robert frost post
Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was white as snow,
And everywhere that Mary went the lamb was sure to go.
It followed her to school one day, it was against the rule,
The teacher fire a round into the roof of the plane school and said "I'm tired of these m****rf***in' lambs in this m****f***in' school!"
Original composition. I entitle it, "I'm Unsure Why I Censored the Word Mother".

Poem 2
I liked that robert frost post
And here is P2:
Goodness
Is more important
Than wisdom
And to admit that
Is the beginning to wisdom

Haiku.......Gesundheit!
Gruggy tries to rhyme.
He does it most of the time,
But not with success.

Sun
There is rain in Sweden today,
but I am still okay.
For the worth of text I may,
say that happiness is a way.

Colorful Bovine
I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one.
But I can tell you anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.

I sting like a butterfly,

Not so small
I wish I was invited to a ball,
where it did not matter that I am so tall,
I would dance,
and give every lady a chance.

Favorite Poem
For a Dead Lady
No more with overflowing light
Shall fill the eyes that now are faded,
Nor shall another's fringe with night
Their woman-hidden world as they did.
No more shall quiver down the days
The flowing wonder of her ways,
Whereof no language may requite
The shifting and the many-shaded.
The grace, divine, definitive,
Clings only as a faint forestalling;
The laugh that love could not forgive
Is hushed, and answers to no calling;
The forehead and the little ears
Have gone where Saturn keeps the years;
The breast where roses could not live
Has done with rising and with falling.
The beauty, shattered by the laws
That have creation in their keeping,
No longer trembles at applause,
Or over children that are sleeping;
And we who delve in beauty's lore
Know all that we have known before
Of what inexorable cause
Makes Time so vicious in his reaping.
Edward Arlington Robinson
((I'm terrible at writting my own poetry, much better at prose, so I just use other people's. Robinson is one of my all time favorite poets))
