Sgt Lee
I am not going to post anything for this thread until something happens or something is posted to the area that Lee and the other men are guarding.
Consider them still doing what they were doing until something changes. No use posting short posts about continuing action.

Have to drive V to school...we just got another foot of snow and it's too slippery for her to walk.

a teensy bit more detail needed...
The looey wants to stay in the presumably defendable observatory. The plan is to post two guards to stay with the station troops while th rest of you explore. I have pointed out that it is cold here, due to the uninsulated roof; not deathly cold, per se, but you'll have to take measures to keep warm.
Kane is against staying here, feeling that the defensibility could mean a deathtrap.
I need to know if you are indeed going to use the observatory as your base of operations, and who you wish to post to guard duty. A revised marching order would be nice, as well, but I can whip something up if you prefer.

I posted again...
I posted a response to Kane's observation about the observatory...anyway, please correct me if my assumptions indeed made an ass out of me.
Also, what kind of precautions beyond what we're already toting would be necessary. Maybe I misunderstood the situation. I presumed that the station guards had been there a while and were fine, so we would be as well.

fine...
Well, looking at the situation again, your coldgear will certainly do the job... so disregard that silliness by me.
And yes, you could theoretically retreat through the ceiling. By the looks of things, the observatory has not been used in some time, but you should be able to open the ceiling... and if nothing else, toss a rope up to climb.

As far as which two players I assign to guard duty. Though thinking on it would that be a good idea spilting up the unit??
At least in the Movies THAT NEVER WORKS OUT .

hehe
Aw, c'mon... "Let;s split up and search for clues!" Make sure to go into dark, scary places alone.
I think the looey is concerned that these two might shoot you in the back if somebody doesn't keep an eye on 'em. Besides, you guys felt pretty good about two four man fire teams; now, you have a big six man team with a two man reserve.
Or something.

Yeah Well
That was differrent the two four man units were headed TOWARDS each other not AWAY from each other.
In this situation I would feel better with the old adage "Keep friends close keep your enemies closer" But I am only a lowly NCO and will follow the Lt's orders.
And Hey Yanamari's back

Well, as soon as I know who is staying behind, and what the marching order is, I'll post the next disast...er...development in this story.

I would post that now
But I have to leave shortly for a meeting with an admissions officer to see about going back to school and find out if I am eligible for financial aid.
Have to thank Admiral for this as the more I thought about his situation the more the idea of going back to school to learn a skill appealed to me.

me
I figured I'd be going rather than staying, and won't be on point...
And yes, good luck, Tann. Going back to school is one of my dreams, but can't find anything compatible with my travel. Oh, well, my mom got her master's in her fifties, so I guess I have time yet
