Ok, grugg is officially wizard. even though goblinoids are allowed, i didnt want bugbears. but if someone really wanted to play a bugbear, i'd have to start the party at least at level four. If everyone wants to be level four instead and have a bugbear in the party i'm fine with that, but i need consent from party. other races allowed are
orcs
goblins(also there are sub races of goblins i'll post soon.)
hob goblins
kobolds ( i added these because i didn't know they are also a playable race in eberron )
bugbears if group allows

Froups
I like your idea Loki. It makes a lot of sense to have the right combination to make the group work.

Im up for starting at level 4.
If only because I get a wee bit more room to play.
EDIT: When you say the Complete series, do you mean all of them? Are you including Mage/Champion/Scoundrel etc?
<_<

Starting level
If you still wanted to do level 2 as a starting level we could create a monster class for bugbear so anyone choosing that race would have to finish out the monster class first before choosing a core class. Just a thought.
So if wizard is the only class taken I suppose I will choose either a rogue or a monk. I can do either one depending on what we most need.

and sorry for not responding earlier to your post steelight, yes i meant to say there is a 4th spot up for grabs... well not anymore since you've taken it but now we have a full group and i'll take character sheets after we decide on a group level, which i'm liking the fourth level idea, so now you will all be level four characters. sorry for all the changes on you guys. As for gear, buy stuff equal to 2,700 gold. No magical item can be more than 1,350 gold.

so we have a wizard, a rogue, and the others are undecided. Maybe a cleric and a fighter for a classic group?
any of you have an idea of what races you are going to play?

Goblin subtypes-
There are two goblin subtypes you can be, but i can't get information as my brother left the books at my friends house -_-
These are the two subtypes you can be:
Blues(extended psionics handbook)
Forestkith Goblin(Monster Manual III)

Monk it is!
I will be the monk then. Likely he will serve as our melee combatant. I haven't decided on a race as of yet. I think I might be leaning towards a bugbear (for strength) or a kobold (just because their small and nasty...). Or perhaps a hobgoblin. I'll think a bit more and get back to you.

Well, the reason why I said lvl 4 for bugbear is because all bugbear characters start with 3 lvl's of monster, and they have an ecl of +1. so if we're starting at lvl 4 you will have your 3 levels of monster(which gives you a skill list, skill points, like two feats, i think 2 bab, and everything a regular class would have.) and thats it. once you level up, you'll have your 3 levels of monster, your ecl +1, and your first PC class, which will be a total of ECL 5. and forewarning, kobolds get -4 str :X so monk might not be best for them...
I WILL have every non standard race typed up and put up here for you guys, its just my brother left every book we have at a friends house which i cant get to atm >.< tomorrow though. i promise.

*smirk*
I've played a kobold monk before, they can really be fun... though probably not as the primary fighter of the group. I'll look at the races and see what I come up with.

character
EDIT:
Scratch that, I'll still play a cleric but I'll find a better idea. My current one has lead me closer to paladin then I'd like to go.

Yes I'll try not to be misled by the choices of STRENGTH AND WAR into thinking he's some kind of pacifist.
Jozan I have to yell at you on MSN at some point, I have some ideas I want to rapidfire past you that would be too messy to post.
