Well...
From a player p.o.v. having Emily fix up Mac's shoulder while still in the store would make the most sense. He's currently unconcious, so he shouldn't scream too much, and it will be easier to move him if he's properly stitched up.
We also have shelter to do it in currently, who knows when the next time that will happen will be... oh and at least some daylight from the windows to help as well. Waiting around another few hours will make it more difficult I'd imagine... I watched them try to do that on M.A.S.H. a few times, it always caused more problems than it solved.

Agreed...
...I think prioritizing medical treatment is how Murph would be inclined, as well. Even jostling around unconscious in a wheelbarrow is likely to make Mac's wound worse and up the chances of him bleeding out. Also, sitting still (i.e. not walking or running) might be a good thing for Emily... she'll be moving more than she likes soon enough, I'm sure.
Sooo... my thoughts are, find a secure spot here in the store to tend the wounded... one or more of us can gather a wheelbarrow and/or any secondary supplies we might think of while the stitching is going on. Once Mac's stitched and loaded and everybody's ready I'm thinking we roll out for the harbor per my earlier QA post... "hopefully" a safe haven out on the water, fairly easily defensible, wounded can recoup without too much worry, others can run "side missions" in the meantime.. *shrug*
My 2 cents, anyway.

Im sure Emily Knows this....
If she checks the situation carefully.
the axe cut through some bone considering any major blood vessels to the heart are behind the ribs. So he needs to be wrapped up TIGHT (possibly using more pads lol, guauze, and maybe even some duct tape) after being stitched up.

Shush!
You're unconscious and about to be loaded into a wheelbarrow... no talking when you're compost!
Juuuust kidding....
Okay... just a little more fluff, there... like I said, nothing that mattered... still glad I got it done before Olan's update, though.
Okay... off to work on... errr.. other stuff.
G'night everybody.

Isn't Emily in need of a little treatment as well? From the post it sounded as though she had some broken ribs...

Um...
..."the wounded" is a general term meaning "everyone with injuries" so, yeah, that would include Emily.
Now, that said, aside from pain killers and such, there's not a whole lot that can be done about cracked and broken ribs other than to let them heal... wrapping them (especially tightly) is not a good idea (trust me... been there...)... and especially when the patient also has pneumonia... don't wanna compress those lungs, you know?
Em's gonna be hurtin' for certain, I'm sure... but, if we managed to get enough stuff at the pharm, she should be able to make it more tolerable.

Shoot the wounded in the skull.
Then shoot the non-wounded.
Then tape all your corpses together and hide inside, riding you like a massive hamster ball to safety.
My plans often end like this.
Have we made a firm decision on a boat? Theodore could get behind this, and I'd like some info on Olan on the nearest dock/yachtclub/waterpark.
Also, shoot the bees. Goddamn bees.

Nearest boat...
...will likely be found in Belmont Harbor, I believe. About a block or two east of our present position.
Not sure if the zombies can swim but Murph's figuring they can't run across the waters of Lake Michigan, so a boat is the most logical "safe place" he can think of right now. No one has strongly objected so I think we're pretty solid on the idea.

boats
This is correct - the harbor is only a couple of blocks to the east. You may be able to find a boat here.
A gentle reminder, guys - you left the basement due to hunger. You still don't have food.

Oh yeah...
...food.
*rumblerumble*
I hate to do the "split the party" thing but what's the general consensus on sending a couple of people over to the grocery for food whilst Emily doctors Mac (and herself)... we'll need someone standing guard over them, of course...
Shopping gets done... Medical business gets taken care of... a little "rest" of sorts... by the time the food patrol returns, Mac might be ready to be loaded up and we can scoot.

Guns
So long as whoever goes across the street has guns that would probably make the most sense.
*shudders* God I just agreeed to splitting up the party for a bit. I'm going to help get us all killed I know it.

Well, let's see...
Emily and Mac can't go but Mac's .357 is available and has 3 rounds left in it, I think?
Alaster and Murph both have shotguns.
Amber's got a hatchet and a satchel full of comfortably numb.
Father Teddy's got Jesus and an elephant gun.
Kramer ditched us cuz we almost got eaten.
Jake's likely out eating someone else.
So, what... Murph and Alaster go grocery shopping, Reverend Artillery and Amber (armed with Mac's .357) stand guard while Emily tends to Mac... or, do we just send one person all the way to the Treasure Island and have another shotgun on hand at the hardware store?

Door Number 1
I like Mac & Murph running across the street to get food.
((please dear God no candy bars... get useful stuff, canned meat, fruit, veggies, crackers, PB... and a can opener, because if we have to reenact that scene from The Pianist I'll cry))
With a gun, her prior training to be a nurse and her bag of goodies Amber is more needed with the injured... although I'm not sure how great she'll feel about being left with the good Reverend and watching Murph walk off, but it makes the most sense

Splitting the party in the midst of the zombie apocalypse?
How delicious!
Also, I should point out that while Emily, being an out of towner, would likely have no knowledge of the man, the rest of you Chicago locals may well recognize "Reverend Artillery".
Father Theodore Gregory (aka Father Ted) is a pretty well known televangelist based here in Chicago. He probably hit the very height of his poplarity in the Jimmy Swaggart era of the 80s, but has been doing the Lord's work on TV for better than three decades.
It's up to you guys how much you know about him; your character may be totally oblivious, but they probably at least recognize the face. It did come out in the news recently that Father Ted has been living a very lavish lifestyle - penthouse suite, Rolls Royce, multiple month -long safari trips to Africa, etc. Popular opinion of the man was damaged, but he still held his position up until the zombie outbreak.
