another player, and posting
Just wanted to let you all know that Kyle will, in fact, be joining us with his human male fighter, Ta'Arms.
I see no reason why he could not have met up with the human portion of the party in the past; indeed, he may also have been the sort that would have benefitted from some of the charity from followers of Falloes and Merca.
Or, alternately, he could have met Fae as far back as in her military service.
Now, all that being said... folks, the floor is open. Feel free to post to the game thread, even though I don't have all character sheets finished up yet.

Stuff and stuff!
First - Welcome, Kyle! Nice to have another meat-shield... *ahem*... fellow adventurer in the fold.
Second - I'm perfectly fine with En'Aranthea being our de facto leader per Olan and Vanadia's rationale on the previous page.
Third - Yay for potions and posts! Put J down for a potion of cure light wounds or some such, good sir, and I'll see what I can do about tacking a post on to the game thread!
Finally - Facelicks all around!!! Cuz I'm slurpy-licious like that!

Plus Heal Plus One
I think cure light wounds would work best for Rae as well. Can't really go wrong with health recovery.
As for connections, I do like the chain of events that Olan suggested. It makes sense to me as well that Rae and Donan would have met up through their charity giving, and then eventually meet up with Blair as well (with Fae probably making subtle suggestions for him to stay on the straight and narrow or at least give it a chance).
Rae does have some history in the Southern Sylvari Kingdom, so there is some possibility of someone asking En'Aranthea to also keep a look out for a particular Sylvari when on the mission. But that's open to discussion; I might fire Vanadia a PM about it once I get Fae's background complete.
Darn it, out of time. Would make a game post but have a bus to catch...

Speaking of backgrounds....
...here's some info on Jarenion for those of you who might be interested (or need some fodder for postiness... or might just be bored and in desperate need of something to read...) Won't post his entire sheet here as I'm guessing Olan is still in the process of working them up and giving them a polish, but description and background can't hurt.
Jarenion Mithésonel
Physical Description: Being Sylvari, Jarenion stands at a fairly diminutive 5' 5" tall and weighs a rather sleight 105 lbs. Despite his small stature, however, the young Syl cuts an imposing if not intimidating figure owed to his confidence and determination. He wears his long black hair in a loose and, in truth, somewhat unkempt fashion, his eyes (a violet shade common to his blood line), much like the points of his leaf-shaped ears, are seldom seen as they are often hidden by the spill of his hair and the wide brim of the dark leather hat that he rarely removes. He is most often seen wearing a knee-length, charcoal grey coat, blousy black trousers, and soft charcoal grey boots in lieu of the standard robes of a mage. His only visible weapons are a rune-carved staff of dark wood that is seldom far from hand and a small knife that hangs amidst a cluster of pouches from the belt around his waist… what items may be in those pouches or, for that matter, in the dark leather satchel slung from his shoulder are beyond imagining as he guards their contents jealously.
Background: Jarenion Mithesonel is a relatively young Sylvari ( around 118 years or so), hailing from the town of Hith Elee in Alloryen. His father, Taniian, died nobly in service to the Order of the Secret Storm and, as such, his mother, Minluina, encouraged him practically from birth to follow in his father's footsteps to honor Taniian's memory and the "family tradition." Thus, Jarenion's life has been steeped in magic (and very little else) from very early on. His studious nature has made him quite proficient in the wielding of the arcane arts and, more recently, gained him admittance as his father's legacy into the Order of the Secret Storm.
Jarenion also has a younger sister, Calteliel, who, in the not too distant past, left Hith Elee for Megilindar Nost in Maelamin to pursue a life as a Bladesinger. The last Jarenion heard from his sister was that she had reached Tinechur, wasn’t far from Bladesingers Keep, and would contact him again when she reached the Keep and let him know that she had arrived safely and had been accepted among the Bladesingers. Jarenion has yet to receive that communique, though, and has begun to wonder as to his sister’s fate.
Personality: Jarenion might easily be mistaken as being arrogant by those who haven’t taken the time (or had the patience) to get to know him beyond appearances and first impressions. He is rather aloof and supremely confident in his abilities, though, tending to be a bit of an intimidator when it comes to wielding the arcane energies he’s spent his life mastering and, often, prefers to take his spells into combat alongside sword-and-armor fighters rather than simply providing them support from a distance as he has seen many other mages do. Despite his standoffish nature and lack of a ready smile for most of civilization, those who have travelled with and/or befriended the mage know that a warm smile and pleasant conversation can be evoked from Jarenion on occasion… if you can pull his attentions from his spellcraft for that long.

Of potions and things...
As far as my preference for free potions go, a good ol' Elixir of Health would be great. Or, if the "cure-all" nature of this potion is a no-go, I'd rather like a half-flask of it that, hopefully, cures poison (and possibly infection).
Will look to have some background posted up later, as Eol did above; as I've just realized I've only really been sending things to Olan.
I will say though that his description of what Danon would likely be doing, and his stance on leadership are exactly what I would have pegged them at, so I'm happy it conveyed well.
I'm sure we'll work the kinks out in no time.
Cheers,
-T_O

Was Pondering Order
Earlier today I was giving some thought to what order by which we may be walking on the road, so I come home and see that Eol has posted already!
What I was thinking was that Galardil was probably marching somewhere close to Jarenion (protecting the Mage perhaps or just enjoys his company from previous times?)
However, he would be at the rear of the group, partly to be wary against anything or type of attack from behind; plus to enjoy the view of nature to each side of the road and to look at where they had been.
Goblins are sneaky that way, attacking where least expected, so Galardil prefers to walk or ride behind most of the others; but on occasion will mingle with the group, whether in front, middle or back as they journey.
This day he is the last one in line, absorbed in his thoughts, praying and keeping watch to the left or right and behind the party!

