initiative and editing posts..
I have a query...
and I'll use the following example to try and explain where I'm headed with this..
Player X posts and attacks player Y.
Keeps rolls secret
Player Y posts Player X,
keeps rolls secret
Player Z posts attacking player Y in hopes of finishing them off.
keeps rolls secret
Player A posts Attacking Player Z who's now moved into position closer to them for attacking their teammate Player X
Devalero goes through his pm's and realizes according to PLayer X's rolls, verified by witness and all that.. that he killed player Y.
Player Y therefore does not get to attack player X..
Player Z therefore may not have moved to attack player Y, also leading to Player A not necessarily wanting to now move to attack Player Z...
See where I'm going with this.?
This could result in alot of postscripting lol..

I say...
dems da breaks, kid! You committed to your action! Sucks that your teammate died and now you're stuck!
Really, though... I think that is how it should play. You post your actions, committing your character to the round. Everything is happening so fast (you only have 6 seconds / rounds), changing on the fly doesn't seem realistic, even if it means that the character you were going to attack is dead by someone else before you got the chance, I still don't think you should be able to change you action so you don't feel like you "wasted" your action.
For instance, if my teammate and I go to attack the same character, me with a magic missile and her with an arrow. And she happens to go first and drop the character with her arrow, I still think my magic missile should continue to target the now dead character. Sure, it's overkill, but it also seems more realistic. (AND means a whole lot less postscripts)

Evanin's attack
Evanin got attacked with an attack of opportunity trying to fire a ranged attack while in melee range of a fighter .. but .. it think it was freekin's attack .. so .. that means it probably never happened since he dropped .. let me double check and i'll update your hp if thats the case

Considering it was my hp at stake I've had surprising little to say about the attack of opportunity.
Ummm, Yay?

Really, the ground is quite comfortable. Except for the rock under my back. Can someone brush that spider off me?

Question
Isn't the arena grounds relatively devoid of vegetation?
If so, does Entangle still work?
Just something to ponder...

Entangle
I was in chat with Devalero when I asked him about it and he said it would work... I think in his exact words it was something like.. "That's alot of grass!" So yeah... I guess everyone needs to include a reflex save who'se down in the middle bottom area.
Enjoy the gift of nature's embrace
