"My schedule is the same of our friends... Can you handle all them?"

"I'll be inside you. As long as they don;t get any funny ideas...I might just have to hit them." he almost laughed at his own joke. He was disembodied...but he could still probabaly annoy them by entering their minds.

"Don't be mean! I may end up with Don or Al if the Earth Godess chooses them." She turned red at the thought.

She had brought it up again. Why was she letting someone else govern her life? Why was it that tradition had to tell her who to love?

He kept silent. He didn't want to say anything, but he was furious.

Donald was staring at Dawn. This woman had to be insane.

He had found a pack of cigarettes in his drawers, so he was smoking one now. He was saving the joint for his free period, as he still had quite a hangover from the party.

"Dawn, what's that about Earth Goddess choosing?"

Dawn blushed again. "She can't have children, so she'll choose a gifted earth witch." Dawn ducked her head. "You 2 are good candidates..."

"I can pretty much tell you she's not choosing me. She's going to outlive us all. I know that much. And I don't want her to choose me. I just want to graduate, move into the country, and have a farm. I could be productive with her help."

Donald finished his cigarette and stomped on it.

"So, ready for class today?"

"No, but I don't have a choice." Dawn walked past him, heading to 1st period.

"Very true. After last night, my attention span is shot. I can't remember much other than that demon..."

Donald sighed. That was NOT something he wanted to remember. The way he felt after killing...it was his first time, and he hoped he never had to do it again.

"Please don't!" She grabbed his arm. Tears were in his eyes. "Don't make me remember that..."

"My bad. I'm sorry, but it happened. I don't like it either. I watched my little brother die, and I killed a man. I'm not too happy about that either! But things have to be remembered. Just like I have to remember Alexander, and what he did. Life can't be pruned and weeded. We take on the good and bad, no matter how bad it is."

Donald sounded like his dad at that moment.

"Just let me forget that. You... when it ripped me open... please!" Dawn started sobbing.

"Fine."

He felt like she was being weak right now, but he was always quick to judge others. He didn't know why, he just was.

"Could you give a damn?" She yelled and turned to run.

Donald just let her run. No point in arguing when neither side will see it differently. He continued his casual stroll through the school, letting Earth guide him where he needs to go. He wasn't particularly worried what Dawn thought about him. Not anymore, at least.
