Mist

Throndek had really had just about enough when it came to mutating monsters running amok. And to make matters worse, this one had decided to leave a slowly rolling parting gift. The red mist flowed like the ripples upon the water's surface disturbed by a cast stone. Thondrek had debated over simply running through the mist, but on reflecting on the possibility of becomming infected likke the animals of the region, decided to stomp off through the trees in an effort to simply circumvent the mist as itt passed.

(If mist follows Thondrek with apparent sentience, the Khord will flee as best he can, even Dimension Hopping in the opposite direction of the flow and running back to the party in an emergency where he's trapped)

Loda watched as the deformed hog ran into their view and spewed up the vile red blanket that covered the path. She was ready to cast her spell Flaming sphere until the boar lept back into the brush, dissappearing form sight. The mist slowly krept towards them, and not wanting to walk into the malformed and dead looking woods, she prepared her flaming sphere and cast it at the mist, hoping to part it like the sun does to the morning fog.

Geim

BACK AT THE TOWER

Geim uses Cure Disease as soon as he can on Malius. "Here hoping that you don't actually need this laddie, but I just want to be safe, so I am casting it on ye." the old runemaser says as her speaks the arcane words. "I don't want anything naasty to be happening to you."

In the morning after prayers and breakfast. Geim is ready to get back on the road. "I know we've been delayed and all, and for good reason but we mustn't let any more time be awasting. Let's hit the road again.

ON THE ROAD

The huge boar sprang suddenly to the Road crashing through the underbrush. Geim draws back on his horse's reins more by instinct than thought. Almost as quickly as it camp it sprang away again but not without leaving something behind. Another mutated bestie. THe roiling red mist crept outwards from where the creature had blown it out. Geim kept backing his horse up and away from that mist.

The spells he could use this day, unfortunately did not include the one that might have worked. Mostly Geim had chosen healing spells and aguements to weapons and armor.

"Augh! If'n I had taken Dust Devil I could have done something to that vile mist. I hope someone has something that might. Otherwise I plan to just keep backing up until it is gone." Geim laments but continues to back up to keep out of the red mist.

arrivals at towns

Alloryen Kingdom
Duin Shee Dalnya riverbank
6th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
12:43 pm

Midnight was drawing close, and so far Elessar had only gotten three hours of sleep. Now she was sitting on Morya’s back, pursued by silver fairies. She urged the mare to go faster still, but the flying fey came closer every second.
Then, all of a sudden, they stopped, and shrunk into a memory as Elessar heightened the distance between them. Soon, all she could see was a faint glitter, and when the road bent eastwards, she had lost sight of them.

She slowed down, eventually stopped, and beckoned Comrade to let her inspect his wounds. She took out the vial, ready to rub several drops over the ripped skin of her protégé but when she removed her cloak, his skin was whole, as if it had never been ripped. She examined it closely, but could not find any indication that there had ever been a wound at all. Comrade himself peered over his shoulder, at the place where a piece of his skin had been taken by the fairies, and his eyes got big as he too noted that there was nothing wrong.

Since they were up, the journey was continued, and Elessar followed the path north now. Very soon they would get to Hith Elee.

It was deep in the night when she arrived at the town. No lights shone from the windows, and even the moon did not penetrate the high trees that protected the houses and their inhabitants. As she drew closer in slow pace, a male voice called from the darkness in the Sylvari tongue. It could’ve come from any direction, like an echo without the reverberating multiplicity.

“Who goes there at such an hour?”

Alloryen Kingdom
East of the Glittering Maiden River
4th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
0:18 pm

(OOC: just to get this clear: Malius is the only one who has a horse. The rest is by foot.)

The red mist continued to spread out over the forest ground. It grew thinner with every yard that it took, but its growth kept its eagerness. The companions backed away from it, reclaiming the footprints they had made earlier. Arms of the mist touched the trees around the path. The black of the bark seemed to absorb the foul vapour and turned red within seconds. Bushes too got drenched in the fog and turned colour before the companions’ eyes.

