Choices..............
Well I've figured it out that if I want to get back to writing I have to stop spending so much time on FB.
I brain numb read all that fluff and the next thing I know it's been hours.
Soooo.... if I am your FB friend don't be surprised if you don't see me there so much.

For the record, my preference is to create a new character, if that's alright.

New Characters
Yes a new character is perfectly ok Chessic. Dragon-soul taking over Talca is a good thing as he is pretty much playing a new character as he has not been part of the party very long.
Oh and as far as Alacrity joining Trilogy, as much as I'd love that, I don't think he has the time at present to do so. Though the door is always open.

Healers.......
Think about healer / fighters. We get into some real deadly battles and take a bunch of damage so we to be healed quickly.
I hope Keeper comes back, he's so good at this game.

A Ranger's Duty
I read Talca's information and I have a vague idea of what a Ranger does: he finds a safe path through dangerous environments, correct? Does he have any other duties?

Rangers
Rangers are also fighters. Talca won't be quite as much of a meat-shield as Lothor is, but he is a warrior. His jam is probably a bit more to the bow - although he also has a couple of pretty cool blades if I remember correctly. Basically a ranger is a woodsman style fighter - good in nature but also a bladesman. Think Aragorn.

Ranger
Here is what is says about Rangers for the Introduction of Ranger's handbook.
The ranger is one of the most popular character classes in the AD&D® game. A woodsman and tracker, as well as a dangerous fighter, he combines good combat skills with a few extra abilities that give him many options and decisions during play. He boasts the courage and strength of a warrior and the stealth and self-reliance of a thief. He combines the druid's affinity for the outdoors with the devotion and magical aptitude of a priest. He's a hunter, a tracker, and a survivalist. By temperament and by choice, he's a loner, often preferring the company of animals to people. Without question, he's one with nature, sworn to protect the inhabitants of the wilderness and preserve the integrity of the land.
The ranger's origins can be traced to the time when isolated human settlements were first founded in areas of unclaimed wilderness, or in areas occupied only by savage humanoid tribes. Those who were at first hunters, trappers, and guides were turned by the necessities of survival into canny wilderness warriors; and ultimately into the principle protectors of the scattered settlements of humans and demihumans, which had to fend off countless humanoid raids.

Healers
We need healers and meat shields, most of the characters are composites in some way. Assuming Cor and Rayne stay on (we need them) the party has 3 full healers (Valene, Cor, and Rayne are all clerics) and 3 with healing ability (Siréne is a mage/druid, Lothor and Talca are rangers). Another healer or meat shield would be good.
Chessic, there’s room for dual and multi characters if you don’t want to do a straight healer.
Tann, we need Rayne. If nobody claims her, I can take her on as well. Will shoot you a message later.

No ranger here
Lothor is not a ranger. He is a full on meat-shield warrior.
Although he'd like to think of himself as more of a commander, not just muscle with a sword.

A little bit of an oops
Dragon-soul, Ody just today reminded me that Talca did not return to the future with the rest of the party, however thats easily fixed. If you want to keep his name we can say he is the past Talca's son or a relative as he is afterall an Elf. Or you could rename him to something you'd like him to be called. Plus if there is any part of him you do not like we could edit the character easily. Example: Right now his main weapons are a pair of machete's. We could easily change them to swords or matching weapons of your choice. Kinda make him more your creation then someone else's if thats what you want. Or of course we can always just leave him as is and like I said rename him or say he is in some way related.
As far as having an animal companion yes I'll allow that however what you get is totally random and is determined by a die roll. Also so far for the most part the party's animal companions have been getting killed or have run off. Example Ody lost his magical faery dragon in a battle and hopes to resurecct her because she is magic and has a slight chance to be brought back. Normal animals don't get that chance as if they are brought back to life they come back as an undead creature. So yes you can can have a companion, but just be aware I treat them as I do any other character holding nothing back in the way of damage.
Let me know....
