Description: Standing at just over five and a half feet tall and weighing roughly 175 pounds, Pio is a typical drannese male. His chestnut hair, while thick, is usually kept short and never allowed to grow past his chin. The warrior is slender, yet his muscles are corded and built for endurance.

Pio is a man of deep, passionate faith – yet is also simple and earthy. While he pays heed to all the gods of good, his life path has drawn him towards Therassor, the god of righteous battle. While Pio can be a tactician when the need arises, he is a man of action who seeks to win both the favour of his lord and of men through his deeds.

While not overtly a glory hound, Pio is secretly looking to make a name for himself. And while he enjoys the praises of men (and women), he does not look to lord over anyone. Somewhat surprising (at least to Pio), Pio has often found himself leading men into battle over the past seven years.

Pio is a man of the common folk who remains deeply connected to his humble upbringing despite his successes in battle. Not forgetting to debt owed to Ormander, Pio has often returned to Drefast to lend the old man a hand through donations of wealth and time. While he sees the thievery of the orphanage as a necessary evil to survive in the often times cruel environment of Drefast, Pio hopes for a day when the orphanage will not longer need sulk in the shadows. Armed that hope – that dream for a better future – Pio continues to work on Ormander’s behalf. It is what has brought him back home this day.

Recent History: Pio has spent the last ten years wandering throughout the lands of Drannon as a soldier of fortune, often returning to Drefast after a specific contract is complete. He has fought in a variety of campaigns against Sendria, a few against Ertain, and has ventured as far as the swamps of Kedesh to the west. From time to time, he has taken on “exploration” jobs, delving deep into tombs and towers from ages past, looking to recover long forgotten “items of interest” for his employers. His powerful weapon and belt were “acquired” on one such expedition into the ruins of Thrinacia, though Pio would say that it was a gift given to him by the handmaiden of Therassor herself.

I picked up the Long Sword +1 [DMG] and a Healing Belt [MIC, pg 110)

A Healing Belt grants the following:

+2 Heal checks (always active)

3 charges each day which are renewed each day at dawn.
By expending charges through touch, Pio can heal damage (or cause damage to undead) in the following amounts:

1 charge = heals 2d8 hp
2 charges = heals 3d8 hp
3 charges = heals 4d8 hp

Stryke: Your character is much older than mine and probably had not met me at the orphanage. Therefore, there is NO way you would know was a magic user by sight. Percifeer makes a point of being an 'archer'. Looking like a magic user is one way to put a bullseye on your chest.

Ayrn: Great post. Your age does a heck of a lot to bring the group together. If you weren't power-gaming I'd like it even more .

Everyone else: I can't wait to get rollin'. This is looking like fun.

Man, if I were power-gaming, I would have gone with Crsauder 4 all the way, picked up a glaive, some spiked armor, and taking Combat Reflexes, Stand Still, and Stone Power to create an crazy, attack of opportunity doom machine.

Instead, I'm just trying to fill in the gaps I perceive in our party (battlefield control, buffer, healing) as best I can, so you all can SHINE!

The beauty of Pio is that he has so many abilities that make the rest of you SHINE well (at least, I hope that will be the case). He like a bard... only better!


On another note, will it be okay if Pio calls your character "Percy"?

regarding magic items/feats/etc.

Almerin, after seeing Ayrn's character, I see you're giving us a bit more leeway with magic items/feats than I originally thought. I'm curious if I could trade in my amulet of natural armor for a wand of summon monster I? It will save me 1250gp and drop my AC from 19 to 18 (14 w/o mage armor). Is that reasonable?
