OOC (the runes)
As you each turn the stones over I will tell each what it means. YOu will turn them over in order that you drew them, Logan, High--, Xuor, Brainna and Lorae.

Turning the Stone
"gladly" Logan says. Using one finger, he rolls it over so that the rune is face up.

Runes
Just as Logan turns his over, Flame darts out and grabs one,
"This one is mine!"
Lorae looks at him apologetically, "Sorry, Flame I forgot to tell you to take one."
"Logan that is Tiwaz it stands for Warrior. Who draws this ia a warrior and a defender of justice."
Lorae looks to each of the othere and as they turn over their stones she tells them what they mean.
"Highnar yours is Eihwaz and stands for the Yew Tree. Who draws this inspires trust, is honest and can be relied upon."
"Xuor yours is Hagalaz and it stands for Hail. Who draws this rails at fate, the universe, and deities one is destined for a hard life unless one learns to accept those things beyond one’s control."
"Brianna yours is Raidho it stands for Journeys. Who draws this has a sense of dislocation being out of time, place, and space."
"And Flame, yours is Kenaz iit stands for Torch. It means you carry the power of Light and transformation, changing those you come in contact with for the better."
(Now for the strangest part of this. I used a special program where I would type in a name and the tell the program to draw a rune. Except for Highnar's first rune, which will go to the thief, all the runes were drawn exactly as I gave them to you.)

More of the foretelling...
Instead of looking at the stone, Xour kept scanning the room. he was always prepared to fight.
“Xuor yours is Hagalaz and it stands for Hail. Who draws this rails at fate, the universe, and deities one is destined for a hard life unless one learns to accept those things beyond one’s control," she said.
Xuor laughed at the thought of this pronouncement. Far from railing at fate, the universe, and the deities, he tended to disregard them. He had shown up at this place at this time simply because he had felt the pull of a need. If the reading was any sample of what he could expect, the prophecy was something he could easily ignore. As for accepting things beyond one’s control then why bother struggling at all? The essence of life was struggle and his own personal motto was “Mahta (To battle),” engraved on his signet ring. The struggle was the reason he had taken up arms in the first place.
He decided to allow the others to rely on fate. He would relay on a quick wit, a keen eye, and strong arms. Yes, these fools needed someone to look after them. He smiled, raised his cup, took a small sip of the drink, and continued to watch the others in the room. Luck had again provided a chance to strike a blow against evil because fools like these tendeed to attract evil.

Collecting the Stones
Lorae holds her hands out to each of the group to collect the stones and she slips them back into their bag and puts it into a haversack she wears.
"Tomorrow be ready to leave. Have your mounts well grained, We go hunting these people." On the table she sets a paper. Written in large clear print is, The Cult of the Dragon. "Burn it when you finish reading it."
She waits a moment, looking to Xuor, and then raises and heads back up to Brainna's and her room.

Time to retire
With that, Logan looks at the piece of paper, reads it and then hands it to Xuor as he gets up to leave. "Here, you can burn this seeing as how you dont believe in fate." With that, Logan leaves the Table, hands the waitress and two more gold pieces and then heads to the stable where he will stay the night.

rest
These people seemed a little perturbed that Xour did not share their belief in fate and saw him as somewhat separate from them. That did not bother him in the least. He preferred the wilderness because it kept him away from crowds and he did not find people as easy to deal with as animals. He only came to the civilized areas to be able to destroy the small bits of evil he was capable of removing from the world. These people considered themselves heroes in a predetermined story. Xours knew that he was only a the last of a house that refused to submit.
While the others had examined the paper, he continues to scan the room for threats. He had learned to expect attacks at any time and especially when things seemed the safest. After the others were done, he read its contents of the paper then burned it. He crushed the resulting ashes and scattered them across the room as he walked to the innkeeper. He asked the innkeeper “Are there any private rooms available?”

What is past is not improtant
Brianna listens to Lorae's reading of her rune. Her people had used something similar in the casting for fortunes. "I did not need to know about what was already past. However since nothing was given that touched now or my future I will make sure of a future for myself as I can." she stands, picks up her tankard and drains it dry.
"Server, a tankard of you best ale." with that she sits down. "Anyone want to join me in another round?" she asks around the table "I buy one one for each of you." Brianna leans back on her chair resting her booted feet on the table top. her long logs stretched out. "Yesterday is a memory, today is to be lived, tomorrow, everything is possible." she entones to no one in particular.

one more drink
Given a choice of three rooms. Xour decides on the one costing five silver in the hopes that it would at least be clean. As usual, he would not be sleeping on the bed any way. Although he would provide a bundle in the bed which would look likely for any attacker. His wolf would provide the additional security. He planned to sleep even lighter than normal this night.
He was about to speak when he heard Brianna’s invitation for a drink. Handing five silver to the innkeeper, he said “I’ll take the large bee.” Turning to Brianna he bows slightly and replies, ‘I think I will accept that offer because ‘Yesterday is a memory, today is to be lived, tomorrow, everything is possible.’ Yes, Tomorrow everything is possible!”
Xour returned to the table. His gaze scanned the room again for possible trouble. He would drink slowly.

Leaving the Inn
"Brianna, thank you for the offer, but I must retire. Tomorrow for us shall start early. Give what would have been mine to Highnar." With that he turns to Highnar, "Friend, enjoy this night with the others and enjoy my drink for me. Xuor, please learn to relax just a little. Life is short, even for an Elf, thou you shall out live me of this I'm sure, try to learn to enoy life just a little. Danger doesn't lurk behind every door just to make our lives miserable." With that he turns and leaves the group at the table.

SHe looks around too but more for just seeing what waas goin on. Brianna did npt live is fear of much. TOo much had she already faced and overcome. She relaxed and enjoyed what she could when she could. though she was not unaware of her surroundings.

Happenings
THE INN
The serving wench brings up two big tankards and a full pitcher. The Inn begins to empty, locals heading home and travelers needing to get their rest before the next days travel.
THE STABLE
The stable is well kept and though it smells of horses it is not obnoxiously so. Horses are bedded in staw and have buckles full of water and mangers full of hay. From one of the box stalls a large black horse's head appears to watch as Logan enters the barn. Only because of the moonlight is Logan barely able to percieve the animal, being black and in darkess. The horse seems to have no trouble seeing Logan, though.
