She is a high elf adept lvl 3/ Expert lvl 3 and is now for the past 15 years the Grand Vizier to the king, and for the past 2 years Garthraike's steward. She's not much to look at but not to be underestimated.

As of Page 222 of the DMG I, the base price of ANY +2 item ( whether it be +2 enhancement, or for example a +1 flaming longsword) Is at minimum 8,000 gold pieces, not including MW price and original price of weapon. So anything above +1 item enhancement or an equivilant is over 8k, which also means its over the 4.9k


a +1 spellstoring Greatsword would be 8,350 gold.

a +1 flaming heavy mace would be 8,312


its not that flaming costs 2k, and enhancement 1 cost 2k, they stack to make it +2 enchancement which is 8k. and you can have this up to +10 over all ( with +5 being enhancement max)

Every one needs to double check their character to see if any of their weapons are +1 with a special ability or if any of their items are cost more than 4900gp. Its not allowed. I'm trying to get the game going, and I want it to start and stay fair.

NO ONE SHOULD AT THIS POINT HAVE AN ITEM WORTH MORE THAN 4900 GP.

An example of this would be a +1 greatsword of spellstoring (spell storing is = to a +1 enhancement for cost purposes so +1 and a +1 enhancement is +2)
Jozan1 is right pg 222 says a +2 weapon (+2 to attack and damage or +1 and special ability) is a minimum of 8000gp.

You know who I'm talking to when I say, I shouldn't HAVE to check your work or take anyone by the hand and help them make their character for them. So far I've seen three players who know how to follow directions, and I applaud them for it.

I'm sure its just an easy fix, I had to have Kaelyn point out to me how magic items work because I thought the same thing at first, it is confusing but as long as everyone is on the same page now it should be ok =]

Yeah, sorry about that. Tiamat, I sent you a reply to the pm about the weapon. just to be clear, didn't realize I went over the limit, just remove the flaming from the attributes of the mace but keep everything else the same. That should take care of the issue of the cost limit.

Also, it's been pointed out to me several times that I can't use the spiked gauntlets and the gloves of storing but I just wanted to make it clear that my guy is only wearing 1 of each, as they come as a single item listed in the DMG and are not made as a pair. The DMG specifically says that only a single glove of storing is produced in the crafting process and my guy only has one on. I know it will look weird on a guy to have one of each on but he is a battle medic and doesn't care about fashion sense either lol.

On pgs. 217-219 of the PhB II, is a list of equipment by level which states that the majority of PCs get a +2 weapon at tenth level. So, sorry for the issues raised, but PLEASE check the book to see what you are allowed.

Also look above the price cap has been raised to 25% so you players can buy level appropriate gear.

Will our characters be able to us their gold to research spells from the spell compendium to add to their spell lists later on?

might as well ask about feats while i'm at it. are we going to have access to other books for our feat selections when we level up?

This adventure is one in a series of three adventures. you all will level at the end will a 1000 exp. toward your next level (all encounters of this adventure before the BIG BOSS will level you up. the boss will give you 1000 more exp).

Incentive for speedy (but good!) posts and finishing the adventure.

So i guess the answer to your other questions is, the 4 books you started with are the only books that are going to be used for THIS adventure.

I may make one or two new books available to the players in the next adventure in the series but I pick the books. The books should have something for everybody to work with.

I will be getting some items out of the Arms and Equipment Guide and Magic item Compendium to put into caches and treasures in this adventure.

I haven't read your post yet, but I'll pm you if i ever have any problems with your posts, or I'll just role play around them.

The Supplies I have is all that I need... I think. How long would it take us to get to this Leafhaven? I am thinking as far as food.

On my character sheet I did not put down my hp, but rather what my hd was and the min-max for the hp out comes with the added +1 con mod from my amulet of health in parentheses "()" I figured you would want to determine HP on whatever system you went with. so could ya update that for me as well :3
