More Jail Time Convo | The Investigation Gains Some Help
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday 42138.7)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5 - Brig - 15:23
Dana noticed Lauren's relaxing posture as her feet slid down and back beneath the bench. That's a start. she thought. She gave Lauren a faint grin at the term ‘Grin and bear it' and shrugged her shoulders before saying, "There's an old saying ‘That which does not kill you, makes you stronger'. I'm not sure where that comes from, probably some Vulcan Proverb or another." Her growing grin made it hard to tell if she was kidding or not.
"I appreciate you coming, Dana, no matter the pretense." Almost eagerly taking the opportunity to change the subject, the small scientist continues. "What's been going on with the Peregrine while I've been swimming in my own muck?"
"Well now," Dana thought for a moment before speaking, "I don't know if you heard, but there was another incident in your department. Petty Officer Rogers was exposed to some nasty chemicals in the Chem lab and he received some very nasty chemical burns. But he is doing better now, and we should have him back in shape in a couple of days. Lt. Sh'iraolnas is investigating the incident to determine how it could have happened."
"What?" Lauren's eyes widen in surprise and she looks sharply towards her friend. "He's usually so careful. Have you heard anything from—from the Lieutenant—on the matter? What was he working on when it happened?"
(OOC: Back to you.)

Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 4 - CSO's Office to Chemical Lab - 17:21
Sighing a hefty enough sigh that a couple of seconds pass before its completion, Ensign Maize leans back in the chair, executing a long foray into the parcel records for the chemlab. Stretching her facial muscles by raising her thin eyebrows and rolling her jaw, the blonde woman can't help but feel more than a little discouraged.
Each and every one of the logs account for the chemicals contained within a normal laboratory aboard a Starfleet vessel. Apart from the personal logs she had drudged up where Rogers had admitted to tinkering around with the Bolian package, the science officer had ran into dead end after dead end. One would think that solving a mystery would be similar to an act of scientific discovery, she rolls her head about to relieve some of the stress in her neck. Thoughts such as this one have haunted the fringes of her mind ever since she had returned to Lab 1 to continue her investigation. Whatever remarks Craig Rogers has to make about his findings have been recorded elsewhere, if at all. Maybe in his quarters, maybe in a private PADD, or maybe in a more archaic manner; on paper or in a book. Of course, in order to violate a crewmember's privacy and enter his quarters without his permission, she would need Lt. Sh'iraolnas' permission and that might lead to more questions that don't yet have answers.
Slipping from the cushioned seat upon which she perches, Dalia places her hands on her hips and arches her back resulting in the satisfaction of a number of small popping noises and a rush of warmth through her shoulders and back muscles. Days like this one haven't been commonplace aboard the Peregrine and the officer decided that she would never complain again about the boredom she sometimes felt during the ship's patrols.
"Computer," she states as she strides casually across the large laboratory, her purple eyes flitting momentarily to the door of her new superior officer's office. "Turn off all displays and lock files Chem-dash-Two-Three-Nine for my grade and above only."
=/\=Confirmed. Files within directory Chem-dash-Two-Three-Nine have been locked and all displays have been turned off.=/\=
At least something is going right, the thought drips with enough sarcasm to fill the cargo bay of a Ferengi freighter.
Gliding into the hall outside the science lab, Ensign Maize comes to an abrupt stop. Mimicking her sudden ceasing of forward progression a mere three feet in front of the blue and black clad woman is an athletically-built, gold and black clad individual of Asian descent. Standing a few inches taller than Dalia, he wears his black hair very short on the sides and only a little longer on top. He's not particularly dashing in appearance, but neither is he homely. Searching through her memory, Ensign Maize cannot recall this particular petty officer's name.
"Excuse me," she says with a tired smile, moving to her right in order to avoid having to push through him.
"Ensign Maize?" the man asks with a quizzical expression on his face.
Stopping short, she regards him with a slightly furrowed brow, "Yes."
"I'm Petty Officer Second Class, Da Zhang," he offers. "Lieutenant Berk asked me to attach myself to the investigation taking place in your department."
"Which investigation?" Dalia can't help but narrow her eyes a bit.
Da raises his eyebrows in mild surprise. "Why, the chemlab incident. Are there others?"
"Nope," the blonde woman feels relief pass through her like an energy pulse. "Just that one. I was just making sure I hadn't overlooked something.
"A bit late in the schedule to begin involvement, don't you think?"
PO Zhang shrugs, "I'm to make myself available when needed, sir."
"Well, it is not needed now," Dalia smiles softly to lessen the impact of her words. "You can make yourself available to the investigation again at the beginning of the next Alpha shift."
"Understood," Da dips his head in accompaniment to his acknowledgement and steps to the side affording the ensign more room by which to pass.
With a nod of her own, Dalia Maize continues past, pausing a few feet further down the hall. Turning back to the security PO, she calls out to him, "Petty Officer Zhang?"
He spins expertly on his heel, having been progressing further down the hall himself, and tilts his head to the right in question, "Yes, sir?"
"There is something you could do."
"What's that?"
"Personal belongings are registered on assignment, correct?" He nods and she continues. "Would you please review all of PO Roger's personal effects and see if there are any private PADDS, journals, or other means by which he would be recording events outside of regulation systems?"
"Certainly, sir."
"Thank you."