Loda seemed determined to get rid of this new enemy that crept its deforming path through the woods she loved so much. From her hands formed a ball of bright fire. Carefully she directed it into the mist, hoping to evaporate it, like the sun chases away the morning fog.
The ball of fire went in, as the group backed up even more. For a moment the mist seemed to turn on itself, as it engulfed the ball eagerly. It started to swirl around the fire, trying to choke it down. A hard battle of matter was fought, but it was buying the companions at least some more time, for the mist had stopped growing.

Then the ball of fire exploded, and the eruption of fire spread all over the mist. A cloud of heat passed over the companions, and they had to hold themselves to not be thrown over by the pressure of the air and the heat of blast. Malius was cast from his horse as it pranced against the impact.
Though it scorched their skins, the blast was brief, and when they looked again, the mist was gone, and the path had been cleared. The trees and bushes around it were turned to coal, still smouldering red and yellow.

They could continue their journey, and a few hours later they arrived at the edges of a Sylvari city. Cautiously they approached. Their last encounter with a big town in the Alloryen kingdom had not been so pleasant, and they had learned from their experience.
The first houses they passed were empty, deserted by their inhabitants. In the distance they could see the fine architecture of towers and temples and other important buildings. But all these were sheltered behind a make shift wall of thorny bushes, planks of wood and other materials that had been taken from houses and carts that had no use now. The road was blocked by a group of six guards that were armoured in breastplates and chain, and carried longswords and shields. One of them stepped forward and held up his hand in salute.

“Welcome heroes. Word has reached us of your deeds at the Exaulted Tower. We are honoured to have you as our guests.”

Istalindir is a beautiful city with marvellous display of Sylvari wealth, arts and crafts. The people are friendly but cautious, as if they expect something bad to happen at any moment.
On one of the squares a burning is held of all things believed to be ‘infected’ by evil spirits. Sylvari citizens are standing around with tears in their eyes to watch their belongings, and sometimes animals, burn.
In other ways this is a big city, where you can find plenty of supplies. Food and drinks are free, since you’ve established a name for yourselves. Especially the younger Sylvari are eager to hear of your deeds

(OOC: ok, here you have the opportunity to do something with your money. Prices are fair, food is free, but the people are still cautious of you. They know you are heroes but do not treat you as glorious as they did in Birch-root. There is a general watchfulness and fear amongst the citizens regarding the woods. Also, it is still early in the day. Spending too much time here might be a waste.)

Istalindir

As the group of travelers moved away from the mist clear to all of them, though the mist did thin, that whatever it truly was it seemed in some way to sense this and continued to move towards them.

Arms of the mist touched the trees around the path. The black of the bark seemed to absorb the foul vapor and turned red within seconds. Bushes too got drenched in the fog and turned color before the companions’ eyes.

It was here that Loda, clearly determined to be rid of it did act.

Malius himself was cast from his horse as it pranced against the impact.

Though the blast had scorched their skins, it was brief, and when they looked again, the mist was gone, and the path had been cleared. Malius looked on the trees in the area of the blast with sadness for they and any creature in them had surely paid a price. With a silent prayer to the tree’s and living things within them he followed the rest away.

Within a few hours the they had made good time and as they came over a small rise before them they saw an Elvin city, which Malius knew to be that of Istalindir.

Relaying its name to the rest of the companions he led them down the rise to the city’s front gate.
The first houses they passed were empty, deserted by their inhabitants yet in the distance they could see the fine architecture of towers and temples and clearly many other important buildings. But all these were sheltered behind a make shift wall of thorny bushes, planks of wood and other materials that had been taken from houses and carts that had no use now. The road was blocked by a group of six guards that were armored in breastplates and chain, and carried longswords and shields. One of them stepped forward and held up his hand in salute

“Welcome heroes. Word has reached us of your deeds at the Exalted Tower. We are honored to have you as our guests.”

“Mae govanninai’ lye lond An lema lle naaia n’vernima ar’ lle atara lanneimina ani urna lle mernia. Uuma ma’ten ‘ rashwa valina qual marth kwara Tessa tira kwentra lle auta yeste.

(After the guards reply, if in Elvin Malice will turn to the rest and relay it to them.)
“Allia I’narr mori Quessier naa be nuquernuva sela, cumin linduva yessen nuin baramin creoso. Amin harmuva onalle e’cormanin lavia.”

(once he gains this information)
With a destination set the party moved forward and soon found themselves at the place the guard had named. A time to rest, eat and resupply was at hand.

