Rat
rolls a 5. (six-sided, right?)
He will use his sling.
If it comes close to melee, he will hop/sneak off the cart, hide under the wheels or somewhere, and backstab where possible; he really wants to get one of those ugly behemoths in the achilles
He also thinks those hungry magic trees ought to grab the orcs for lunch!

T'Sal
Rolled a 4. I don't know if that is a good thing since I really can't do much at the moment.

Hingatuli Hammer will ...
..... fire a Crossbow Bolt at the Orc carrying the Mace and command Muffin to attack the Orcs!
I am at the office right now and will have to roll a Die when I get home!
AM pretty sure that in Castles & Crusades version the Init is rolled with a 10-sided Die but it sounds like you guys are rolling with a 6-sided Die!
Anyway, do I go ahead and let you know right now what Spell I will use and then what Weapon I will use in Melee?
I will EDIT this post when I roll the Die at home!
Rolled a 7 with the 10-sided Die
Rolled a 2 with the 6-sided Die
Yes, Castles & Crusades version uses the 10-sided Die to determine Initiative!
ACTION This Round
Hingatuli Hammer aims his Heavy Crossbow and fires a Bolt at the Orc wielding the Mace!
He gives Muffin a Command to Guard the Wagon!
[To Protect T'Sal and Rat also!]
Hingatuli Hammer positions himself to provide the best protection available, while affording him the luxury to decide whether or not to cast a spell or prepare his weapon for hand to hand combat in the next few moments!

Random Numbers
FYI - there is a dice roller that generates random numbers right on this webiste. Go to the Armoury in the pull-down menues across the top. The first one is a dice roller that can give you the numbers you need. I'm pulling my dice out for nostalgic reasons, but I don't need them to get a number.
That generator is how I got my pair of nifty 2s for this encounter.

clearing up some things
Hammer you will only be able to fire the crossbow this round. the dog can attack, but your other actions will have to wait until the next round and that will depend on init. again and the orcs actions so hold those thoughts at the moment. Degotti are you saying that T'sal will not take any action this round and just focus on staying out of the way? please clarify. everyone go ahead and give me your to hit rolls and when i sort out who shot when and who hit who and who swings what i'll post and then we can sort out damage and deaths. This is a little awkward i know but i'm learning this as we go. It's hard to do this without everyone circled around with dice in hand and pizza boxes stacked to the roof. Also any one that wants to ask or state anything please do it by Thursday at lunch if possible so i can post the first rounds actions by both sides. Good luck!

Just in case ...
..... you needed any other rolls besides my 7 of 10 and 2 of 6 Die Rolls!
3 of 4 Die
3 of 12 Die
6 of 8 Die
60 of 100 Die
6 of 20 Die
I will be at the office during your lunch hour on Thursday so I just rolled all those to cover all the bases since I will leave these dice at the house!

Anvil roles a 17
Assuming to-hit roles are a d20 as I remember, Anvil rolled a 17.
He also rolled a d10 and got a 4 since a couple other people posted rolls for that dice and I wanted to make sure I had rolled the right thing.
I guess we are learning this as we go!
That 17 smells like an Orc just lost his head!

SD
T'Sal hasn't any missile weapons except her spell which I am with holding to use until I see a wounded orc.
I will protect myself with my staff if an orc gets close to my wagon.
I will be watching closely and trying to stay out of the way of any projectiles thrown my direction.
Hope that helps.
I did roll a 10 on d20 just in case I needed to.

Clarification ...
..... is needed regarding exactly what Hingatuli is rolling for and how many sided dice?
Since the Bolt bounced off the armor I figure it did not do any damage?
Anyway, in the Castles & Crusades version a Heavy Crossbow rolls 1d10 so I will go ahead and roll that right now in case it is the same with your version!
Rolled a 10
Now do I roll a different Die for what Muffin is chewing on?
Please Clarify and if I need to roll a different Die then I will do it sometime Friday night as I need to get some sleep since it is almost 2am over here!

Who attacks who?
I got one!
Ok, along with damage dice we all also need to figure out what to do. I think Anvil will attack one of the orcs between him and the wagon - I dont want them getting close to the people hiding in the wagons.
I am concerned about the big bad leader dude, but at least a crossbow is slow to load. I may go after him soon, but for now I don't want to get seperated from the group.
SD - do we need to roll init for the second round as well?

Rat's
damage roll per above 7 on ten-side.
and his new init is 5 on six-side
he will commence to zip down off that dangerous wagon, slink into the shadows and prepare to backstab one of the stationary orc archers
daggone it is nice having those dogs along

Careful Rat
SD - How far away are the archers?
Rat - if you have to circle around to backstab you leave yourself very vulnerable once you make the attack (Or if you are seen before hand - sneakyness can fail)- you will be exposed and perhaps away from help. Find out how far away they are (and how long it will take to get in position)before doing anything.
We don't want you to stab one and then find yourself sourrounded by several more or you just might find out what it feels like to get smacked by an orc!