Marching order...
I imagine that Jarenion would prefer the middlish region of any formalized marching line. I don't think he'd care for being relegated to the very rear and being envisioned as a "support spellslinger" and, while he's certainly confident enough that his magic will get him through any situation, he's smart enough to know that having a sword and shield or two between himself and anything ahead isn't a bad thing. So, the middle gives him the opportunity to "play up front" and get all nasty with the mana-mashing while also allowing something of a "fall back and play the fire-support role" when he must.
Current order as posed by Hammer seems okay to me for the moment, regardless. Somewhere towards the rear - at least within chatting distance of Galardil.

well
It's of course completely up to you guys, but typically in a group with this composition, you'd have two warriors up front and one in the back as a rearguard. Ideally, the rearguard would be someone with a missile weapon, though it's not a big deal for them to charge up to melee if there is no threat from the back.
Your mage would be in the very middle of the formation, with the rogue and clerics acting as a buffer to the front and back of him.
Of course, if you *know* that there is no threat from behind, the muscle would all go up front, then clerics, rogue, and mage at the very back.
But those are just common alignments... it your party, feel free to organize it any way you see fit.

Ta’Arms
About 6 months ago… Kyle Westhelm lead Ta’Arms to a small Inn, “There are those inside that will look after you. Stand tall and be the man you know you are.” Kyle then looked down at a midsized black dog, “Stay.” The dog looked up at Ta’Arms, then back at Kyle and simply sat.
Upon entering the Inn Eol Fefalas stood and spoke, “Welcome, Kyle Westhelm Battle Cleric of the Sea Goddess! Nice to have another meat-shield... *ahem*... fellow adventurer in the fold.”
Kyle smiled, “Old friend it does my heart good to know our roads will fallow the same path for a good while I hope.” Kyle looks to Master T_Catt11 with a smile. He then addresses the table of young hopefuls, “This is Ta-Arms.”
Stepping up from behind the 5’11” battle cleric was Ta-Arms.
Ta-Arms stood 6’4” and was not a man of slender build but to call him fat would be a mistake. His shoulder length hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail that covered his ears. His bangs were also left loose allowing him to hide from eyes that perhaps stared to long at him. If you caught a glimpse of his eyes they were a hazel green color and seemed a bit bright for one of his kind. The big man stepped forward and waved like a small schoolboy and simply said, “Hi.”
Kyle motioned to a chair and Ta-Arms took a seat. As he did Kyle notice a dark shape moving behind Ta-Arms, “Dog, you were told to wait outside.” A black dog looking like a cross between an Irish wolfhound and a lab, perhaps weighing in at 120 pounds, stepped out of the shadows and sat beside Ta-Arms. His muzzle was gray and the left side of his head was dinted in slightly.
The dog looked up at Kyle as it placed its head on the lap of Ta’Arms. Ta’Arms look up at Kyle, then to the other 6 people at the table and then back at Kyle and simply said, “Please.”
Kyle looked to Master T_Catt11 and with a smile, “Fine.” With that done the conversation continued…
Hearing the Lady Fae speak of potions Kyle reached into his sack and handed Ta’Arms a potion of similar color in a slightly different bottle, “This will keep you well.”…
Over the past 6 months…
Physical Description: Ta-Arms stands 6’4” and weighs in at about 220lbs but as some might look upon him and see a lack of grandeur, he seems much smaller than what he is. His hair is long and kept in a ponytail that covered his ears. His bangs were also left loose allowing him to hide from eyes that perhaps stared to long at him. If you caught a glimpse of his eyes they were a hazel green color and seemed a bit bright for one of his kind. He is wearing a wool blanket as a cloak that some one has sewn in a small bit to look like hood cap. His shirt is made of burlap bags. His pants are of a harden leather but has soften over the years of wear. His boots are ankle high soldier boots. A round wooden shield is his protection along with mix match of armor that would equal out to banded mail. The hilt of a sword on his left side could mean he is right handed. There is a fine hilt of a dagger blade on his left side. He has an empty quiver and an unstrung bow.
I will let Master T_Catt11 contact those who know more about his background later. But for now, all you good people know is that over the past 6 months he has proven himself to be a very loyal part of the group. No matter how bad you treat him he will always put his sword and himself in harms way to protect the party. The dog during combat seems to run and hide usually behind the magic users where protection is greatest. Away from combat he is there to help those who treat him well with weapon cleaning, armor cleaning, and/or any other simple task that would make life a bit easier on the road. The dog is the camp love hound, keeping close to those who are hurt giving soothing comfort, or playing fetch with one who seems a little uneasy or homesick.
Ta’Arms has been known to sit for hours and listen to others ramble on about this and that. To many outsiders he is a simple person but to those who have known him there is potential for much more.
Current time...
Marching order, someone will have to fuss at Ta’Arms and dog…

The dog does not bite...
Not even the bad guys.
Thank you Master Eol Fefalas. The honor is mine to have such a wonderful band of brethren to trump through the mist, and muck.

Is that Hammer?
Thank you Might Hammer. It is I who welcome the honor of fighting along side you on the field of battle. For I have heard many an enemy have soiled themselves before facing you in battle. As for the dog, a few but scratches and bit of food and dog will be your friend for a long time.

Hmmmmmmmm
I neglected to describe the Emerald Gem in his braided hair that comes down over or near his right eye, but I will hopefully remember to include that in my next post after everyone posts and Olan provides an update!
Thus Far, Great Posts Everyone!
Rae had the exact response (that was intended by my post) to Galardil shouting '... May Be Unliving!'
He is not 100% sure, but has had dealings in the past with Skeletons and Zombies, but mainly with Orcs and his most hated of foes Goblins!
