By the way...

I am planning on having a character sheet for myself up tonight. Either Human or Clone. I imagine him to be the "officer" of the group.... loyal to the Empire and slightly disappointed with this rag-tag lot he's been ordered to lead.

A comment and a question...

Not sure where Chessicfayth has been at the last couple days, but I know that he was planning on submitting a character too... a force-sensitive Gran sniper if I'm not mistaken (Scout / Scoundrel). I hope it's not too late for him to join.

Also... thanks for the post! Am I understanding correctly that we (the PCs) are all jumping out of the gunship as well?

What do we know?

A couple more questions:

1) Do we know where the nearest command post is? How far away is it? And in which direction? (i.e. is this movement to the trench bringing us closer or further away?)

2) I am assuming we all at least know each other's names already, having been either introduced at a briefing, or on the ship ride over. (If I'm wrong let me know) I'm also asuming we have a general sense of the role each of us is to play (or at least Cam, as the commanding officer, does). i.e. Fayt is our hacker, the Gran is a sniper, etc. I'm wondering if we've worked together before? Have we completed any other missions together?

Answers

1 You( the PC's) aren't aware of the direction or the distance to the command post at this second, but the info will be received by your Heads up display(helmet package) or comlinks in the next post.

2 I believe that your characters met on the Star Destroyer (though some of the mercenaries may have met before). You haven't worked together, but may have ran a couple training rounds together on board the star destroyer. I'd think you'd be aware of each others names and basic attributes, unless one character was trying to conceal them.

Not really a requirement

If I happen to find a vocabulator some place (maybe mech-anibalize a wayward droid?) then I can install it and then converse in basic. But as far as droid understanding goes, I'm pretty sure it's safe to say basic meanings/emotions can be easily conveyed, if R2 in the movies was any indication. If it comes down to briefings/planning, I'm sure I can manipulate what Fayt's holographic projector's output is to convey things like suggestions.

I don't see any tech-people in the group so don't think the characters would go out of their way to talk to a droid anyhow

That being said, do let me know if I should refrain from or inversely expand more on Fayt's vocalizations. In my experience, when playing a droid, the beeps are half the fun.

I actually wanted to take a language that would let me talk to Fayt, but without the sourcebook, I wasn't sure such a language was available, you know?

And suprisingly enough, Binary will fit in with where I hope this character goes.
