Any job given to the Blue Hand's members are first approved by guild leadership.

Agreed on keeping the Character's name in the Subject box, shouldn't limit it to just the name, in my opinion, but yeah.

And does your second comment mean that we still have to go get it authorized, or does it mean that such has already been done?

As a comment to my own post: I think we should split up, and I don't usually like splitting up. The thing is though, that this is just an initial search for information. I think it should be fairly easy for Thiferl and Argent to find out where the letter was received, and get a little bit of info more. I think in an hour, some people should be able to find out what the handle is. If not, we will find out later, when we actually go out into the city. For now, I say we stay in headquarters.

I agree to not limiting the subject to character names, but I would like to see the character name as the first word if possible.

My second comment meant the the jobs have already been seen and approved by someone in your guild chain of command that is higher than you, otherwise you would have never seen the job. I had thought I said this earlier, but looking through posts it seems I did not. Sorry about that.

When gathering information, if your characters have any specific methods in mind or if they want to actually spend gold to assist in the gathering of information please let me know, either by stating as much in your main thread post or here in the Q&A. Methods and money can modify your chances of success.

And remember, at least in this job, time does matter.

You can choose either way. Either you stayed behind, or you went out searching for some of the same information and came up with nothing. Whichever option you choose will be fine.

I expected this sort of situation, and am trying to use it to help you guys get used to my gaming style (particularly since I'm still adjusting to PbP).

At this rate I'm going to have to take ranks in Perform (mime) because with our DM's rules regarding skills that's about all I'll be allowed to put ranks in.

Or you could make a new skill; 'eating'... that you have also done. But let's hope that we won't be standing in a room for the rest of the adventure. In that case I think we would have a tough job getting XP for a next level.

I'm sure by now you have caught on to the fact that Echario is just a little bit on the odd side. His personality is quite eccentric and unique. He's going to be a fun character if I can keep this going without alienating the entire campaign world.

And just so everyone knows, I do intend to crack open this silent shell he's in, he's just not ready yet, still not comfortable.

Just giving you a heads up, I'll be in Europe for the month of August, so probably not a lot of posting as internet cafes cost money. So Thiferl will do whatever Argent is doing, unless there's fighting, then he can be on the back line if healing is necessary. I'll be back in September though. I'm having a lot of fun, can't wait to see what happens next.

I appreciate the heads up. I will make sure not to act too out of character for you while you're gone. Though I do hope the story moves a little further before you head off so you at least have a taste of what you're getting in to...

Did anyone actually turn up anything, or are we just waiting around to find out that none of this planning is getting us anywhere and we would've been better off just acting?

Sorry if I seem impatient, but nothing seems to be moving in any of my games and I'm getting antsy for some action.

Dakarta found out a little bit, but not enough to alter any plans you are making. He tells me he will be posting later tonight, so I would say go ahead and act without his knowledge and he can back post accordingly.