Working out something...
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5, Gym - 1800
Haemis stared at the punching bag, its surface was marred by the passage of time and use. It was clearly well used, his tapped up hands clenched tightly into fists he continued giving the bag the good old 'left-right' combo. He could hear his fathers voice echoing in his head with each punch, mostly white noise, but that word 'failure' always managed to sneak through. He punished the bag, now putting some footwork into it bashing the thing causing it to swing. Realizing this he began to move his feet and dance around the bag landing punches as it became opportune, then dodging another way hammering away at the thing. An elbow, snap kick, round house, he was giving it all to the bag. His breathing was well trained, he had trained hard with his siblings and his father for the longest time, but despite all that his first love came to building and fixing things. His father would never come close to understanding what that meant to him. Which is why his letter hurt him more deeply so.
Stepping away from the swinging back he took his towel from the bench and wiped away the perspiration from his face, then tossed it aside all the same. He picked up a large weighted chunk of metal, much like a sword with a hilt, but a round barrel instead of a blade. It was weighted for training as if it were a sword but more for the weight. He began dancing around the mat with, running through exercises he had done so many times before. That voice still pestering him inside. He swung the chunk of metal and it rebounded bouncing off the punching bag stopping him. Breaking his concentration, or lack there of. He stood staring at the bag, for a good long time the chunk of metal held much as if he was squaring off with an opponent, close to his body, upright ready for what was to come.
"I think you killed it!" he heard a voice call from across the room.
"Not entirely." he said taking a step back and a deep breath. His cheeks were a bit more rosy than they were previously. "But tha will teach it!" he said pointing his practice weapon at the bag. "Shouldn't sneak up on unsuspecting individuals swing'n large weapon's." he said shaking the sword at it. He moved back towards the middle of the mat hazarding a glance at who it is that was addressing him.

"I'm not quite sure," Dana shrugged, "the investigation isn't complete yet. All I know is that he was severely exposed to a combination of Tetrahydrofuran, Sodium Azide and 2-mercaptoethanol. Enough to cause severe tissue damage down to the skeletal structure."
Dana looked at Lauren with a blank expression as is waiting for her reaction. Lauren should know that those chemicals, while slightly dangerous, shouldn't cause that severe a reaction upon exposure to the skin. Something strange was going on here, Dana didn't know what it was, and she didn't think that her friend did either, but she wanted to see her response to the information. Maybe she would have some insight on what might have caused the incident and the strange severe reaction.

Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)

"Personal belongings are registered on assignment, correct?" He nods and she continues. "Would you please review all of PO Roger's personal effects and see if there are any private PADDS, journals, or other means by which he would be recording events outside of regulation systems?"
Petty Officer 2nd Class Da Zheng recalls the request Ensign Maize had made minutes earlier with some curiosity. It isn't often that a request is made to dig into a crewman's personal effects. Such a consideration for privacy is one of the only things that truly maintains some semblance of singularity amidst all of the necessary teamsmanship. Whatever happened in the chemlab has given the Ensign reason enough to make the request, so I'll make certain she receives the information she's after.
"Computer," Da leans forward and rest his left elbow on the unmarred surface of the desk. "Show me the log entry for PO Roger's transfer aboard the Peregrine."
The screen immediately flares to life, replacing the Starfleet insignia with the file the tactical specialist had requested. Scanning the items that Craig Rogers had registered, Da Zhang eventually finds a PADD and a series of books.
"Select line items fifty-two through seventy and add them to a new report titled, Personal Effects for PO Rogers. Send the report to Ensign Maize."
=/\= The new report has been created and the line items have been added. The new report has been sent to Ensign Maize. =/\=
Settling back in his chair, Da finds himself yawning. The day has been long and he's ready to retire. Curiosity piqued, he is certainly interested in the knowledge Ensign Maize has gained concerning the investigation thus far, but he is a patient man and a good night's rest always refreshes the mind. Quickly filing a report Lieutenant Berk would be able to use to follow the investigation, PO Zhang finishes his night.

