the area a little more closely. Hopefully we might learn something here. Still time for others to add to their actions, if they so desire.
