Thoughts

Well, we have another post.

Dax is extremely unhappy about executing the two ferals. Not surprised, but not happy. That isn't why they were saved. But I don't know that he would intervene either. What would you do with them? Keep them alive and was precious water on them? I don't know, I just know he wouldn't like it. It is hard to say they don't deserve it. What about the rest of you? Any ideas?

Do we have any sense at all of what we are supposed to do next? I'm feeling kind of lost. I'd be tempted to say that we are supposed to rescue the ferals and then use them as guides to take us to the magical place of healthy rains in the north, whatever it was called, except they don't know anything more about it than the name. So they seem to be worthless as guides. Maybe we try to talk to them before they are executed.

Is there anything else to do besides just sit around and wait to hear what the town leaders plan to do? It sounded like there was a possibility of moving the entire town. We could help with that, but it doesn't really seem like the most adventuresome plan. Just wait and see what happens? I wonder when the execution would take place.

I guess I talked myself into maybe trying to talk to the ferals again, although I don't see much coming from it, and then seeing what will happen - in terms of the execution and the moving of the town. Maybe the DM will give us a hint. Ideas? Anyone?

Well first, I'm not pushing you all in any particular direction. There's the stuff to the north that was mentioned, there's a return trip home, and there's a hook I set during your explorations. Beyond that, I'm also open to suggestions and ideas. For instance, if you wanted to hunt down and kill or interrogate one of the Feral, that would be on the menu. So would trying to unite the local Feral with the city of Pike.

Do you feel as if I should implement a few more hooks? I can definitely add some on my next post.

Plans

I don't think you need to push us one way or another, but it is helpful to know a bit. Sometimes GMs have a plot in mind. For this one, it isn't clear if we are going down a specific path to try and save the world or just wandering. Either route is fine, but if you are vague we might not end up picking the path you want and we might have a fee extra weeks of standing around going, 'what do we do now?'

I'm a little stuck myself. Not sure what to do. We're not officially a group, as such, so not a lot of conferring to be done, in character. Jacob wanders a lot on his own, so I'm not sure what to do with him without a clear goal?

Thanks for the nudge. I was traveling for a bit so got distracted.
Maybe we can see what happens with the ferals and then make a decision from there. Both Daxos and Xana are waiting on that to see what to do.

A thought occurs

My character's been all over our little area. How well known would you say he is? Not famous, obviously, but would any have heard of him?

I ask only to determine the start of my next post. I could try my hand at rabble-rousing, give a big speech and such. But if nobody's heard of him, Jacob wouldn't bother. On the other hand, if a few of the important people know him and (hopefully) respect him a bit, then he'll ask the leaders for a bit of their time, figuring on the shine of bringing water back to get the request granted.

Thoughts, Schnozzle?