"You said that Lt. Sh'iraolnas is heading up the investigation?" Raising her brown eyes she meets those of her friend. "Were there any signs of caustic reaction with the surfaces in the lab? Any other indication of another substance? Are their other departments involved in this investigation? Has anyone been able to speak with Rogers yet?"

Bringing it to a close, for now.

"I don't know," Dana said with a shrug, "I haven't gotten a report on the findings yet. I have been busy tending to Petty Officer Rogers to go down to the lab. Frankly, that part is a little out of my area. But I'm sure this Lt. Sh'iraolnas, will get to the bottom of it."
Chief Cook noticed movement and looked up and saw the Security crewman step up and look into the room to check on them. She guessed that she might just be out of time for performing a check-up.
"I've had to keep Petty Officer Rogers unconscious while I tended to his injuries," Dana said turning back to her friend, "he would have been in incredible pain otherwise. But his treatments, so far, have been going well. I expect to be able to wake him by tomorrow morning and hopefully he can shed some light on the incident. I will let you know what I hear, from the report and from Rogers."
"I feel my time here is at an end," She said as she stood and picked up her medical kit, slinging it over her shoulder, "I'm just supposed to evaluate your condition and make sure the confinement and B&W restriction will not cause any undue physical problems." Her eyes glanced to the security crewman who waited outside the security field.
"I think you will be fine," Dana said loud enough for all to hear her, "Per regulations, I will be back tomorrow evening to evaluate you again. At least until the B&W restriction is complete."
Dana turned towards the door, where Security PO Rotet reached out and activated the controls to lower the force field. .
"Lauren," Cook said as she paused at the doorway and looked back to her friend, "Take care of yourself. I'll check on you tomorrow evening."
After Lauren responded, Chief Cook turned and left the brig. PO Rotet reactivated the security field and followed Cook back to the Security Office.
"I'll be back tomorrow, about this time, to check on her condition again," Chief Cook told her before she headed back towards the Sickbay.
(OOC: Respond wherever you wish, I will respond if necessary. Kind of ending it here, as Dana doesn't have any further information to relate just yet. Another round will occur, once the next day gets here. If it ever does. )

They Call Me "Little John"..........
Stardate 2365.02.09
USS Peregrine; Lt. Reid's Quarters - 1700
The cabin light draw up from night time dark to morning glow as the wake setting transformed Lt. Reid's quarters. Since before the Peregrine had docked at star base 118 John had been awake. The events that unfolded had kept him up forty eight hours, longer than he had planned. Coming off Gamma bridge duty he had caught a brief snack with Nurse Miraan, but fatigue forced him to cut their time short. Now after a glorious sleep he was ready to start again.
Catching a quick shower John fetched a coffee and sticky bun from the replicator and sat at his com station to catch up on events. After a few minutes he let out low whistle. John knew that the Captain's Mast was required and the sentence was just, but it stuck in his craw that P.O. Crane was in the brigg and Ensign Agris was assigned to the Coronado.
Deciding he needed to loosen up and perhaps vent a little anger he grabbed his workout bag and headed to the gym.

In a warm brogue, "Not entirely." he said taking a step back and a deep breath. His cheeks were a bit rosy. "But tha will teach it!" he said pointing his practice weapon at the bag. "Shouldn't sneak up on unsuspecting individuals swing'n large weapon's." he said shaking the sword at it. Setting his bag down John advanced to the mat extending his hand. "I'm John,ya care to try to hitting something that hits back?........ I need to work off a bit a steam,,,care to indulge a bit in the "Manly Art" of quarter staffs?
(Allowing Haemis to respond.)
"We have a nice selection of equipment in the storage next to the boxing gear. " Walking the case John open the door revealing several eight foot staffs and required head and body gear. "Star Fleet requires curtain precautions, but it's pretty much the same as it was back in 1880's England. Head gear and padding."
Showing the man a variety of staffs, "As it is my challenge, I'll let you have first choice of weapon." Stand in brilliant array were gleaming hardwood and bamboo staffs from various planets.

