Not to put too fine a point on things, but...
Hey! I can do all of that too, but no one rings a bell for me. What gives?

I am trying to interpret the nmeaning of the words Johnson's six.
Does that mean INga Johansen is in six oclock position to Kane--his back up? Give me a break guy I was never in the army though I have seen a few war movies If thi sis not the right interpretation please clarify it for me her if it is please let me know as well.

learned it from ncis
To be on someone's six, or to have their six is indeed to be in someone's six oclock position. It can also be used informally to mean "I've got your back".
Post delayed due to gorgeous weather and horrible looking post-thaw garden. Hopefully by tonight...

"got your Six"
Van is absolutely right... when your told to watch my six.. it means you have the back guard position.. watching to make sure nothing comes up behind them. Works for ground troops and aerial combat.
As for posting, I am kind of waiting on one of the guys in Charge, the LT or Staff Sgt, to give orders.
Glad to se this adventure going again.. waiting to see what happens next.

technospeak
Bad news for Charlie, Vanadia - looks like there is some sort of corruption to the operating system of the installation's servers. In other words, the quick solutions are not gonna work (the dice gods are mocking you).
A little deeper investigation reveals some really seriously nasty data safeguards in place; simply removing the data storage devices and attempting to access them from a functional computer will also not work... at least, not without some serious supercomputing power to override said safeguards. There is a darned good chance that doing so could trigger destruction of the data itself.
This is not surprising; if the data is that sensitive, you can't have some chucklehead popping out the equivalient of your hard drive and sticking it in his pocket so that he can steal data at his leisure... but the lack of surprise does not make your life easier.
So, in summation, this could be hours, or it could be a LOT of hours before the data is avaible.
One final note - the cameras here use data disks, not casettes. Think DVDs with better storage capability. Note that these may also be encrypted.
Please detail how you folks wish to proceed.

Dumb it down for me...
... as I am not technical in real life (desite working for third largest software company in the world)....
Are you saying that Charlie and/or the ESOD can break the secutity (but will need a lot of time) or that it can't be done?
That will determine my next post.

no worries
It CAN be done - theoretically, anyway (the dice gods could be REALLY, REALLY unkind, I suppose). However, none of the usual tricks are gonna work, nor will the shortcuts. Unless she gets phenominally lucky, Charlie can expect to dedicate from several to many hours getting into the data.

I devote all of my luck points and all of my creative currency to Charlie's sudden stroke of genius and quick turn around.

I was going to post today, but ended up gaming with my two eldest chilluns this afternoon...all afternoon. So, it looks as though I'll have to post this upcoming week instead. Sorry folks.

no worries
No worries, Brom. When you folks decide how you wish to proceed, please post your plans.
Specifically, I need to know if Charlie plans to try to hack in now, or wait until later. If now, will she stay alone? Keep a buddy? Keep the whole team here?
If you continue to explore, let me know who is going, and where you are going.
