Siarl-quite amused

Siarl shook his head. What utter nonsense. What was the point of signing the book? If a person decided not go, or to quit after they started, would waving that book around get them to keep going? He saw it weighed upon Nadira to add her name, and his tail waggeda little as she took a loophole out. These people were fools if they thought to restrict the Chindari.

She slowly made her way back to the group. Siarl felt no need to mark the book. He would follow Nadira. Nadrira was going, so he was going too. He melted away, appearing at her side as she reached the group. It is difficult for me to imagine not being prepared for danger at all times, especially since they apparently have a major crisis happening here.
Siarl gave a small nod as he looked at the group himeslf. Even the dire wolf wore some kind of protective covering. Siarl shook his head. Let us hope they show more common sense on the plains. Otherwise, this will be a short quest indeed. Remember though, these people have not had to spend every day fighting for survival as we have. Loathesome of a chore as it is, its up to us to try and teach them, and now is as good an opportunity as we'll ever get.
Dwellers.
The disdain was apparent in her thoughts. Siarl shoook his head again. If this kept up, it wouldnt just be the plains that he'd have to protect Nadira from....

Siarl is no longer amused.

The hackles rose on Siarl's neck just remembering. Of the great and grand group who had so valiantly volunteered, signing that ridiculous book.... only Andras, himself, and Nadira remained. Not that the others had died... they were well enough he supposed... they had not gotten around to actually leaving though.

How they expect anything to get done is beyond me.... their very way of life is endangered, and still they cannot find the motivation... I had expected better of the Wolf, especially.
After waiting for the better part of a month, Nadira had decided that anymore "preparations" would be a waste, and headed out of the village, Siarl at her side. Andras caught wind of it and soon joined them. Siarl was glad of his company. He was a master warrior, and dedicated to this quest. It meant he would fight for the party, and protect Nadira.

So far they had been lucky. Food had been reasonably available to hunt, meaning they hadnt had to use up many supplies. There had been a few troubles along road, as there always are, but nothing that Siarl hadnt expected.

Expected, and prepared for.

Tultaur -

Tultaur made his way through the crowd, the square packed with the multitude of people. Thankfully his ‘affliction’ had been put at bay before he had arrived here; the thirst seems to get harder to control with each passing day.

Early, he had seen others signing the book: the old barkeep and a wolf, and the girl with hers.

‘Are the people planning to have a pack of wolves live here,’ he mused himself. A second glance at the crowd made him wonder why they haven’t just done this themselves, ‘Strong enough to complain, too weak to fight.’
Tultaur stood before the table, donned lightly in a chest piece, the dark blue shirt visible underneath. The gold wrist brace, given to him by his benefactor, was kept hidden within the armored gauntlet. He took the ink pen and signed his name upon the list. He left without a single word or glance.

(4 Hours before the council meeting)

The sun barely broke out, as Tultaur left to the outskirts of the small village. He was lightly dressed today, wearing his plate chest piece with a dark blue shirt underneath. Walking off the path, the grass was flatten beneath his leather boots. He wasn’t heading any where in particular but he needed to be away from the little village for the moment. He preferred to travel by himself; it reminded him of a time when he was hunting a bounty back in Bayris.

But now’s not the time for reminiscing about the past, there’s a deeper need to play out. Tultaur trudged through the woodwork. His breath became heavy.
His grip on FrostBane tightened.
Froth slowly bubbled at the corner of his snarling lips.
He hunched his body, and slowed when he saw what lay ahead.

Huddled together near a campfire, people garbled in leather armor, fur, and metal watch their meal cook on the spit, their weapons sheathed at their waist. They were arguing over the latest loot. People would call these men thieves, scum, and bandits. They were hardly of any value to Tultaur.

But one word found its way to Tultaur’s mind, voices not his own echoed within, his lip curled with recognition of the word, "Prey"
(Present)

Away from the crowd, he was alone with his thoughts. The first thing that came to mind is the current situation and anger at his own inactivity. Little has been done and the days are wasting away, something must be done or else Fahill is doomed before anything can be done. Without much forethought, he decided to follow the girl for now and learn what he can of her and hopefully get her to join his group.