Haemis glanced at the chunk of metal in his hands and then back at John nodding. "Sounds like fun!" he said and nodded, he took but a moment to set the weighted sword down in a safe place.
"We have a nice selection of equipment in the storage next to the boxing gear. " Walking the case John open the door revealing several eight foot staffs and required head and body gear. He approached the box and took a glance at the interior he actually wasn't sure if they were replicated material or not but they certainly looked original, he could even smell the stain that was used coming out of the box, it was subtle but there. It brought a smile to his lips, he nodded and plucked one of the staff from the box and felt its weight. "Not exactly my area of expertise, but I think I can manage to put up a decent fight." he said, and began putting on the safety gear. "Where did you learn this art?" he asked moving toward the other side of the mat, taking a few swings with the staff. He turned and set himself, allowing the staff to hang across his body in one hand while he did the strap to the head guard.
(a place for you to respond)
Haemis took the staff in both hands, and gave him a salute and held the staff at the ready. He was not prepared for the agility of John, his first strike coming swiftly, it was all Haemis could do to get his stick up to stop his opponent from smashing him across the head or shoulder.
Shifting his feet he nearly took another blow that came from the side, then found himself on his back looking up at John. He had been swept from his feet in a fluid motion on what Haemis could only have guessed was a pivot and back swing low at his feet.
Slowly he got to his feet, and took a deep breath and set himself again. This was a lot more swift than a sword that was certain. But his eyes were starting to play catch up, blocking a bit more easy but still not exact. He circled the man and smiled. "Your very good!" he said.

"When I was eighteen I attended a Scouting World Jamboree in Gilwell England,. I meet some local Scouts that told me about their "Master At Arms" merit badge,. One of the skills was to learn to use the Quarter Staff. ,..They gave me a copy of a vintage pamphlet that showed the six offensive strikes and the six defense parries,, They are all swing moves but they can be made into thrust moves. So for the next couple of weeks they showed me the left leg strike, right leg strike, left flank, right flank, left cheek and right cheek and how they used to tool,I took my share of bruises but it was so fluid and so fun. ,..With that I'll only use swing moves."

John could tell that the man before him was taking it all in. Forgetting a basic of his training John tried faint left and his opponent took the advantage and place resounding smack to his right thigh. John's leg buckled slightly. ,. Spinning to avoid the next blow he had to throw up a parry as he man had reversed his staff to a two handed down ward strike,.. Rolling his staff john drove the attacking staff tip to floor. Putting up his guard John stepped back quickly. "Well you're learning quickly."

Sticking the landing..
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5, Gym - 1805
Haemis offered the man a curt smile as he took a step back away from his opponent. He adjusted the staff in his hands and nodded. "I've a good teacher." he said. He lashed out quickly spinning the staff bringing it across for another shoulder strike which the man deftly blocked sending him wide, he felt the stink of the staff across his flank and spun bringing the staff vertical to stop the next. He continued rolling to his right and swung the staff end down from left to right, then brought the bottom end up the same path, both knocked aside.
Haemis found himself suddenly on the defensive, blocking a flurry of blows from his opponent. He saw and opening and did manage to get a glancing blow off the mans thigh but paid for it as he took a hit to the shoulder, then his own thigh for it. He spun away from the attack and ducked another shoulder strike and spun the bow to deflect another. He was back on his heels again and he knew it. He backpedaled around the mat desperately blocking. He took a very sudden leap back allowing the bow to slide to its end from momentum and the snapping blow caught his partner by surprise as it bounced off his shoulder. Though he fell to his butt as he lost his footing upon landing from the reverse leap, his bow clattering to the ground. He sat there and laughed for a long moment.

