Google to the rescue

I was getting ready to start a new D&D campaign and was looking for interesting ideas for traps and other resources. The Inn popped as one of the first places. I've been more or less lurking since.

Another forum

I was linked to Loaded Dice when it started up again recently from another forum.

Meri Meri Quite Contrary...

Well... I was looking for a place for online role play. I (I am almost embarassed to admit) started off on a site called the Dragon Inn way back in the day... one of those 'chat' free form places where you had to hit the reload button to see the latest conversation. I was on and off there for nearly ten years (it eventually moved to Mylanders Inn). But it was getting pretty quiet in there and I felt I needed something a little more 'grown up'

So I started scouring Google for someplace I would fit in. RDInn was not my first stop, I hit a few other sites first and they were either just as dead as Mylanders or unfriendly (*cough* Mystic Realms *cough*)... so I kept looking until I wound up here.

Posted up an intro thread, found a call for an evil campaign and created Cayrimsa... and plunged into the rabbit hole from there.

I really feel that the warm welcome I got and all the people here who were willing to show me the ropes (and still do) are what kept me coming around all these years. And hopefully will continue doing so for a long time.

you all!!

M.

How I stumbled in.

To be honest I saw a post on a web comic listing about the Inn offering hosting for fantasy/RPG related webcomics and poked my head in to see what things are like over here. After poking around I vaguely remember being here before looking for AD&D information a while ago when I was DMing.

As for why I'm sticking around... all things shall become clear in time... kehehe.

Gladiator Group

I had been involved since the late 1990s with a Play by Mail Gladiator Game originally titled Duelmasters until a certain company yanked their name and forced them to change to Duel2.

One day at the Reality Simulations website I noticed a thread about D&D and Gary Gygax right after he died. Some of my Duel friends were old D&D 2.0 players who no longer had anyone in their neighborhood to play table top games and one guy who still DMs games with his family decided to do a Play by Post at the Red Dragon Inn!

We came over here and I got into the Chat Room and read other games and got involved in a few games that ended up fizzling out (including our Original Adventure) and I continued to get into other adventures that either fizzled or I had to bow out from due to Real Life situations.

That included 2 adventures that I started up that ended due to laptop crashes and another Real Life situation.

I would lurk from afar for several months while I put together a 3rd adventure and when I got my new laptop ordered I used a friend's laptop to get The Crimson Crusaders going here at the Inn.

I enjoy writing and reading some of the adventures here and the InnMates have become Great Friends since that time!

Tek

I got here after a discussion about D&D with Tek in High School. First post was an unsolicited intrusion into a certain Admiral's game that took place in Bayris...

D&D-Related Webcomic addiction for me.

I think it was through the "Loaded Dice" webcomic for me. I think I was linked to it, or heard it at least mentioned, somewhere on forums related to the webcomic "Order of the Stick".

Of course, I found later how much more such a site had to offer. ^^