(OOC: OK Al after a good meal Malice will seek out the person he asked about, if he/she exists and travel there. Any conversation between the two of them we can handle in PM or email like we did the tower fight. After this encounter he will stop to resupply rations, buy new arrows, and have his horse checked to see if it needs to be rehoofed and such. Basically anything needed that I may have missed.)

Finally they hit somewhere where they can refresh their supplies. What was worrying Loda the most though was her low supply of ale. Now she does not need to worry any more.
But as soon as that thought crossed her mind, she checked her pockets, and found that she was almost empty on the old coin purse.

" I'm going to have to sell a few things now. This sucks."
The thought crossed her mind and she looked at Gothard. He knew what she was feeling, and so together they headed off towards the nearest goods store.

When she got the the doors she looked down at Gothard again.

" You stay out here now, and stay out of sight. Do not let yourself be seen, or they might take you for an infected animal. We've all seen how people get when they're irrational. Be a good boy now."

Loda entered the store, and struck up a conversation with the store clerk, wondering if she could barter off her brewing pot, and her badger necklace for some gold. She could always buy more ale than spend all the time brewing it. It was in the way a lot too. She also offered up one of her cure light wounds potions, hopefully to get a good amount for it.

( Almerin, should we do a PM convo?)

Elessarae

"Three weary travelers, replies Elessarae, I am Elessarae Isiliri of Megilindar Nost. "We have traveled far this day and seek shelter and food."

After her first encounter with Flame Tower she wondered if they would allow her in, appearing as she did out of the night, especially after seeing how they they had barricaded themselves. She might had gotten down to seem less threathening, but she could not trust her legs, afraid they would collapse under her. The last couple of hours before arriving she had caught herself nodding off. At first she got off and walked, but the last time she had to hold onto her saddle to not stagger.

"May we please enter and be directed to where I can find stabling for my horses, I would even sleep in the stable with them."

Elessarae was more exhausted than she had even been in her life. What with all the had been happening in the last 3, or was it 4 days, it had to be well passed midnight, but under the thick canopy of trees she could not see the stars and there were only glimmering of the moons so she could not judge it position.

So to the men posted at the barricade and challenging her, all they saw was a slender young female who seemed to young to be riding around at night in such dangerous times.

Young and yet a seasoned warrior might recognize the look in her eyes that mirrored her experiences, eyes that had aged quickly. These last days had taken there toll on the young Bladesinger, a teenager by Sylvari standards, albeit a dedicated one to have achieved Bladesinger statis at her age. These people might even think she was a student there.

Post as promised.

Thondrek kept his eyes peeled and his arm looped around the haft of his guisarme as he made his way into the Sylvari city. He had heard Malius ask for directions and information, and so too heard Loda remark on her desire for new wares, though her realization of a short purse stole some of her thunder.

Moving over to Loda Thondrek pulled out a handful of gold coins. "If ye need be for personal use, I'll buy one of ye druid potions from me own wealth, seein as the party treasure seems ta be for hoardin fer a rainy day. Would 30gold cover one of yer elixers?

(insert any comments)

-following the exchange- "Thanks lass. Might save me when ye or Geim cannot one day." Thondrek turned to whomever kept the party funds. "Might I suggest the communal purchasing of some remove disease potions and perhaps a party wand of healing?"

(insert any comments)

-following diologue-
Overhearing the response given to Malius, Thondrek took his leave after the Syl for their direction was one and the same.
-turning to Malius-
"It be about time we better equip ourselves for the road ahead. More of these infected critters running amok only speaks danger and wasted resources and lives of the unprepared."

Geim

"I was thinking about purchasing a mount" says Geim as they traveled through the Sylvari city. "However the idea of a wand of healing is an excellent one, as well as a few potions of various strengths."

Geim looks about as he passes through the city. Never had many opportunities to study a Sylvari city before.

"I do be getting looks, but what do you expect when a dwarf marches thorugh Sylvari streets," he says.

"Loda, I remember I owe you a drink, lass and I think my coinage would spread to a first round for everyone so long as nobody chooses anything very fancy."

While Loda sat there and decided on what to do, Thondrek came up behind her and spoke.