Ooooof........
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5, Gym - 1805
John steadied himself from the well placed counter from of his red haired opponent. The man gave him a sly smile as he answered, "I've a good teacher", then lashed out with a quick spin and a shoulder strike.
John responded with a swinging defense that deflected the income staff. Using the momentum he twisted the defense to an attack landing a stinging thump to the thigh. The sting must have inspired the man as they now engaged in a vigorous sparring match. The two glided in a agilely series of attacks and faints. John winced as a blow glanced off his own thigh.
With another burst of energy he pressed the attack. Sweat now coating his arms and forehead he drove forward.
Breathing controlled and pulse running rapid John force the man to backpedal. Driving in he stepped into a shoulder blow as the bearded Scot let his staff extend out with a two handed reach.
But the attempt to try move backward and forward at the same time threw him off his center of balance. Falling to the mat, butt first, his advisory sat on the ground breaking into a deep rolling laugh.
John walked over to the man and sat beside him. "That was fun, I thank you for the work out,. I guess I should introduce myself",. Extending his hand in a traditional hand shake, "I'm Lt. John Reed, Assistant Chief Tactical Officer,,yeah,I'm with security."

Haemis laughed again, reaching across he slipped his hand around the mans wrist and shook it in a good proper warriors shake. "Haemis McTavish, chief engineer." he released the mans grip and laid back on the mat. "Pleased to meet you Lieutenant Reed. Yer pretty good with a stick laddie. Be interesting to see what you could do with a sword." he took a moment, then slowly sat back up. "How long have ye been aboard the Peregrine?" he slowly stood up and walked over to pick up the staff and return it to the case they were kept in.

Oversight... or is it?
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 4 - Sickbay - 14:30
Crewman Toriak raises his eyebrows in response to the absence of data he's just come across. Scrolling through the entries on the personnel file once more just to be certain, he again raises his eyebrows as his discovery is confirmed. Keyed in commands keep the work he's doing from interrupting the much needed rest of Sickbay's patient, PO Rogers. The chemist's condition isn't the Vulcan's concern, however, just a reason for not using voice commands to complete his queries. In this regard, Toriak is a reservist—one whom is called in should no other medical personnel be available. No. This hour finds the records specialist seeking to solve the riddle of Chief Dana Cook's missing physical. After all, the strict, by-the-book, myrmidon couldn't have possibly missed her last mandated check-up. That would be illogical.
Drawing up another screen with a couple of button selections, Toriak submits a level three diagnostics on the database. Rolling back on his heels, he watches intently as the system displays multiple lines of data scrolling past at breakneck speeds. Parameters would limit the search to specific entries related to Cook and would denote any corruption or tampering at a high level. Each subsequent diagnostics would reveal deeper investigation should something come up, but the level three should be sufficient to determine if the entry had just been misplaced—logged under another person's file—or if it had been deleted. Tampering with records is a severe code violation and would require Crewman Toriak to report the situation directly to Dr. Moore. The Vulcan medical crewman found the head nurse to be very capable in her duties and decided that should such a situation arise the chances of Dana Cook being culpable are slim to none. Four point three five seven percent, to be exact. As such, he doesn't believe that reporting an occurrence of tampering would directly affect her.
Level 3 Diagnostics complete. Results: Database integrity secure. No Data tampering or loss detected.
For the third time in the short period since he discovered the error, Crewman Toriak raised his eyebrows. Looking up from the screen, he scans the semi-circular room but Dana is no where to be seen. Such a small thing for the woman to overlook, Toriak tilts his head to the side a bit and pulls up the inner-ship communication system. Keying in a couple of commands he activates the direct line to Cook's communicator.
"Chief Cook," he intones. "Crewman Toriak. It would appear that you have not completed your mandatory medical examination for this latest period. Would you like for me to schedule it?"

A Good Feeling.....

John got up and followed the Scot to the equipment locker. "Well I've been with the crew about nine months now ,but with all that's been going on in the last couple of days it is starting to feel much longer," John said with a sigh. "Its been fairly quiet and I've been learning the Tac and Com chair under some really good folks.... My last CTO and the Captain have been great examples and even better teachers....One thing about a smaller boat is that there are plenty of chances to sharpen your skills or learn new ones."
John toweled off a bit more, "I don't know which shift you're coming off but would you care to share a meal?"

