Ya I run...
I'm also working on 2 miles I'm up to 1.5 cross country. I have to get up to a decent 3 mile time within about 18 months. (about less than 20 minutes.) So I can get a good score on the Physical Qualification Test for the Marines.

you guys are probably ALL faster than me
i'm on cross country too
but my one mile time is 6 mins
i dunno about two miles
sure, i've run two miles during practice
but i never timed myself
and why are we talking about cross country?
it's SOCCER/ BASKETBALL season
i still run in soccer
