Ok Then....
How about: "No good deed ever goes unpunished!"
I can see Asher turning a bit darker in spirit as even more of his notions of "Justice" are kicked around. Wolf may have started to fill the "big brother"void left by Sam's leaving and now needs to help him, somehow. He got beat up protecting Ma and now Wolf needs him.
I'm not quite sure yet how he'll react to the Marshall, but he may start to understand that the Col. isn't terrible.

Oh Yeah.........
It was a great read. Very fitting to the story.
Now we need hire Perry Mason, Atticus Finch or Preston & Preston.
If they aren't available we need to get Horace Rumpole. I think Asher can find him.

Thank you
I know it was a dark ending but I could not picture the alliance showing up to congratulate you, hand you a bag of money and balloons.
But there is light at the end and I have more to post so feel free to act, react and interact and then things will get better. I promise.

"Chateau Thames Embankment",
A Rumpole in action would be a great story line. It could be the "Fleet Street" Law Firm.
It could be John Mortimer Rumpole.

ick
I am not playing out a courtroom drama in Rocinante. Not my cup of tea.
The way I look at it, the Alliance is a totalitarian regime bent on controlling the masses to toil for the sake of the privileged. What you have going on in the game is a power war between the Federal Marshalls and the Military. Technically they work together but have completely different points of view. Marshalls have laws and rules and have to enforce them. The military works on passify by any means necessary. The Marshalls want to charge Black Bart, and put him away for the rest of his life. The Military want his contacts, his resources and would probably hire him as a private contractor.
So, either way, don't go on modern ideals of justice and human rights. How many rights you have is determined by your ID card status (remember Bushwhacked). If there wasn't a high media interest and a large group of concerned high ranking passengers looking over the military's shoulder, Wolf wouldn't even have an advocate right now.

epic post
And dark, yeah - very dark. I have a piece of a post in mind....question - would Willow have been interrogated after it was determined that she actually was, indeed, crew?

excellent question
Sorry. I sometimes have so many ideas going on in my head that some get lost in the shuffle.
Willow, Sifu and Jessie were taken away as passengers and given medical treatment. Lord Hood was initially treated as a passenger but all the passengers immediately spoke out about his involvement and he has been arrested.
Sifu and his cargo will be transferred to another transport ship and taken to the orphanage. He actively advocated for the release of the crew and worked on getting the passengers to step forward and demand rewards for the crew.
Willow was seen to by an alliance doctor (play that as you will) and then left alone for awhile. The Alliance was confused by the fact that you were not on the passenger manifest but because of your family, assumed you were not part of the crew. Finally they had an officer come and interview you - not interrogate. It was shortly after that you would have been lead to the room where everyone is now.
Jessie vanished shortly after she was checked out by a doctor.

WowwieWowWOW!
Fantastic episode, folks!
Gorram inspiring, even!
It's my understanding that Wyatt'll be getting a message from an old friend, here, pretty soon and, well, let's just say that between this past chapter and Roger poking my noodle by asking me to pen said missive, I've started throwing myself at "what happened to Dash after he disappeared in the night?"... Hoping to have a first installment of "The Continuing Adventures of Sam Dash" tacked up somewhere on these loverly boards of ours sometime this weekend.
Keep flyin', folks... See ya in the world.

Sam? John? Tess? Sifu? Wolf? Jessie?
So many names of people coming and going!? I need to start a new tattoo on my arm listing the names of everyone in the 'Verse I'm trying to keep track of.
Welcome back Eol! If indeed that's your real name. Looking forward to it. We've missed you.
This has been great fun everyone! Looking forward to the next installment.
