Nope... sorry if it sounded that way...
T, I wasn't necessarily aiming my comments at anyone in particular and at all of us in general (including myself)... Olan and I were discussing some of the moments in the game and between that and some of the chatter on the QA, I just picked up on a few things that made me start thinking... which turned to "thinking out loud" a la that post... and just trying to get it out there so you guys could all see "where my head is at" both IC and OOC, I guess... and to keep our group as a whole kind of "in frame" (not sure that's the term I'm looking for) so we didn't make the GM go "Huh?" too awful much...
Anyway, I totally understand the characters we've all got working (well, as much as I can know, anyway) and how their actions and lives pre-zombieville would influence and affect what happens, now, and I'm not challenging anyone on anything that's happened so far... Just saying that the sequencing and such might have baffled us into those so called "surreal" moments...
Like I said, wasn't my intention to point fingers, bash anybody's playing, actions, characters, or anything like that... Just kind of clearing my own brain, more than anything, and sharing thoughts I figured might be useful or whatever... Sorry if it seemed otherwise.
Now: on to other stuff...
Great collab Meri and UncleDog... Ali, I'll collab with you whenever you like. I'l collab with anyone, for that matter... Just holler at me, you know?

Non-essentials?
T_catt11, are there any nonessentials behind the main counter like cigs, tobacco, lighters, lighter fluid and the like?
Just thinking of the smoking characters in the group. and the possibility of more pyrotechnics.

collab
I can collab again if need be. Due to work and such it's been hard posting as I'm sure someone may have noticed so a collab saves me the trouble of rushing a bad post into the game.
Eol- if that is ur Q&A post then im scared to see your next RP post DX jk... still gotta read through it tho...

Tiamat
Thank you for the thought. MY character is out of ciggs at the moment and is having nicotine withdrawals... Time for him to finally be able to buy the expensive stuff...
T_catt just wondering if there is alcohol still present. As we know Alaster is a drunkard. And in some RP games if the char is a drunkard then he is a lot more tmepted to get drunk when anytime arises. Ill let you decide that though. (plus we need more Molotov's') And finally as far as sharp objects go I know when I got to like Walgreens they tend o have a couple of kitchen utencils. Just wondering whats around to take.
To the group we all might want to get a backpack (if they have them) to carry stuff in. and Amber can fill her with her lil candies. We may also want to take into effect it is getting dark and we may want to pick up flash lights or a better idea take some of those amazingly expensive shirts and tie them around a broom pole and make a makeshift torch... Just food for thought.
Oh and Alasters immediate reaction is looking for ciggs and such soon whilst staying away from the alcohol isle. And he is also going to look for little nummiez to fill up on. (let me know what all they have food and drink wise before i post up so i dont state something they may not have in there hoping for energy drinks and energy supplements)

backpacks
Ill make sure to write that in in my next post which is in the works but is being slow due to work school and homework. Hopefully there isnt a zombie lurking in the shadows behind that Pharmacy counter meri or your character wont get the chance to trip like crazy.

Personally...
I'm more worried about what is buried in the TP!
Oh... and to help out a bit. Olan actually said in his post describing the store that there were backpacks. So we are good on that front.
I'm going to assume that this is like the Walgreens by my house and will work up a shopping list for Amber to run by the DM
Not that it will probably matter much, she'll probably die soon, but hey I'm stickler for details.
((You know speaking of details for Olan's games... I did make it through all of the ST:NG episodes in prep for the Trek game finally ))

careful
This is a tiny little independent neighborhood pharmacy - check with me before you assume something is there. They have drugs, they have a few healthcare essentials, they have a small assortment of retail stuff - but not much beyond what I described in the post.
There are walgreens around, but you guys need to go to one if you want their level of selection.

Well I'll run my shopping list past you via PM. Anything not found here she'll look for over at Treasure Island when/if they get there

Me too...
... Murph's got a short list for Save Rite, himself... he's more interested in what's available at the hardware store... and what kind of decent grub might be had from the Treasure Island (but still not sure he's willing to risk running everyone through that place... it kinda creeps him out)...
Anyhoo... Murph post and a collab with Emily is in the works... should have some postable stuff before too long.

take a note...
Okay, guys - in 2012, Chicago followed Boston and other cities in banning cigarette sales from drug stores. They have regular, small lighters here, but no zippo, no fluid, and no cigs/tobacco of any kind.
Also... even if, for some reason, you decide that you can't be bothered to read everyone else's posts (I have no idea why on earth you'd play if you don't want to read posts by others), you need to be sure to READ THE POSTS BY THE GM. I very clearly answered the backpack question in my post.
I understand that people make mistakes, that you can miss things, and this is fine - but I hope that you realize that ignoring details from the GM in a horror game is ignoring potentially life saving information at YOUR OWN PERIL.
I've seen several posts now from players complaining that they can't be bothered to keep up with what is going on. I gotta say, this cheeses me off pretty seriously. It's pretty much the unwritten contract that yes, you post at least the minimum number of times, but that you also agree to keep up with the game. Twlling me that you can't be bothered is akin to telling me "I fell like becoming zombie chow."
Just so you know.
Might be wiser to post that you are a bit behind, but that you'll catch up before your next post. And also very wise to READ THE GM'S POSTS.
Just sayin'.
Also, an aside: Erideth, don't mention Trek, please. I've been feeling the tich lately, and Trek never works out for me!