"If ye need be for personal use, I'll buy one of ye druid potions from me own wealth, seein as the party treasure seems ta be for hoardin fer a rainy day. Would 30gold cover one of yer elixers?

She smiled, still feeling some of those womanly feeling towards Thondrek, and couldnt resist his offer.

" Sure Thondrek, here, you can have one of my stronger potions, you look like the hardy type who needs the extra
healing over those weaker potions.

"Thanks lass. Might save me when ye or Geim cannot one day."

She smiled and nodded as she thought once more on what to buy with her new found wealth.

"A pony is needed, and I think the rest of the party are going to buy mounts. But I really do need to resupply my ale skins."
Geim came up to her when she was thinking. He was another good looking Kord who could keep her attention for however long he wanted.

"Loda, remember I owe you a drink, lass and I think my coinage would spread to a first round for everyone so long as nobody chooses anything very fancy."

She nodded and smile again.

" Oh yes, you do dont you. Well I'm up for it, as long as everyone else is. Well even if they dont want to, I'm still up for a round or so!"

She chuckled and smiled, waiting for what the group wanted to do. As she did this she thought over what she needed to get.

" Ok, I need to get a pony, thats for sure. I dont want to be stuck trailing behind. And since Geim is getting us some drinks now, I'll replenish as many as I can at the bar. I'll get some good stuff so Gothard doesnt feel like he didnt get anything.

Finally!!!!!

Alloryen Kingdom
Istalindir
6th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
2:13 pm

Arriving at Istalindir, Malius took the first step and inquired directions to the markets he hoped to visit. The guards gave all of them directions, and treated them with more respect than they had had in such a large city. Even the Khords were looked upon with admiration. Apparently their deeds were being held in high regards by the Sylvari.

When they entered the first tavern, clean and gracious as they come in Sylvari lands, they found that though Geim offered to buy the first round, the bartender wouldn’t take their money. Instead, he said, he was the one who had to repay his debt to the adventurers. Still, after the first round he found that his debt had been collected, and no more free drinks were passed their way. The ale was Khordaldrum though, an unlikely find in a city so far from Khordish society.

They arranged a meeting point, at the eastern border of the city, in an hour and half, plenty of time to get goods and some rest, but also enough time to not be wasting too much.

Istalindir proved to be a fine city, though under high emotional pressure from the events that were taking place in the forest around it. The people were friendly, though Loda caught occasional glances of fear as she trotted the streets with Gothard. Her wolf companion cried occasionally, from feeling unwanted and from not having had his fill with beer for a while. But the druid was taking good care of her animal, and was already on her way to buy a new load.

Malius was on his way to one of the arcane towers that rose like toadstools from the ground between the buildings. He was accompanied by Thondrek, but the two parted when Malius entered, and Thondrek had to follow the road to where the merchants were located.

Geimiedefher and Alyssia (I assume) headed for the stables and markets to find some horses and ponies for the group. They carried the group’s cash with them, and found fine steeds for reasonable prices. Alyssia’s presence seemed to cleanse the salesmen from their usual greed, and Geim’s knowledgeable nature found them the best buys.

What Draven had been up to, none of the other knew, but he was the first to arrive at the eastern borders and impatiently awaited the others as they joined him one by one. They had all been quite successful in their finds. Malius even wore a dark studded leather armor that was new to their eyes, and Gothard looked contently lazy and droopy eyed after getting his share of liquor.

They left the city behind them fast, having improved their speed now they travelled on horseback. Only a few minutes on the road, they were halted by a young Sylvari man on a slender horse. He wore the loose but official clothing of the messengers they had seen running around in Istalindir, and in his hand was a letter.

“I’m glad I found you. I have a message for you, but I couldn’t find you in the city. I thought you already left. I’m glad I came back.”

He handed the letter to them and took off. Its contents were clear:

Dear friends,

Matters are far more serious than we thought. I took my findings from the Aratar Barad to have them investigated. It seems that the trees drawn by the sages of the tower are infected trees that are what’s changing the animals in our forest. A cure has been found, but I need your assistance in taking down the biggest of trees. You’ve dealt with the affects of the trees before and with success. Come to Hith Elee, a small town, on your way to the Chakran Mountains. The Sylvari Empire will reward you greatly for your service.

