Since Lost is on, and i have 2 people to update for, I altered my plan a little.

Chris will advance the stairwell slowly, until he can see whatever it is upstairs that's dragging and thumping as it were. The moment he can spot whatever it is if it's anything even remotely not human he'll back down the stairs and away from whatever the hell it is as best as possible.
