Agreement from the lurker...

Nice combat scene indeed! That was a fun read!

Agreed!

But as Alacrity commented to me when he read everyone's intentions, it had such potential to go hilariously wrong...can you picture Arien hitting the greased stairs and falling up the stairs into the commander and intercepting one of Dapple's daggers along the way?

Or, what if the table had levitated as Dapple was vaulting over it....can you spell "face plant" boys and girls?

Sometimes, it's not the DM or NPC's who get us...we can be our own worst enemies....

LOL... thought about that...

When I finally decided on what Jal was going to do, I got around to the levitating the table bit and can recall, very vividly, thinking; "If this table goes up the same time Dapple tries to vault it, Jal would've been better off flying to the top of the tower". A much less painless death that would've been, methinks.

no doubt!

Anytime someone decides to creatively use grease in combat, I cringe for the sheer dark potential the situation has. Add the floating table, plus charging melee fighters AND missile into said melee?

Could have gone so hilariously wrong, indeed!

whoopsie

Still can.

Roger, can you fill me up with the situation of Kilgim's spells. I'm not exactly sure how many and of which level he's thrown away already.

It had potential

When I read the discription of player's actions, a scene formed in my head of Adrian gresing the stairs as Arien started up them. Knight charges in, knight keeps going. Commander slips and falls and slides in other direction. Table levitates into Dapple's charge.

Then Jal casts tasha laughter....

But initiative and a fumble on the commander's part changed the scene.

Now post people!

I intend to.

I fully intend to post soon, but am currently swamped. So, in case my not posting would hinder the progress of combat, and thus the game; please know that Char isn't going to change his focus from the Green he faces unless something serious occurs...which could mean any number of things, but includes the Green's death, a party member's serious injury necessitating retreat, or the discovery that Darth Vader is Char's father in which case the fact that I've used an impossibly long, and somewhat exhausting, run-on sentence in this thread is entirely moot and should be ignored.

Looky what I found...

...and Addy's been buggin' me for for months!

Here's the beginning of a sketch I started months back (Maximus was still going by Talas, then)... My initial "visual" of the CWWLLO party.
Be warned... it's still 'rough' and nowhere near finished. I'd actually lost track of it for a while and just happened to find it hiding in the sketchbook I grabbed on my way out the door this morning.

edit: oops, wrong link...

nice

Need to move the artwork to the Friends of RDI group.

I love how Arien keeps being referred to as a Paladin. Arien is no Paladin. He's a fighter with a big budget.

fighter with a big budget...LOL

Nice sketch. Little known fact: Char's portrait is the dude in the upper right portion of the RDINN banner.

woah

Pretty close to how I pictured ol Val too. Right at home with the fighters but a bit out of place with the mages.

Ok I have to say

I am like SOO HUGE I never pictured the character that big but I look cool as S**T.
We have got to post that at the beginning of this thread and in the art section for sure. Maybe you can also color it in Eol that would be cool.
Tell you what though once done send me a copy so I can print it and copy it and tape it up on my comp's moniter area.