Lady Quilanday

After a small discussion the group agreed to comply with her request, reasoning that it would not take them far from their path, would be the heroic thing to do, would bring them some more money, or whatever reason would make any of them interested. They set their course slightly more south-east, and continued their trip.

The forest flashed by quickly now, and they were not bothered by any twisted creatures. Still, the devastation that was raging in the once quiet woods was visible throughout their journey.

When it was too dark to continue, they made their camp, and dividing the guarding shifts evenly they slept. Once more, the night was a haunted one. Strange noises hissed past, and light footfall could be heard through the mist. The horses and ponies were restless, bunching close together and peering about nervously. Even a shadow of a skulking creature was seen, but on second glance it was gone. The companions were being watched, but never harmed or disturbed.

The following morning brought an early rise. Two hours later they arrived at their destination: Hith Elee. They were greeted by a druid, who called to them from a tree. He told them that a bladesinger Lady had arrived the night before, and was staying at the Solanis Paean Inn.
A little later they were sitting in the common room of the Sylvari establishment, while the innkeeper brought their wine. It was a small inn, but comfortable and welcoming. The wall were filled with woodcarvings of many types of wood and shape. Below the stairs leading up stood a young horse, alive and well, glancing at them, but focused on the next floor.
Hith Elee was a small town, slightly bigger and more populated than Birch-Root had been. The innkeeper had told them the bladesinger was getting ready. When she finally came down, it was not the woman they had expected.

(OOC: I took the liberty to make the choice for you, just so that we can have this part dealt with. I didn’t want to wait another week, and spend it on ‘small talk’ so to speak. Things that you feel are not completely done yet, you can fix in backposting or in the Q/A.)

Alloryen Kingdom
Hith Elee
7th day of the 8th month: Temoth Ore
5:38 am

Elessar called her name with all the pride she could muster. She was a bladesinger, and the fullness of this title was slowly unravelling in her mind. She had gone through hell the past few days, getting hardly any sleep, constantly tapping her strength, fighting her way through perilous combat and patching herself up with healing spells. She needed a real bed, and good sleep. Still, she did not know how these people would perceive her. Therefore she decided on modesty.

"May we please enter and be directed to where I can find stabling for my horses, I would even sleep in the stable with them."

“Don’t be foolish!” came the reply. A young Sylvari man walked from the bushes on the side of the road, carrying a bow that was now pointing at the ground. He smiled.

“Elessarae Isiliri of Megilindar Nost will not sleep in the stables in our town. We gladly offer you a room at our inn. The Solanis Paean may be a simple place, but the food is good, and the beds will give you a better rest than the forest ground. I am Aluwego Marrienbark, very honoured to meet you.”

He bade her to follow him, and he brought her to the stables first, where they left Morya and Comrade. He explained that they had received a letter of warning from Sillarion, about the infected trees, and about the heroic deeds of the bladesinger Elessarae Isiliri. He had never thought he would meet such a hero in person. She could see that he was quite thrilled, but also surprised at her age.

When they arrived at the inn, the heard the fast fall of hooves. Aluwego had an arrow ready in the blink of an eye, but it was only Comrade who, once again, refused to be separated from Elessar. The innkeeper allowed him to enter the building while yawning. He would not permit him to go up the stairs, where Elessar received a room with the most comfortable bed she had slept in since she left her home. The innkeeper told her that he would bring her a quick meal before bed, but when he left, she sank on the bed with her clothes on, and left the daily world to enter a state of healing paralysis.

She woke up the following morning, feeling fit again, and Hungry! The day had already begun and a the sun was entering her window. The innkeeper came into her room, after inquiring if she was dressed. There was a company of travellers downstairs who were looking for her. They had asked to see the Lady bladesinger, and he needed to know what to tell them. A moment later he left, after promising her an elaborate breakfast.

When she descended the stairs, she was first greeted by Comrade. The young stallion was looking up at her and neighed softly. Then she noticed the group of people sitting in the common room. They were staring at her, and in their eyes they could see that she was not who they expected.
(OOC: This is it... players all joined together!)

Elessarae

A young Sylvari man walked from the bushes on the side of the road, carrying a bow that was now pointing at the ground. He smiled.

