hmm
You know roughly 70% of the population is Infrared. 10% is Red. 10% is Orange. 5% Yellow, etc.
Alpha Complex's total population is somewhere in the billions. You aren't exactly sure how big it is, or how many people there are. You doubt anyone but Friend Computer knows.

Regarding names
Gboy, in character, all our characters know the names of the others, thus introductions are unnecessary.

onward?
I'm moving forward on Monday. Get your posts in before then if you want to do anything else. Also Grugg.
By the way, the computer database will return somewhere in the area of 45 trillion results if you run a search on that subsector. You might want to narrow down your search. Next person to bring it up in game can feel free to point that out.

Well then...
Maybe 45 trillion is a bit to much.

holiday
I know some of us had a holiday to deal with, but let's still try to shoot for Monday for an update day. Only two posts in so far. If not, no biggie, but I would like to get moving.
One person has decided to break from the group.

ok
Just to clear up a few things now that we're in full swing.
The "goal" of the game is to root out traitors, including each other.
Remember - you need reasonable proof of treason to execute a fellow Red. So if one of you wants to follow gboy and figure out what he's doing you are welcome to try. But if you find he's advancing the mission is some way then you might be guilty of wasting time yourself.
I rolled a quick roll and Skari's shot went off ok, if not a little dirty. It's up to you how you want to deal with the Infrared's gear, or if you want to leave it to the servobots. There is currently a big mess of corpse blood and guts on the floor. I'll deal with the cleanup next post but Meri has the right idea. You guys can feel free to play on each other's actions without waiting for me. This is free-form and the entire rules section of the Paranoia book is labeled "Optional" after all.
Remember, out of character you know you are all traitors either via mutation or secret society or both. How much in game comes out is another story.
And you were given order to get moving and root out the commie bastards now. It's up to you guys how to interpret those orders. Already I've had two PM's with different interpretations. If you can defend your interpretation and use it as backup for your actions then more power to you.
And don't take it personally if you die. You all will at some point, and in the event you burn all 7 of your lives we'll get you set up with a new character if you want to keep playing.

heh
My point was that none of us had actually said that we had read the manual for the laser-thing-a-magic, so I naturally assumed that Oscar had not read it and did in fact not know how to arm the pistol before firing.
Thusly, Oscar failed to shoot the Infrared in question due to incompetence.
Or, at least that's my original idea.

Edit?
So then do I need to edit my post?
And we need proof to execute a fellow Red, do we have to provide that proof to a Blue first, or shoot first and provide proof after?

I was assuming you had all read the manual at some point beings you've been troubleshooters for a while. If you want to have specifically not read it, then we'll go with that and Meri will have to edit her post, probably to killng you
But Meri, it all depends on the superior. If you are never questioned about it, then you don't have to provide any proof.
You are legally allowed to kill people as Troubleshooters, and legally allowed to kill Infrareds as Reds, but you must be able to back up why if asked by a superior or another troubleshooter. If you can't back it up, then you can be shot for treason. If you are never asked, then you lucked out.

Alright
I'll just edit that last bit of my post. Much less work than to edit the whole post.
Additionally, we have witnesses to him blocking our path to fulfill our direct orders.
EDIT: and of course, as soon as I post that, Meri has started editing her post.
