All right, I appreciate the posts. As I already posted for Fixer coming out the door, I won't expect a follow-up post from Nomad (you're welcome to if you want, though), Espatier will also wait for my next post (most likely, as I'll be introducing his character in it), which leaves Keeper being the only one who hasn't posted a continuance.

Seeing how Christmas and New Years is just around the corner, please let me know if you'd rather wait until after the Holidays to continue or if you'd like to just move forward.

Ok, it seems we are in a store and in need of some communication. Fixer has a couple of options I'd like your in put on.

1. Store bought walkie talkies - Fixer would semi-veto this because they are easily traced. $30 for a pair.

2. Make them for about $65 each. Basic walkies. Non-traceable. Or at least hard to trace.

3. NuCybe Radio Splices. Quick. Just plug them in. More private than walkie talkies, I assume. Less visible maybe? But they cost $200 each.

I think Fixer would choose the some-assembly required method. But I'm not sure how much we are worried about the trace issue. Also, how many do we need. I started off assuming that it would be one per person. But I think when I read the posts we were likely to be in 2 groups. Can we get by with just two? Or 4? Or what? This is actually what I am least confident about.

They have them in this day and age why not in the cyberpunk time frame? Also they are qiute cheap from those I have seen recently for sale at Cricket stores. I'm working on my next post and should have it up by tommorrow night. If something along those lines exist I'll suggest in my post.

They do exist. However, tracking software and methodology in law enforcement is much more advanced. Anything pre fabricated would be considered susceptible to teaching or interception.

I was assuming that walkie talkies - whether pre-fab or home made had the same problem with interception. Tracing varies, but not interception. Am I wrong?

Also, the $200 option - the cubes. Are they harder to intercept?

Any radio frequency has the chance of being intercepted if someone knows what they are looking for. The NuCybe is the least troublesome but it is also a buy as is scenario. The jury-rigged are the second most secure becauseFixer has more control over distance, band, etc. (e.g. AM band vs. FM, 500 ft vs. 1 mile).

I was hoping for some input from the gang. Without any, Fixer will simply make two walkie talkies. If you think we should go with another option, or have more than two, please speak up soon. I'll probably post within 24 hours.

I think we each need our own, tied in together. If we do as I suggested and Keeper and I set up overwatch with our long range guns, we don't need a repeat of what you all went through at the school.

That's the first time in a while where we had everyone post. Bravo!

All right, I've continued the game. Some things you should know:

Each character was charged the $65 NCDs needed to construct the homemade walkie-talkies. Each of your character sheets have been updated with the device. Range on them is only a quarter of a mile (small antenae) and battery is about the same as a modern cellphone.

I'm going to also assume that everyone buys food at Green Gene's, so I've subtracted an additional $8 NCDs from your sheets.

Why do we need to buy food? They were given a free meal at Hightowers BBQ. I myself had a dinner and a brunch there so I know I do not need food at this time.