To the Galley!
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday - 42137.6)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5, Gym - 1810
Haemis paused at the offer of a meal, it didn't dawn on him until the mention of food that he might be hungry. His stomach let out an approving gurgle. He looked back up from it to John and gave a nod. "Aye," he smiled. "I think I've been a wee neglectful in that area today. Too much on my mind. I'd be happy to join ye." he said and started for the door. "Nine months is a long time. But yer right with small crews ifnya have the interest there is a lot that can be learned." he stepped out into the corridor and waited for his companion.
As John exited, he fell in line with him strolling down the hall heading towards the galley.
"Where were you stationed before the Peregrine?" he asked. "I had the pleasure of serving aboard the bloody Coronado. That in itself was a long bloody learning experience." he moved aside as someone came down the corridor to allow them to pass as they moved down the hall. "My only regret is leaving behind my ol' chief. He was a damn fine engineer. I can only hope to live up to half of the engineer he is I'd be happy." he smiled. "He was also a good swordsman. Great partner to spar with and fight along side. It's been a long time since I had someone like that. Sure it wont be the last of course." he held up his hands and started moving them around. "He used to anticipate me which is why it worked. There was this one time when we were squaring off against to from the Security team on the Lincoln." his grin broadened. "They were very good! But we were better because of it. It was like a natural thing. We bumped them off to face off with Captain Grumpy pants on the Coronado. I think he was not happy about that fact. He wasn't shy about it that's for sure" he realized very suddenly that he was running at the mouth and stopped himself to give the man a chance to respond. "I'm sorry, sometimes I get started and I canna stop."

Revelation
Stardate 2365.02.09 (Tuesday 42138.7)
USS Peregrine; Deck 5 - 15:27
Chief PO Dana Cook had just left the Brig where she was visiting her friend; supposedly for a medical checkup, but she had also wanted to check on her friend's mental condition as well. Chief , no, Petty Officer Crane had received a tremendous shock with the consequences of her actions, but Dana thought she would get though it alright in the end. Dana paused and leaned against the wall for a moment, she looked up and down the hallway and gave her head a slight shake as if to clear her mind. For a moment she didn't know where she was headed. She could go back to Sickbay, but Miraan had taken over the rest of her shift, since her own shift was starting right afterwards. So Dana wasn't sure where she was going now.
=/\= Chief Cook, Crewman Toriak.=/\=
"Cook here," Dana said as she straightened herself and glanced around to see if anyone had seen her leaning against the wall, but there was no one else in the corridor at the moment.
=/\= It would appear that you have not completed your mandatory medical examination for this latest period. Would you like for me to schedule it?" =/\=
Dana stiffened. Not so soon. Yes, the new doctor had ordered physical updates on everyone, but she had hoped for more time.
"Are you sure Crewman?" she replied.
(OOC: Assuming his assurance of his statement)
"Well, I'm positive that Doctor Synklar performed my physical just 3 months ago," Dana said trying to keep the tremor from her voice, "perhaps she just forgot to log it into the system. Well, no matter, the new CMO has ordered updated physicals on the entire crew, so it will get rectified properly. Don't worry about scheduling me right now, we'll get the rest of the crew done prior to the medical staff."
(OOC: After his response.)
After Dana signed off, she sagged and leaned against the wall again. She had some time to figure out how she was going to avoid discovery. Lt. Synklar had been her friend, and she was the only one who knew of Dana's condition; she wasn't so sure that the new Doctor would be willing to bend the rules and keep it a secret though.
Straightening, Chief Cook headed to her quarters; walking in she secured the door and went into her bedroom. There she opened a drawer next to her bed and withdrew the small medkit; withdrawing a prepared hypospray she looked at it briefly before pressing it to her arm. The hiss of the spray made the Chief sigh slightly, not in relief of any pain, but it was a relief to her mind. The Peridaxon only helped to alleviate the symptoms, as there was no cure for Irumodic Syndrome.
Doctor Synklar had been the one to diagnose Dana when the symptoms, confusion and occasional delusions, had manifested about 6 months ago. Dana was sure that if word got out of her condition, that her career would be over, so she convinced her friend the Doctor to keep the condition out of her medical file. The Doctor had heard of a possible medication, Peridaxon, which might alleviate the symptoms and even slow the progress somewhat. So far, Dana had been able to keep it under control, but the episodes still happened. Eventually she wouldn't be able to hide it, and she feared losing her career more than death, which was the eventual outcome of her condition. She sat on her bed and sighed as she put the hypospray back in the medkit and stored it away again. She feared things were headed down a path that she couldn't control.
