So
Is MMV going to post her findings before the update from GM or are we going to assume she did it? Just curious and anxious!

Question for Al: How much more can we push Destiny?
I don't mind asking for a bit more from her, but I gotta tell you, I hate the possibility of being run down and already going at full tilt boogey. Makes the 'getting away' part a little more difficult.
Second question for Al: Did you want me to post the live wave bit before your GM post or after?

Captain needs his rest..........
I'd left the reply to the wave open to Jason and Tess. I figure I'd be awaken again, but the wave content would be filled in by Al.
I suppose it would make sence for Al to post that Jason answered and the Tess got Jon to the bridge.
Here's what might happen as Jon gets the call from Tess.
Once more Jon grumbles, "Ta Ma Duh, why can't things just go smoothly once?" Jon moves from his bunk and hits the com back to the brige, " Okay, I'm on my way." As he turns back to dress he mutters, " Chickens, got to learn to just stay with them chickens..."
Reaching the bridge Jon takes the wave mic, "This is Jon Brown, what can I do for you?"

well
I just wanted to know if Al wants me to post that before or after his GM post. I've got RP interaction all planned out, and it will work either way I'm sure.
edit: planned out as in my head ~ though now Jon can be integrated into said plans

Hello all
Once again I apologize for the delay in posting. I have been having some medical issues and well, learning to deal with them. Serious? probably. Let's just say that I should be taking things more seriously.
Anyway. the show must ... you know. So I will be posting to all my games today and tomorrow.
Questions?
How much more can we push Destiny?
You can red line the engines and say "hey we are going to go for 13 on the burn" You can try anything, the skill checks just get higher and higher. Grace will be rolling for formidable on the engines and Tess on the helm. One set of double 1's and the engines will buckle and whine. 2nd botch and something serious will happen to engines. So if you plan to do this, I'd use plot points.
Did you want me to post the live wave bit before your GM post or after?
Ummm.... Not really. What Ody gave me will work to get the message part going. I would like to get things moving.

Thanks Al!
...That was exactly what I needed to know!
I won't be pushing Destiny like that anytime soon unless it is absolutely necessary. ^_^

Just a little....
Popped a bit of a post to start conversations and comments.
I'd bet if there is one Tong boat out there there are more waiting, so we just can blast it out of black. If we run and we have to defend ourselves, well that's different.
Of course they probably already sent word get out to the Tong that they spotted us to make the offer.
If word is out about the diamonds then I'm thinking it's now a race to get rid of load. We're going to have all kinds of friends now.
-----------------
Oops, meant "we can't blast them out of the black!
Gee I need to read my edits sooner, .

Quite a bit farther, I hope...
Question Al: How far away is that ship? I mean, we don't have to be right next to them to receive a wave. Heck, they could be on Greenleaf for the range of a wave.

tracking
You can try to track the location of the signal by how long the delay is between message received and sent. This would be a skill check (Technical Eng or Knowledge). it won't be precise but it a distance range.
But you can draw a few conclusions. If he wants your cargo, there would have to be an exchange, in which case it should be close and stationary - so a moon or large asteroid. Also, getting the message as you have entered the shipping lanes is also indicative that they are close.
Arrowhead courier class are fast ships, some of the fastest around. They are small and sleek and can not carry a lot of cargo but they can do 10 or 11 burn. Destiny handles like a gunship, in that it can do surprising agile maneuvers for its size.
Armaments - Most ships wouldn't dare because if alliance finds them then that is it. They will take the ship, strip it down, sell it for parts and ship you to Perdition. Arrowheads are small so really unlikely they would have weapons. Unless they had the cash to spare to buy them fancy newtech ones that are almost undetectable.

skillz
Well, better have Tess do the check just to see if she can figure out where they are. Tactical advantage and all. ^_^
Consequently, how does Ken know about Arrowhead class speeds?

More than just a pretty face.
Ken has some skills as well, besides he has a history that has familiarized him with certain things; this just happens to be one of them.

Play dumb............
Well if you all are fine with it, I was planning a reply along the lines of,
"Well Mr. chung, you're only a day out of Greenleaf, I'm sure they have more wine ready. We have a contract and we plan to honor it so I'm sorry but as tempting as it your offer is a contract is a contract. We're behind schedule as it is so no offence but we gotta burn." With that Jon signals Tess to let'er rip.
Depending on how everyone else posts there will be a bit more dialog with the crew. Jon will be sure to say something to Ken about him agreeing to turning down the money. Some comments on Tess out flying anthing in the verse and so on...
Maybe Grace has some secrets up her engineers sleeve that could be helpful.

Yes!
I like it, Ody! Tess'll have some gaff about flying, and if the skill check has any success, she'll comment on that too.
Guess I should have asked about the check sooner. Sorry Al!
