We can RP the Illusionist and Shaman setting and talking. The party will learn more about each other as situations arise. Maybe the Illusionist will recall his own taboo about burning books or scrolls. Tohmas won't stop the use of fire but will continue to remind everyone on its wise and careful use.

Areldor will get back to the Toothless Dragon Tavern the day before he has to sacrifice Gold to Minerva on the holy day!

You have the Fire Wand that is Non-Rechargable and you will have some spare gold coins that you can blast with your Fire Stick to sacrifice the gold to Minerva on the evening of the 16th, which is the next day game time from when I submit the UpDate in a day or two!

I am still typing what I have hand written and have more writing/typing for the UpDate that I plan to Post no later than Friday!

Deadline for Active Players Saturday November 23rd is the deadline for Active Players to Post after the UpDate is added to the Game Thread for your Character to remain active in the game!

Tann will be writing a Farewell Post as Crow will be leaving the Seekers after the UpDate!

Any other Characters not actively Posted in Game by Saturday November 23rd will be written out of the adventure without dying!

Deadline for Choosing Destination Monday November 25th is the Deadline for you Players to come into agreement upon the location of your Destination on the Mainland across the Sea of Shenal so that I have time to prepare for the next encounter and be able to Post the Destination UpDate sometime during the USA Thanksgiving Weekend Holiday!

If a Destination has not been agreed upon among the Active Players by Monday November 25th, then I will decide where on the Mainland to the west the Seekers will go!

Do we know anything about the lands to the west that might help us plan where to go next?

Right now you just have that Map, but I am in the process of typing and writing/typing the final portions of the UpDate, so we will see what is provided, as it is rather lengthy right now!

However, it is probably for the best that I have a 'fresh set of eyes' before posting, so that when I proof read the UpDate again on Thursday evening, I will be able to make any necessary adjustments (or not) to provide the answers to some questions of what may await you in this adventure!

Most everyone who has been in one of my games knows that I do not purposely try to kill characters!

Only 'games' have been killed by fizzling!

But in this one the stakes have been raised and a blunder or poor choice or *shudder* a misfortunate roll of the dice may result in death for anyone!



And as for that 'Novel' of an UpDate ???

Right now it is around 8 typed pages and still needs a couple of adjustments!

I will be proof reading the UpDate in a few minutes and once I am satisfied with it I will post it to the game!

*Clears a block of time later to read the update* "Peggy," Calls to his secretary, "Clear my afternoon schedule tomorrow. I have got to read this!"

Gee, Mad Dog asks us to go to war for him and then sells us the stuff we need to go fight for him and bring back more treasure for him. How nice of him! Gives us 5000 gold and then takes it back on limited equipment.

He should arm us for free with his best to improve our chances for success.

We should get at least two items free and then buy what ever else we need at 50% discount using the 5000 gold!

Those items would just be sitting in that room to gather dust instead of help his Treasure Seeker to succeed.
Anyone else think we need to "Negotiate" this deal?
We succeed he gets richer, we die he looses his investments. So better to fit us for success.

We have already proven that we are capable.

No Negotiations with Mad Dog Muldoon; however, you will discover before you leave that he is much more than just 'dangling a carrot' in front of your nose and then 'fleecing' you of what you thought you had earned.

Just spend your 5000 on the equipment and then see what happens before you board the ship in two weeks

I would suggest we all get the Ring of Sustenance /2,800 Gold Coins, that reduces the need for carrying food, hunting for food and stopping for meals. Also Rings are hard to come by and this is chance for all to get one.

Next improve your armor, what good is a fancy weapon if your near dead from attacks.

Next improve your weapons. You don't have to go crazy. It would be more likely to find weapons as we go along and as we defeat enemies.

We then see how much gold is left as a group to buy Wands of healing and potions. We don't each need one but the party should have some. The Clerics and Druids check your healing spells and then decide where we need to add wands and potions. We may even consider spending some of our original gold for this.

Note the Silver weapons, could be a hint to future enemies. Those with range weapons can share the silver arrows so we should estimate a proper count needed by the party. Also we need to remember to RP retrieving them so they last longer.
