I will continue with the group as soon as you post what you are going to do. I won't wait for other groups.

As far as the cart and donkey there is nothing on the cart. It was given to you for use in travel, so you could put your packs and equipment on it for long days travelling.

Thank You Trip for the Clarity

Thanks for the clarifications Trip!

I should have a post at An Evil in Orlane by the time you get home from work later!

Now we know why the Halfling and the Gnome are not hiding on the cart like previously written! It's Empty!

Go ahead and knock

Gunther - just post that your going to the door and knocking - the rest of us can be by the cart - essentially still where we would have come in. We really can't do anything else until we do and it is what we came here to do, so no sense waiting around to post.

I think we can safely assume that everyone will be "keeping an eye out for anything mysterious" since we have all been doing that all along. I don't see anything to wait for.

As for questions when we get there - we want to find out exactly which houses have had disappearances - and get permission, if possible, to investigate them.

Also, if everyone else is doing so poorly, why is this guy doing so well? I don't think I'd ask that, but I would keep an eye open for something. He/she isn't suffering when the rest of the town is?

Just a note for future reference - the lake could well be a point of entry for anything coming in from the swamps.

Sentinel The Small

Gunther can knock if he wants, but Sentinel is going in with him if he goes in. Sentinel has no intention to wait by the cart. Hammer, please do not direct what we are going to do. Neither Fandil nor I like it when you say they will stay in the cart. You do not know if we will or not. (But we will let you know.) Someone is going in with you. Since all three of us know that you did not tell the whole group all the info you were given by the farmer, we KNOW we will want to hear this for ourselves.

Plus, there is value to several people hearing the same words and observing the actions.

Group #1 Gunther will post in a couple hours or so

Hey Guys!

It will take me a couple hours to get my post at An Evil in Orlane. Will be working on a newspaper article about Opening Day in baseball while listening to a game over the internet while I type my Orlane post and take notes!

Am usually at the local hockey league tonight, but with Opening Day today I am at my computer to listen to the Detroit Tigers on Opening Day in Michigan!

I will only be posting what Gunther says or does, so it is up to Oriel, Sentinel and Fandil to write a post also so Trip knows what to script for our group!

Thanks for the pointers/reminders guys!

Group 1

As a group leader, I think the leader has to give some very broad comments about the overall plan of the group. They should not give details about individual players, but I think a few broad comments are needed - or the concept of spokesperson has no meaning. Each individual can always trump what the spokeperson (better word than leader) says with an individual posting.

In this case, I would think Gunther would approach the door a little seperate form the others to knock so that, if answered, we are not all crowding around looking threatening. But if invited in we should all go in. Oriel would most certainly go in. The rest of us might be 5 feet back - or if I remember the description correctly, just off of the porch - or on the steps.

Group #1 Knocking at the door is now posted

Okay Guys!

After writing the back story while the group was walking along the East Road, Gunther has now knocked at the door of Mayor Ormond's house!

It is up to the 3 of you to post something at An Evil in Orlane to give Trip some info to include in his follow up post message!

Group 3 - Agreed

We courteously say hello to the lady on the porch and at least inquire about rooms for everyone at the inn for the night; at the very least our group. Yes, introductions are in order with the newest member of the party too.

I'd almost think we go over some of the same questions that Gunther asked the old man (from the perspective of what we were told from the meeting) and think of some different things to ask. I'll be brainstorming throughout the day to come up with some doozies.

As it comes for Haiden she'll just stand back and look happy but be leery of her surroundings. Any of you 'bigger' guys can do the talking.

Sentinel The Small

Talking to his friend Fandil, Sentinel believes that we (Gunther) needs to tell the Mayor that we are looking for land, and are armed because of the many rumors about missing people in this area. We were forewarned by the farmer (and others) about missing people. We coulkd ask about lands available due to people missing and lead right in to all the questions about the aura of this town. meanwhile all should be leary and ready for any surprise.

We also may jingle some money at the Mayor.

Group 3 - fine with me

Sounds good although I am sure we arent supposed to know in game that we are getting another party member so lets not talk about. Anyone feel free to do a write up with some questions and what not. If nothing is posted when I get back I will write something up.

Group 3

Maybe we should inquire about room prices and the specialties of the Inn? Why would weary travelers want to stay there over the other Inn? Maybe ask about any strange events in the past week or so?

By the way Stings wouldn't really talk to this person unless he was by himself and needed a room.

I am back

Will be catching up on the story for the Orlane thread shortly. Should not take me long to get back into the swing of things, but give me a day or two to get back up to speed with what is happening.

Thanks to everyone for the congrats and well-wishes. Mom and baby both are doing fine now. It was just a little scary for a bit there.
