With her background Kora could have made lots of money doin' dirty deeds for some low life crime boss but was interested in working with her hands in a more constructive way.
Whatever is best for the crew is how she votes.

So, seriously...
Thanks so much, gang, for your patience with me! Just caught up with the posts and like y'all have already said, "WOW!" nice work!
Special thanks to Van... once again, super-WOW on the date post. Very cool with the added benefit of Beth scoring a new job. That was a nice added touch.
Anyway, I'm back... and will post again this weekend.
Later,
Blammm

Welcome back, Kid!
We missed ya!
Looks like you posted for Asher and i posted for Dash at the same time, too... When our crew gets busy, they don't fool around, I s'pose!
by the by... I edited your last game post to close an italics tag, so don't panic when you see that "edited by eol" bit at the bottom... I didn't change nothin'.

"Occassional audience," indeed... like any time Dash ain't busy flyin' kind of occassional.
Sign me up as a full-time droolin' spectator.

Laughing at Eol
Willow: Come on, Dash...a little flexibility would do you good, and it would help with all that tension you're carrying."
Dash: Gorram it, woman! I like my tension where it is!
Away for a couple of days, so I posted up to Al's last DM post.

Emergency positions
Since you have been together in space for awhile, you have become accustom to a certain order to your chaos. So sound off here as to what that is and how.
I would imagine that Trish would immediately take the secondary pilot control and work on controlling the mundane things so Dash can worry about strictly flying. Of course, since she can't talk it limits communication but a basic sign language would be feasible. Or maybe she helps Kora in the the engine room? That would depend on Wyatt and whether he'd prefer to help fly or leave the flying to others.
Willow would prep Sickbay just in case?
Kora would take to the Engine room to muster the power and control the damage.
Asher would best keep out of the way.
So please let me know thoughts.

yep
Kora would be in the Engine room or at least close by.
She could possibly help Willow in an emergency situation where she isn't needed mechanically. Being in the Corps, Kora would have basic triage skills.
As for help doing her primary job, no offense to Trish, but Kora prefers to work alone in stressful situations.

Wyatt'd be...
Cockpit, though he'd be hovering by Sam, not in the seat. Similar to the way that Mal hovered over Wash.

In an emergency...
...Dash would let go of the controls, cover his eyes with both hands, and squeal like a little piggy....
Just kidding, of course. As long as Kora's in the engine room keepin' things lit an' it's Wyatt hoverin' an' no one else, Dash's shiny.

FYI
Going into the comet without the other ship would be a hard complex action (55). You will also have to avoid the flying chunks of ice which is also hard (Ship AG + Pilot Skill).
If you don't avoid the ice, then Kora will have to make a Formidable mechanical repair.
Add the other ship and now all checks have moved up a level. Hards are Formidable, and Formidables are Heroic.
Beating the other ship will be Formidable, if you manage to succeed in all of the above. but the shiny part is the other ship also has to make the same rolls.
So when declaring actions, be as specific as possible. In this case if you choose to focus on speed first and manuvering second, it will effect the rolls (IE you pull out in front making the other ship's levels jump higher. Or you botch and get plastered by the ice since you weren't focusing on steering)
