Question # 3

3rd question!

Purchasing a Blow Gun costs 5 gold coins?

Does the Blow Gun come with appropriate ammunition?

If not, how much ammunition would 1 gold coin purchase?

Thanks again!

Question # 3

Hammer as a Paladin you're probably not going to be using a blowgun. For the most part I believe you'll be melee and avoid ranged weapons. The two weapons that come to mind most in IMO are a Longsword and a Lance(check with Trip on much gold you'll start with since you'll need a horse for the Lance to be effective). When you get a chance you should read (if you haven't already) the description of Paladins in the Players Handbook. Paladins are fun to play but carry some some restrictions.

I'm playing a dwarven fighter so I'm sure it's going to be the two of us at the front of the party dealing and taking alot of damage.

Blowgun response

Thanks for the advice Elephant, but I still would like to know about the blowgun!

Trip has already outfitted Gunther with weapons and armor and I have some gold coins left over for a couple of purchases [up to me if I want to buy anything else!] and I also have to tithe as a Paladin!

I have read the info about the Paladin [again I appreciate your suggestion!] and discovered they have the ability to detect evil monsters or evil characters from 60 feet away for one turn!

Hence the blowgun possibility for some stealth measures, but wanted to know about the weapon anyway and if it came with ammunition or do you have to buy the ammunition separately?

Which leads me to question #4 .....

Question # 4

My 4th question is if a character is allowed to give any of his backpack provisions or weapons that he/she is carrying to another member of the war party?

I tried reading a bunch last night and I am thinking that the gold coins in your possession are NOT transferable to another character, but I may be suffering from sleep deprivation and be a bit foggy minded on the matter!

Shoot me some numbers Trip!

The Consortium - Sentinel The Small

Sentinel The Small, a neutral halfling thief sends his regards.

It has been a long, long time since this old guy has participated in something that he knew little about - so this will be educational and fun.

Trip has "rolled me", but I have much more to do/figure out. One thing for sure, don't look for me at the front of the melees. I will be the one hiding behind the rock, and only a small rock will be necessary. (snicker) But when you want some REAL work done, finding, opening, warning, stealing - then call on the one, the only, the wonderful Sentinel The Small.
P.S. I only plan to run one team.

Curious if this is just for Duel !! players

If not I have a friend that would probably love to get into this since he's moved to Tennessee and doesn't have any gamers near there.

Just let me know if you care or not. I'd figure the more the merrier.

Kit's

Kits are "Sub" classes of characters that come from other books from the AD&D game. For instance some paladins may be "Cavaliers" and such. Adding them could cause a problem if you aren't sure whats going on. I do have the books if you have to have a kit, but I would prefer with the amount of players I have to limit the kits if at all possible.

Hammer

I think I answered a lot of your questions in emails. The transfer of money and items is absolutely allowed. You can do anything you want once we get started ;-)

Your money situation is fine. I think I posted in your sheet how much you have AFTER your equipment was purchased. So use that as if you have already tithed.

JGW - more Players

Right now I think we are pretty much strapped! We have a bunch more still coming in as well. I will see what we end up with and may be able to squeeze someone in, but its a long shot at the moment. If you want tell him to look through the recruitment section in the Boards here. They are always looking for good role-players.

Character background

Hey Trip

Question #5

Does that character background I sent you get posted somewhere for all the players to read or do you just keep it for your records?

Character Background

That is for myself to keep for use and reference. You will act out your player in the game and flesh out his history with the other players in the group. Over a campfire you may tell your tale if that is your desire, or tell it a little at a time. The other players shouldn't know too much about anyone else. The band is just getting together so role-playing is a must.
