Or... having read your PM
Would you prefer that my character "snuck" his family aboard the ship and then once we were out in the black, they started coming out of hiding?
That could be tricky... but if you're willing to help me think of creative ways to beat the ship's security, that would be a hoot... especially seeing as Jack is all 'boot security and all.

Meat an' taters
Did the Cerberus just get back from DS9?
No, but it's next stop after she leaves SB 10 will be DS9 where she will rendezvous with the Charon, etc, etc, before getting into the thick of things. The family could still board there, quite possibly.
That help?

Arevaci
I don't know how much of Christoph's history you picked up, but he wasn't always with medical. Much of his early career is classified still (Olan has the details, and I'm more than willing to PM them to you as well), but in light of his specific training and talents, I'm thinking Fleet would have slapped him in the diplomatic corps against any protestations he might care to make.
...of course, anyone with half a brain knows diplomats are always up to their necks in intelligence and counterintelligence.
Anyway, it was a thought that occurred to me, and seemed a logical progression of the character in a time of war such the Federation is in now. At least, were I privy to his files and in charge of any part of directing the war, that's what I'd've done with him.

My dear
Ryst is playing? Doesn't he create an infinite black hole effect where he causes games to die?
*wards the area extensively and vigorously shakes garlic at everyone for no reason*

The curse
Hey now... The Rystefn Curse doesn't always cause the game to die... sometimes I'm the only one that has to drop. I could point to a certain Star Wars game around here as evidence.

Provided the Jan. Timeline...
Gavison will Captain the other ship. I guess I should crew up as well. Olan, any chance of getting roster and timeline tools set up for these two ships?

Diplomats and Marines
Ryst - Arevaci moving on up to the Diplomatic Corps makes sense to me... still looking for Arevaci's original bio but having damn poor luck.
Brianna - Write me up a concept/bio for your MSgt.

Ack! Almost forgot!
Brom - I'm sure we can stretch the story to make the 'rendezvous' with the Charon happen in January, somehow. Cerberus won't be leaving SB10 for three days 'game time' and has to get from there to DS9, so plenty can happen, there.

Arevaci
OK, I'm pretty sure I have at least bits and pieces of it still floating around, and I'm certain I can fill in the gaps. Might take me a few days, but I'll dig up what I can, fill in the rest, and retcon it all later when it turns out to be wrong.

Time...
...isn't an issue, Ryst... not just yet, anyway. I've still got a post or two that I'll be adding before any crew actually comes aboard, etc, and, in game time, there's still three whole days before the ship leaves spacedock.
I will continue searching for whatever I might be able to find of Arevaci's original dossier, though, and, if/when I find anything, I'll send it straight to you.

Bios are critical...
...especially if you have your heart set on a particular slot.
I just mentioned in the Q&A that this game has taken off much quicker than I had anticipated and, quite honestly, the level of interest I have received in the few short days that the threads have been up has astounded me... I loves me some Innmates!
That said, I want to stress that getting bios for your characters submitted is likely going to be the key to getting the position(s) in the game that you want... It doesn't have to be an epic background or service record by any means but I would like it to have some "meat" to it. If all you can muster is "I went to starfleet, graduated the academy, and am now serving aboard the Cerberus... I'm a Bolian and I want to be an Ops officer," you're more likely to find yourself as an Ensign hustling PADDs around between the deck all day as opposed to the Chief of Operations.
Now, just to clarify, I'm not trying to be "pushy" here and I'm by no means hinting that the bios I've received to this point haven't been good (in fact, the actual bios I've gotten to this point have been fantastic!!! Can't wait for you all to meet our Chief Flight Control Officer and our TAC/SEC Chief (who's already posted in game, bless the shaggy bugger)... I'm only tossing this out there to remind us all that this is Roleplay as opposed to Roll play and a beefy bio makes great post fodder for all concerned.
Again, thanks for the overwhelming interest and great concepts... I just love this place.
