Nobody knew they were being watched. Even demons can't spot a kender when he doesn't want to be found.

He resisted the urge to run forth and grab the wings, or to tug the demons hair, or to pull the werewolves tail. Everything here was just so exciting! He felt his limbs get stiff, so he tried to stretch them.

He then fell ten feet out of a tree and landed next to the werewolf.

"AHHHH! Are you gonna eat me? I know it's bad, but it would be dreadfully exciting to be eaten by a werewolf. OH! What are you? You look pretty, but deadly. Where's the man with the wings, or the demon lady that he slept with? Oh, my name is Bobledoboingyberoo. What's yours?"

"Fall back! Fall back to the rally point!" the commander screamed. The humans soldiers fled in full retreat as the daedric armies pushed forward. Roy stood his ground, surrounded by the only three soldiers brave enough to give their lives so the rest could live.

"We follow your lead Arch Angel!" one shouted, casting a quick glance at Roy before returning his attnetention the company of demons charging up the hill.

"Draw swords!" Roy roared, slinging his blade from the sheath. The three others did as ordered, and they yelled triumphantly. It was a good day to die. "Hold your ground, be steady!" Roy went on, "if they pass this point, they do so over our corpses!"

The daedric captain held his ranks some one hundred yards away. He loosed a gutteral roar and spat on the ground next to him. "Three men and a bird, this is all the Southern Empires can throw against us!" His teeth were yellow and pointed.

"It is more manpower than you have!" Roy shot back, sending him a foul glare along with his comment.

"Bah!" the demon chortled, "let us settle this like warrior...your best fighter to mine, you don't have much of a choice."

Roy nodded. "So be it, but should I strike him down, you will retreat and let alone this pass!" It wasn't a question, it was a demand.

"I will make no promises!" the captain retorted, "but for now, you have my word. We shall flee should you win....but should I win, we will continue onward and burn and pilage and rape....and we will not stop!"

The men behind him formed a mighty chorus of yells and laughs.

Roy stepped forward. "You shall have to fight through me!"

The captain drew his sword. "Then so be it..."

Ella blinked at the suddenly appearing kender. "How the f*** slipped me a drug?!?"

The captain stood still, his hand twitching along the pommel of his sworD. Roy was shocked that demons could carry out a civilized duel. The two stared at each other, before both stepping forward into the streets. The gates loomed behind Roy, up a winding pass through the city. Behind the demon was his army, and behind them a snow covered expanse that served as the final gateway into the Innner Kingdoms.

They both moved at the same time, meeting each others blades with shocking force. They held the two sowrds together, grunting and flexing under the strain of the their own strenght. Finally, their swords slip past one another and pointed downward. The demon was a little faster on his recovery, and he swung low at Roy. The Arch Angel lurched into the air and landed with a thud, taking advantage of his well time dodge to launch a vertical strike, which the demon was quick to block and snuff aside.

This was to be a long fight.

Before she had a chance to answer Ella, Rajani looked drunkenly down at the Kender that fell from the tree. She started to giggle at him as he rambled.

"You're a weird lil' thing, ain'tcha? I'm not gonna eatcha. I'm Rajani." She smiled cheerfully and looked back to Ella. "Yeah, that guy Roy, he found me wanderin' an' took me here, but he an' that demon chickie, they hadda fight, an' he left an' she's ina tent, an'... Hi!"

She grinned stupidly, face red.

Ella sighed. "Oh god, Artura..." She looked at those two and sighed again. Leaving a drunken... thing and a half-thing would be a bad idea. She had to stay.

The kender bobbed, his long blonde hair whipping behind him.

"You can call me Beroo, Rajini. I'm a kender, you see. That makes me the best travel companion you can ever have!"

"Oh my god, I'm in hell."

"I've always wanted to go there. It looks awfully thrilling. Say, does anybody happen to have any food? Hey, where did I find this ring? Huh, who cares."

The Kender began to dig through his packs, hoping to find something he could eat.

The sword clanged down next to him as rolled out of the way. His wing was cut, so he pulled it back into his back. He swung low and struck the demon in the leg. He howled in aginy and stumbled backward, giving Roy the perfect chance.

He rushed him, and pointed his sword directly at the mans chest, where his sick demonic heart lay beating. He placed his ahnd on the pommel and rammed the blade into the heart of his foe. A blood curtling scream tore open the pass, accompanied by the sick crack of steel through bone and flesh.

"Awwwww, lil'thing's soooo cuuuute!" She scooped up Beroo and hugged him tight, nuzzling him with her cheek.

"Uh, sure." Ella scowled. Drunken idiot and tiny idiot. GREAT.

Beroo was having fun. He got to hug a werewolf.

Ahh, life was good. Except all his pouches were on the ground now. And he saw a dagger that wasn't his, and he could've sworn he'd seen it on Rajini's belt earlier.

She must've dropped it.

The daedric army had fled, as promised, but if he knew demons, they would be back.

He spread his wings and took flight, deciding to stop by the camp and spy on his old compatriots, he'd had enough of all of them, he wasn't going back to stay.

Artura came out of the tent. "Hi. Bye." She strolled off, unfocused on the world.
