In regards to your question Tann...
Yes. Much. To an incredible level.
Also, sneak characters in thieve's guild? PSH, nah. Hit up (I believe) Windhelm, and go to the Arentino Residence. Talk to Aventus, and then go to town. You'll have much more fun in... ...

In case you were wondering
I have been playing several different characters from pure Heavy Warrior, to Lowly thief/assassin to full mage. Also pursuing different paths along the way. They are all fun and I havent played half of what is availalbe in this game.
The best I have done is with my heavy armor straight shielf and sword warrior. I pursued the dragon problem, which is the main quest (theme) of the game. I was able to complete the quest and rid Skyrim of the main problem, not going to throw out any spoilers by saying anything, and I did it all by level 23. It wasnt easy but I thought I did quite good.
Now on to other things as there are so many things and paths to explore I think you could play this game forever.
To all those that want this game and dont have it yet; Get It! You wont regret it!

I haven't played Skyrim yet but....
I walk up to someone- I run a apothecary, I have potions that can heal you of your disease. Barter- who says I want to serve your kind here....Aren't the Dunmer of Ghostgate friendly? At this point I had three diseases and was going to get a blight sometime soon-Ataxia, Witbane and Blood-something. Yay for Morrowind!!

Have it, Love it
I have Skyrim on the XBOX360 and I have to say it's in my top 5 games of all time probably. Right now I'm a level 35 Khajiit master of stealth (100 sneak and all possible perks for sneak). Not that it matters haha. Just saying I love this game and thanks for posting a thread. There are so many good games out there deserving of a thread as well but not very many have such an immense amount of content to discuss.

Attention, members of the Dark Brotherhood...
...or potential members, even... I've got a little recommendation for you all, here.
When/if you get the "Summon Spectral Assassin" power (gained after completing the "Bound Until Death" quest, I believe), I highly recommend summoning the fellow up and just walking around with him for a bit... This guy (who apparently is the ghost of Lucien Lachance from TES IV: Oblivion) is downright hysterical or, at least, has some hysterical "quotes"... One of my all time favorites (and, also, one that caught me off guard to such an extent that I laughed myself silly): "Perhaps we should find a random stranger to murder. Practice does make perfect..."
And, another similar quote you might hear if Lucien's tagging along with you in Riften: "Ah, I so do love Riften, I visited it in my youth and a thief stole from me, he took my purse and I took his eyes. It was a fair exchange."

Hell yeah!
Love Skyrim I do. As with all its predecessors, I love the open world of Skyrim. All the free roaming around adds so much to its reality part. Just perfect. Unfortunately though Star Wars the Old Republic has been eating up my gaming time of late. Nowadays I sometimes catch myself wondering (for a second or two at most) what it would be like to still be a single guy without kids... Of course it could be that I would spend my nights at very different venues if I were.

guess what I've been doing recently?
Things that playing Skyrim has taught me about my own adventuring style:
- If there is a book, I will pick it up, even if I have multiple copies of it.
- Lock picking is apparently much easier than previously anticipated, so it will be done frequently, and often times in plain view of others.
- Food is a life saver.
- When in doubt, shoot it with an arrow before it has a chance to speak.
