Whole new world

I know. Wild eh?

Module is interesting so far. Reminds me of a couple of the TSR 1st level ones.

1st level TSR?

That's not a bad thing, really.

not at all

Nothing wrong will a bit of railroading at 1st level.

"You are guarding a caravan from Big City to Smalltown. To get there you must take the Youwillbeambushed Pass, which is horribly unpatrolled due to recent budget cuts. Suddenly when you turn left into Cutthroatsbehere Gully ...."

yep

I'd go so far as to say that a tactful bit of railroading is almost vital to any game.

Otherwise, you get PCs wandering around with no goal whatsoever. Yay, let's tour the countryside, isn't this fun?

TSR?

This is a term I am unfamiliar with, and I don't trust urban dictionary to tell me what it is correctly.

heh

TSR is the company that owned D&D before Wizard of the Coast purchased it. I can understand avoiding urban dictionary.

Thanks!

I should have known Wizards hadn't owned it forever! I was thinking TSR stood for some acronym about railroading players at the early stages of your campaigns.

See, my opinion on that is that you should be able to railroad players at the beginning of your campaigns, not necessarily at level 1 campaigns.

choo choo

I have railroaded with the best of them. I liked that this new module had that element to it because it felt familiar.

...if you don't railroad your players how is one of them ever gonna get hit by that train?

:)

A nice review again and once more I have to agree with Olan. I looking forward to getting my hands on the box myself and for that price, it's a bargain.

Thanks Alacrity!