“Elessarae Isiliri of Megilindar Nost will not sleep in the stables in our town. We gladly offer you a room at our inn. The Solanis Paean may be a simple place, but the food is good, and the beds will give you a better rest than the forest ground. I am Aluwego Marrienbark, very honoured to meet you.”

The young archer bade her to follow him, and he brought her to the stables first, where they left Morae and Comrade. He explained that they had received a letter of warning from Sillarion, about the infected trees, and about the heroic deeds of the bladesinger Elessarae Isiliri. He had never thought he would meet such a hero in person. She could see that he was quite thrilled, but also surprised at her age.

They first left the horses at the stable, and a sleeping stable boy roused from his sleep took Morae in hand, though Comrade wore no halter, but he did seem to follow the boy.

“Both have traveled long and hard,” said Elessarae trying to hold her jellied legs together, it would not do for her to collapse on the ground. She was surprised that there was news from Sillarion already, and more surprised that her name had been added. “A good brushing for both, and a light feeding of grain with their hay.”

As they needed the inn and set of hooves moving rapidly brought Aluwego to alert. “Take ease,” she had turned and saw the pale body cantering towards her. Elessarae’s hand went out to stay him from raising his bow. She should have know that Comrade, her shadow, had come to be with her.

As she went to enter the inn her shadow entered with her, bringing a strange look from the archer, and then from the yawning innkeeper who must have been alerted of her coming by someone else.

“I am sorry,” apologized Elessarae, “but he is my ward and does not like to be parted from me. “Could you see he gets food and water?”

The innkeeper allowed him to enter the building but when the young stallion tried to follow her up the s,tairs as he did in the High Druids Tower, the innkeeper would not permit him to go up the stairs, where Elessar received a room with the most comfortable bed she had slept in since she left her home. The innkeeper told her that he would bring her a quick meal before bed, but when he left, she sank on the bed with her clothes on, and left the daily world to enter a state of healing paralysis.

She woke up the following morning, feeling fit again even those few hours of sleep and been a balm to her body. As much as she would have liked more sleep, she had news to relate and questions to ask and now was the time for that, she could sleep later. The day had already begun and a the sun was entering her window. A ewer of water and a large bowl provided for her daily ablutions, and clean clothes help raise her spirits. She hurried for Hunger drove her.

Just as she finished dressing a rap and a voice asking if she were dressed came through the door. She moved to the door and opened it.

"There was a company of travelers downstairs who were looking you," said the innkeeper. "They had asked to see the Lady Bladesinger. I need to know what to tell them.”

“I will be down in a moment, but I ask that you send for you town council, and any druid or sage you might have.”

A moment later he left, after promising her an elaborate breakfast.

When she descended the stairs, she was first greeted by Comrade. The young stallion was looking up at her and neighed softly. She looked him over for running her hands over his sleek body checking for any signs of injury. He had been her shadow through thick and thin, her moonhorse shadow.

Then she noticed the group of people sitting in the common room. They were staring at her, and in their eyes they could see that she was not who they expected.

The Lady Bladesinger that facved the group was tall for a Sylvari, taller than most males, and slender as a willow, yet as she moved to examine the young white stallion, muscles rippled under her fair skin, where it showed. Her silver hair was braided back and hung down her back to her waist. She was dressed in tones of gray with matching boots. Even among Sylvari she would be considered a beauty, and as she turned to fully look at them they could see her youthfulness, for a Sylvari, she was only a teenager. and that fact did not match up with her calling. Bladesingers were not teenagers they were experience bladesmen and warriors who meet many strignet prerequisites before earning that title.

At her left hip was hung a fine scabbard with an elegantly hilted long sword, which hinted that the blade hidden in it was of the same caliber, and the matching dagger hung at her right hip.

Her silver eyes had dark rings which intensified the look of them, so that when she turned her full attention on the the strangers, each member of the group seated at the table felt they were the object of her silvery stare. In her eyes, there was a look of puzzlement and interest. Behind that there was something more, if someone took the time to figure out what else was hidden within those silvery orbs.

Elessarae moved forward towards the table and Comrade followed, as his hooves drummed on the plank floor she made a note to have leather covers made for his feet when next he entered a building.

“Good morning, I am El...,” Elessarae caught herself before she just gave her name like she had before being made a Bladesinger, “Lady Elessarae Isiliri."

