the hitting oneself in the foot this time ...
came from my critical fumble chart which I did up originally for Nomachron years ago you rolled to inflict self damage, I just chose the descriptive flavor text of hitting yourself in the foot, though I know 'shooting oneself in the foot' is a coined phrase as it were, taken from midwestern cowboy days and what not.

Nah the saying 'shooting oneself in the foot' came from a common practice of self-mutilation among British soldiers during WW1, in which to escape the horror of the trenches, they'd literally shoot themselves in the foot. (there was a way of doing it without risking splintering the bone).
I didn't realize that Jozan had so many HP! 75 would have put him at twice what Aelistae has. No wonder he's such a hard bugger to heal.
Good job with the criticals, though, (and the same goes to Artanis). Things are starting to look a little more positive for us.

@ 10th grade history teacher....
Ok, I posted. I hope the way I did it works. I left it so that if Talus decides he doesn't want Artanis to help him move, then her actions should still be relatively unbroken. 'cause if she helps him or not, her next action is still just as doable.
Also I made sure to include what she would do in a couple different scenarios.
Hope it works out ok, and is all something you can work with Kaelyn.
If what I've written doesn't work, please let me know before you update, and maybe I can do something different????

Seems ok to me. I was going to have Aelistae run off to attack the dire wolf mauling Sheva, but with Artanis doing it, I think it's time to face off against the big bad.

FYI
Artanis isn't attacking the dire wolf. She was headed in that direction, but veared off to help Linnix. So she's attacking the last of the active wolves, from my count. There is one sleeping, one trying to paw its way out of the clearing, and then the one attacking Linnix. (all aside from the Lycan and Dire wolf, of course)
At any rate, Artanis is not attacking the dire wolf.

ah well
I don't think I'll bother to amend Aelistae's actions. With the werewolf so close to her, it makes sense for her to attack it.

heh, woops. In my table top games we always play with max health, and I didn't realize that everyone else wasn't doing that. The 61 health is totally fine for me, I'll gladly take the change.

No worries. It was an honest mistake.
The one (big) problem of playing a game where all the PCs have max. health is that all the villains have max health too.

Oh and I was going to say, I think I see a pattern.
A: Kill or maim foe with near or full dismemberment
B: Xaris gets hit with lightning.
has happened twice now, wonder if the pattern will keep up?

hehe
So Ive found a new favourite song of mine and it totally inspired me to rush home to update the combat scene, but I need Deuc to post before I can, I'm gonna try and embed the song to play while you read, because frankly, it's just too cool to pass out for our resident super gnome..
If I can't manage to embed it due to bandwidth issues and what not, I'll Just leave the lyrics here.
Everything about this song screams kick ass, and really puts me in a soldier's perspective and while you guys aren't drafted military, I can still totally see Linnix and Xaris or Artanis, or even Aelistae or Bart mentally pumping themselves up for combat with something like this running through their minds to a degree.
