(OOC: I am posting as if it’s the next morning)

After his watch of the night, Highnar had with a very real sigh of weariness turned over his shift to the next in line.
His bedroll laid out and a rolled up blanket as a pillow the Dwarf did finally sleep.

Then it was morning and once again as the morning meal was eaten it was time to pick yet another item from the pile before all.

“Well lassies if no one be having a need for it I be want’in that nice Belt of Giant Strength to improve me damage against our foes. I like to give me enemies more then theys be giving me.”

With his choice made Highnar awaited the rest of the group to choose, as anything that kept him from the back of the demon’s own was fine by him....

The night did pass uneventfully and found Lorae already up and cooking sausages and stickbread. The smell of the sausages filled the air.

"You had best eat quickly or we will have ever carnivore for miles soon here."

"Also, continue your choosing, some of the items will be of great use in future endeavors." The best pieces were layed out on a blanket awaiting others to make their choices.

"I think I will take the Adamantine Breastplate that should give me some extra protection." comment Brianna as she makes her next choice. "Who is next? Logan, Xuor, Lorae shoose yours."

"I'll take the other Longsword for my second choice", Logan says, "and place my other bastard sword into the pile"

Brianna smiles at Logan's choice, "Good choice now I have someone to practive twin longswords with. Lorae, Highnar and Xuor, what do you chooose next? Everyone prepare there fourth choice." Her face is excited not only by her own choices but she seems to enjoy the choices others make as well.

"Ahh lassie that be an easy one that be I be tak'in that there Amulet of Health if no one else be needing it more. Also as it no be magic, I be ask'in fr that there heavy repeating Crossbow and bolts to go with it."

(OOC: Ok not sure what the ammy does for sure as it is not listed in 2e so I may not need or be able to use it Mistress please let me know thanks)

Amulet of Health add a + to Con. I will have to look it up.

(OOC: Tan, an Amulet of Health adds points to your con score. So if you have an 18 before you done that +4, you'll have a 22 afterwards. Your HP will go up as a result as you will recieve the difference in HP that the your new bonus now gives you. EI: Con 18 = +4 HP, Con 22 = +6 HP. For a lvl9 character, you will recieve a 18 point HP bonus for dawning that Amulet. Hope that answers your first quest. Second question. In 3rd Ed Rules, Dex can be devided into 2 different catergories or left as one. But under the new rules, you no have a seperate Aim bonus. This is different that a standard melee attack bonus. I think, but am not 100% sure(dont have my book in front of me) that your aim bonus is the same, but if has rules as to how much of that bonus you actually recieve when using Bows, crossbows and throw weapons. EI: Something to close to you, within 5 ft I think, you get no bonus, 5-10 I think it is +1 regardless. 10-25 your stanard bonus -1 applies. 25-weapon max -25% full bonus + any additional bonuses. the last 25% + if you try to go beyond that, you recieve a - based on distance, weather and surroundings. Granted all of these are left for the GM to decide. Hope that all helps.)

Lorae speaks up, "I will take the three unknown stones and claim no other magical items, though I am interested in the mantle and the brass mug."

She waits to hear the words of her companions before taking the stones.

"I am thinking about that hand crossbow," conmments Brianna. "I think I will take at as my next choice. IT is a kind of a handy thing to have for a quick shot at range."

"Brianna there is a small quiver of bolts for that crossbow," Lorae hands her the case.

"If needed we can wait on the rest of the choosing, and get on the road. We should make it to Asbenford by afternoon."

Lorae looks about to gage the reactions of the others before packing up the loot and putting it in the Bag of Holding that they acquried.

"It would be best if Xuor chooses his next item so that we have all finished this round." adds Brianna

Brianna takes up her backpack and weapons. "Highnar I made something for you that will perhaps make your time in the saddle much more comfortable."

She walks over to the converted saddle that she had shortened the stirrups on and padded the seat with a piiece of sheepskin. "This ought to fit you better. I would like for you to give it a try. Perpahs we can find you a saddle made for dwarvern proportions we we get to a large enough town."

"Now, let's get breakfast done and hit the road. We have ground to cover." states Brianna matching her actions to her own words. Brianna downs the rest of her breakfast and then picks up her things. She saddles Highnar mount first with the modified saddle. She really did hope that it would work for the Dwarf since she did not want to be slowed down to a infantry pace. Today she saddles the red mare though she packs extras onto the black stallion. After brushing down both well. Flame's basket she ties securely onto the back of the mare's saddle.

When all are mounted she indicate to Xuor to scout ahead and she leads the way back to the road.

Lorae moves up to Logan as her packs his gear, "Your aid to Highnar was greatly appreciated, But for this day you and I can switch back a forth as rear guard."

She then goes to Highnar's mount and takes the gelding nose and turns it to her, for a while they commune and when it seems Highnar is ready to mount Lorae leads the gelding over to where the Dwarf is, swings the reins over the gelding head and gives it a command, "Kneel."

With that the gelding dropped to his knees, putting the stirrup much closer to the ground.

"It was my pleasure", Logans tells Lorae as they are preparing to start the new days travel. "If we are all on horse back, we can make better time than if we must wait for one who is not. Besides, everyone should now how to ride a horse, walking is just to damn slow. Also the switching of rear guard makes sence, keeps a fresh set of eyes on or backs for look out. One person doing it to often can get mondane. Not to mention the possibility of slacking off and then being surprised."