The look of puzzlement suddenly changed to dawning. “Excuse me, the last 4 days have have taken a toll on my mind,” Elessarae adds and as she says that a flash of something crosses her eyes, “I was sent North to join a group of adventurers, I hope you are them.” She did indeed hope that, for what she had experienced while she was alone since leaving Megilindar Nost had had a tremendous impact on her. Being a part of a group would be a relief.

Just then Comrade bumps her arm she smiles, “And this .........” Elessarae pauses as another name fills her mind, it was there all along, from the very beginning, “this is Moon Shadow,” she turns to look at the Moon Horse to see if he agrees with the name, “also called Comrade. He is my ward.”

Geim

Geim shakes his head in disbelief when he enters the tavern Sylvari be strange folk indeed to let a horse stay in the common room. He goes ahead and ignores it because it seems the tavern keeper is doing nothing about it. No reason to waste his own time trying.

At this tavern they had to buy their drinks. "Ah wee'll" he thinks "our fame did' last tis far. He buys the first round as he had promised and it ws not too bad, even if they do keep horses in the bar.

Geim pats his beard out of the way as he takes a long first draught of ale. "AH! Mother's milk. This is good Khordian stuff!" he exclaims. "Best I have had in a long while." Then he follows up the first draught with a second even longer one. "This I could get drunk on this and pass the time happily." He sighs as he slaps down the nearly empty tankard.

When he orders a second round he finds the barkeeps hand extended for payment. He then takes out enough to pay for a second round for the party.

The soft neigh over by the stairs catches the old Rune master's attention. Looking up she sees a tallish youth--not sure if it is male of female descending the steps.

The colt lifts a foreleg as if to climb the stairs but the youth holds up a hand and it doesn't.

This is not the Lady Quindalay so his attention goes back to his first tankard as he finishes it in one more gulp.

The youth that faced the group was tall for a Sylvari, taller than most males, and slender as a willow, yet as she moved to examine the young white stallion, muscles rippled under her fair skin, where it showed. Her silver hair was braided back and hung down her back to her waist. She was dressed in tones of gray with matching boots. At her left hip was hung a fine scabbard with an elegantly hilted long sword, which hinted that the blade hidden in it was of the same caliber, and the matching dagger hung at her right hip.

The youth moved forward towards the table and horse followed.

“Good morning, I am El..., “ the Lady Elessarae Isiliri."
Lady? thought Geim. She, for she was a she after one look at her face, far too pretty for a male, didn't look like a sprig of nobility, and certainly couldn't have achieved a Ladyship at her age; be she ranger or other such that granted their best with titles. Well, he would listen to see if he could figure it out.

The look of puzzlement on her face “Excuse me, the last 4 days have have taken a toll on my mind. I was sent North to join a group of adventurers, I hope you are them," there seems to be a look of relief in her eyes.

“And this .........this is Moon Shadow, also called Comrade. He is my ward.”

Couldn't be a Bladesinger, thinks Geim, yet she claimed it and he didn't know any sane elf that would falsely claim such a position, and she did not sound insane.

Geim waited for one of the other's to speak, but he looked at them with a heavy eyebrow raised in question.

“Sit yourself down lass there is some extra room, for you, but not your ward. Then you can tell us more so we be understanding it better.”

Elessarae

Elessarae looked about the table and wonders how the others would take her company. It was not enough that she was sent to join them, but it would seem they had not expected her, their strange looks as she came over, and when she said that she was coming to join them, had not chanced their looks and demeanor.

One elf , a Ranger by dress, was eyeing her had some sort if change to his face, though it was not a positive one, maybe because she seemed too young to be a Bladesinger, and she had called herself one, even though she was one quite contrary to the idea that Bladesingerswere mature and seasoned warriors.

Bah

Thondrek sat with his second frothy mug of the morning already fast on its way to being emptied when the strange woman approached, garnering strange looks and seemingly taken aback enough to even forget her own title.

Looking uo at her he finished his drink, and slid the flagon across the table away from him.

"Well if the Lady be kind enough buy the next round, she can happ'ly have me chair, and the floor ta speak her case."

Thondrek accentuated the point buy tilting his empty mug back and forth while doing the same with his chair, one leg wrapped behind the leg wobbling it as he leaned forward.
