Get your emoticons in order!
Am I the only one who noticed that when Rat was about to "sound the bugle" and get into a fight he included little smily faces going "splat" and getting cut up?
Come on Rat! Think positive! Or at least have positive smiley faces!

1. aprox. 100 yards
2. hard to tell their rate of movement yet
3. the light & scream came from the same area inside the woodline maybe another 50 yards in and OH YES they are connected.
4. They are coming from the north
5. Since it wasn't really stated anywhere i'll say Yes.
6. You can only see the outlines of the figures from the light still blazing behind them.At this time you can make out 6 but you have no way of knowing if that is all.

To attack or not to attack
Well, it looks like we have some space between them and us, which is good. Do we launch arrows and spells without really knowing what is out there?
When deer hunting it is always important to shoot whenever you see motion - it might be a deer, so you don't want to wait and make sure or you might miss your chance. Of course, it might be a hunter. But they should be dressed in bright orange and not shanblind around in the woods late at night. Right?

I hate undead
Unless they are "special" zombies, I don't think we need any type of special weapons to hit them.
If they are zombies and Anvil gives the word, I'll start firing at them with my bow.
If they are Shambling Mounds, I'm running.
Sleep (and any other enchantment/charm spells) are pretty much useless against undead. I'll just be ranged support on this go round.

This ...
..... may be the time for Hingatuli to cast the Magical Stone spell because it takes 4 rounds and can be given to Rat since the 3 stones used with the sling inflicts 2d4 damage against Undead targets!
Stones only remain enchanted for 30 minutes, so this seems to be as good a time as any!
Remember the missing corpses?
Looks like they have returned now!
Meanwhile, when they get closer we can chop them up!

Suggesting ...
start firing now (bows, slings)
Hingali make the stones
we observe closely as the get hit/approach
as we kill (if) we keep passing
as they approach, if zombies, we keep passing
as they approach, if shambling mounds, we punt
it seems the dogs are pretty sure this is something undeadish

Let loose with the aerial assult and see what happens. We can always run if need be after first round.

Attack it is
Ok, it sounds like we are going to let loose the barrage. I'll post shortly.
Hingatuli seems to want to use the magic stone spell - and it seems like it might be a good idea.
Anvil and Trillian can shoot arrows.
Rat can sling stones - normal at first, magic once Hammer finishes his task.
T'Sal can keep an eye out the back door/window and try and keep the dogs from charging out and away from us. I don't think we want them doing that - not that I'm sure they would with how they are acting.
For now I think we are assuming they are zombies, but I guess we will see. We should be ready to run if needed. Maybe T'Sal could make sure we are ready to go if we need to leave in a hurry. T'Sal may be the busiest of all of us, even without actively fighting at first.
Did we have enything for lighting? Anvil has torches. Do we want to do anything about that? I guess we have infravision - wouldn't zombies show up with that - or more precisely NOT show up - thus revealing their true nature?

Heroes anyone?
One more thing - we did hear a woman scream. Right now we are sort of hanging back and waiting for the presumed zombies to reach us while we shoot at them. Anybody pushing for being a hero and charging towards the scream?
Anvil is as much into this hero thing as anyone, I think, but I doubt that is a good idea. But I don't want to forget about the scream and light either.

Rat
with his speed and dexterity would willingly scamper to investigate the scream, but it would seem his stone-slinging is more valuable at the moment

Group post is up
If we play hero I think the whole group would need to go - one little thief charging into the night seems crazy. For now, lets see what we are facing.
Also, we should probably look back at the description of the bunkhouse. Doorways can create useful bottlenecks for hand combat. Also, am I right that there is a back way out - or in? Need to check that.

Actions ...
..... for Hingatuli are right on!
After casting spell he has a Cross Bow to fire!
But will refrain from the Silver Bolts for later!

Lights!
Well, I had a feeling light would be an issue.
I suspect the lack of heat for infravision confirms the zombie diagnosis. Still I don't like the idea of zombies coming at me in the dark.
Anvil has torches, who else? I would think that Hingatuli is in midspell. Trillian and Anvil have bows out. That makes Rat or T'Sal the best choices for getting some lights on, I think. Perhaps we could light a torch and throw it far out as well, to try and increase the range of vision.
Thoughts? Do rat and T'Sal have light sources?
