Well if you will assist in making a character then count me in. I will study the Audalis setting and check out the different races. I will PM you ideas on my character.
Thanks!

Audition of sorts ...
..... for a few laughs!
At long last the opportunity to join an adventure in Audalis had finally come his way!
He had been practicing leg kicks and karate chops while spending months in isolation harmonizing his inner strength to help rid the land of any new evil threatening the realm.
The parchment notice said to go to the casting office of a legendary tale spinner by name of Alacrity.
He stood in line with some of the others, but he barely could be noticed above knee cap level.
When the rather stern voice bellowed forth "Next" it was all he could do to walk up to the desk and knock on the wooden frame to get the director's attention.
After a few moments the Casting Director realized that the character who had answered the summons for new adventurers could not be seen from behind the massive desk.
With a scowl on his face the legendary Alacrity pointed to the sign above his desk that read:
Audalis races only (no Brathunspar though).
"Besides", smiled the legendary Alacrity who was trying to suppress the urge to make an example of the Brathunspar Monk, "this is a 2e game and not a 3.0 or above!"

legendary?
I wouldn't call myself legendary. More of my games flop then .... unflop.
RPN - sent you a reply
Dark Lady - Send me some idea of what you want to play. We have a fighter, a fighter/thief, a cleric and a mage.

some notes
Players that have played with me before will know that I use a percentage base for healing. In low level campaigns I set a minimum points of healing so that you aren't left dying and getting only 2 points of healing per spell. For this adventure, the minumum for a cure light is 8 points.
Posting actions should be devoid of other players unless you have spoken/pm/emailed or in someway communicated with them. Even the smallest of actions (John steps out of my way as I barrel through the door) should be considered, especially if said person has posted already.
I don't consider order of posting to be order of action, or else the first person to post will be at a disadvantage. Post what you want to do, and how you would do it, and I will post what actually happened. It won't always be the same. If the party wants to split up and everyone posts they are going left, I will will set people off to the right (usually after a round of pm's).
When you are wounded, I will not post the number of hit points lost. I use the following:
Minor Wounds - less than 10% of HP loss
Light Wounds - Between 11 to 25% of HP loss
Serious Wounds - Between 26 to 50% of HP loss
Critical Wounds - Between 51 to 75% of HP loss
Grave Wounds - more than 76% loss

okay now
Hammer - Khord Cleric
Tann Talas - Sylvari Fighter/Thief
*Tiamat - Kelden Mage
*RPN - Sylvari Ranger
*Dark Lady - Human warrior
So we have a five person team now which works well. If someone comes along with another character that will add to the mix great (another mage perhaps), but you can work with the five as well.
Some of you(*), I am helping out so give me a bit of time to get everything done and ready. I project that we can start before end of month, most likely 19th-20 as opening posts.

character list
Do we need a character list thread? That is a place where all the characters are listed with stats and equipment. I don't usually do them for D&D games but if people want me to, I will.

I have no problem with it
Go for it, it may help to let the other players understand the inter-connected backgrounds of a few of the other characters.

I know you are doing the rolls but....
a character list would be helpful to me to see my stats and maybe gain an understanding of 1e/2e.
Also, I dont know if armor works anywhere near similar to 3.0 (spell failure chance), but Im not sure if it would be wise for my character to wear armor.
Also, where would I find an equipment list to choose my gear from?

mages and Armour
Mages do not wear armour of any sort. That is the downside of mages. Weapons are real restricted too (staff, dagger).
Now I use a mana based system for spells. You have so many mana points and you cast spells via those points. A first level spell costs one point. Second level 2 points. You get the idea.
Now Wan will start the adventure with 4 mana plus his bonus for INT which is 3 so 7 mana. That means he can cast 7 1st level spells a day. You do not need to memorize, you are assumed to be able to cast any spell in your book. So go ahead and cast 7 magic missiles if you want.
If you run out of mana (and it does happen) you can still cast spells - at the cost of your hit points. Same amount 1 for 1, 2 for 2 etc. However you can't heal that damage. You have to rest for 8 hour per hit point lost to get them back. Don't go to zero - it is a bad scene.

Characters
I would like to see a character list; it would give me a chance to see the character stats and other stuff and perhaps I can learn more about D&D and how it is played.
No hurray on the characters; end of the month is fine with me. Looking forward to it.
