Inquiries...
Vatta stepped into the Inn and appraised the situation; she could help but over hear the Drow’s words and after hearing the conversation with the Riders she stepped forth and hailed them.
“Guardsmen!” She said softly but firmly to get there attention, “What seems to be the problem here? What charges does this Drow face?”
She was curious about this because it sounded like they were detaining the Drow just because it was a Drow. Being an elf she knew racial prejudices and hated them and fought them whenever she encountered them.
When Xuor and Brianna entered she nodded to them as she waited for the Riders to answer her.

Oh really...
"Ji. Dosst kaas zhah Flame... bel'la dos xhenshun'nye. Eilistraee dumo dos. Orn dos zexen'uma xuil uns'aa? ( So. Your name is Flame... thank you darling. Eilistraee bless you. Will you stay with me? )"
The woman spoke to her new companion with a warmth in her voice.
Hearing the new voices in the room, she stares forward at the guards. "I have done nothing which permits the persecution which I am receiving! Please, aid me!"

What a nice dragon...
The prisoner shakes her head slightly, enough to get the hood off, but not enough to disturb flame. Ivory white hair that continues down past the hood into the rest of the cloak contrasts with her night black skin. Her delicate beauty is stunning. "You are nice too Flame. Would you be nice enough to untie my hands?"
She turns to the people behind her, who had just arrived at the scene. Her blood red eyes showing clearly in comparison to her black face which frames them. Flashing them an uneasy smile, she says in her silken smooth voice, "Greetings. If you could manage to convince these guards I mean no harm, that would be much appreciated."

Lenwe Utinuenmirima Calaudra
From the road to inside the inn
Lenwe rides slowly to the scene of the commotion, his head bowed and shoulders hunched, a defeated man. He followes the sounds into the inn where he dismounts the horse and enters, and looks at the drow captive from the side blocking the door from closing. He usually doesn’t get involved in this sort of thing, the drow had done great evils against men and elves and dwarves and there kin but now was the time for forgiveness.
(OOC: Everything below this is assuming that the drow captive’s legs aren’t tied)
He could not attack or defend the drow, but he could help her still, in undercommon he spoke to the drow. "I will be able to see you, move quiet and swift."
He then muttered under his breath, in elven, two spells. See invisible, to be cast on himself, and Invisibility, to be cast on the drow captive.
As Lenwe starts muttering a falcon, Kethra, lands on the drows shoulders, the necessary connection between Lenwe and the receiver of the spell. The drow herself feels a slight weight on her shoulder and a light tingling sensation as her body disappears and Kethra turns invisible as well and flys off.

Well well... help from all sides eh?
"Very well. If you save me, I will trust you." The woman replies in the same language which the man spoke to her. Giving a smile to Flame, she whispers to him in drow, "Kyorl dos ulnin, ussta abbil. Usstan zhaun dos orn ragar uns'aa 'sohna (See you soon, my friend. I know you will find me again.)"
The weight on her shoulder was not expected, but it was accepted. Suddenly, the tingle in her body knew that this man was a magic user. Common folk were so startled by magic, that they were often shocked. Lowering her natural resistance to this type of thing, she permits herself to be over come by the magic.
As the weight on her shoulder disappears, and the guards faces change, Alexadria takes her cue to move quickly, and quietly. She brushes past the one who had cast magic on her, and whispered "Thank you. Meet me behind this building if you wish to speak further."
________________________________________________________________________
OOC the part about lowering her natural defenses mean she willingly forsakes her spell resistance in order for the spell to take effect.

Moving out of Inn on Drow's shoulder
Flame does not move from the Drows shoulder. he stays with his tail wrapped around her neck fighting the fold of the hood.
{I stay with you} came a telepathic thought into the Drow's head. {What fun they will chase us. we will hide good Brianna will get mad and blame me.}
"Wheeeeee!" the sound is suddenly {oops, I be quiet}

Disappearance.
The two Riders were momentarily at a loss, but they would not be Riders without the ability to quickly adapt.
"Gone!" the first Rider swung his arms about wildly, trying to see if the Drow had just gone invisible. By that time the Drow had deftly left the area with softfooted steps. "She must of been a Wizard, the little dragon must have been her familar."
"Noooo." drawled the second Rider, "I have seen him before, with the Amazon warrioress, one of the bunch I was telling you about." He looks about and his brown eyes stop at the sight of Brianna. Brianna recognized him, Sgt, Blane Hawkridge, she had a few drinks with him the morning after the battle at Eventide.
"I think that bird was the familar," He paused thoughtfully. By that time Lorae stepped into the inn, having tossed some coins to the stable boy to see to Julius's horse and Moon Dancer.
Many of the common folk are just staring about, not even sure of what happened, though it seemed some did. Instantly the room was abuzz with consternation, people perplexed and worried once they learned of the Drow and her disappearance. Many were afraid that her was the hearald of some attack on the village.

Lorae
Lorae looks to her people and then to the Riders. She knew she had walked into something as sharper that normal vision and a equally sharp intellect notices the missing captive and sensitive ears caught the gists of the conversations going on about the room.
"Would someone like to explain what is going on?"

Game Post: Questions
The Sgt looks to Vatta and then Brianna, "We could ask the same thing."
But knowing you folk I will tell you that we caught a Drow lurking about at the edge of the Cormanthor 1/2 days ride west. We were taking her to Asbenford. She kept saying she was a cleric to Eilistraee but we had no way to prove it, so we were bringing her in. Only my horse went soar so we were slowed. We decided to come here and with till morning.
"Now what do you know?" He looks to Brianna

Lorae
Lorae's knows none of their group do magic that include invisibility, and by the young woman's own words, she was a cleric. She glances about and notices the Julius has left the group.
"I am sure that Brianna can answer any question you have, I need to go see to the horses."
With that she left the common room and stepped outside. She pause and her eyes closed as she concentrated. When they opened she looked back over her shoulder and strode down the stairs and started around the to back.

Displeasures...
As the Drow and Flame disappeared Vatta smiled a little but it quickly faded as the guards turned to them wondering what had just happened. She didn’t want the guards thinking she had anything to do with the Drow’s escape.
“So just because she is a Drow that makes her subject to persecution?” Vatta asked raising an eyebrow and letting her displeasure leak into her voice. “It is such hatreds that cause wars such at the one you now find yourselves in.”
That said, Vatta turned away from the Riders and walked over to the bar, “You should find proof of wrongdoing before you arrest someone.”
She turned her back on the Riders, containing her anger at the situation. She ordered a glass of elvin wine and tried to calm herself as she waited for her drink.

Brianna
Brianna, who was ready to let Lorae handle this mess, was suprised when Lorae walked out and left it in her hands. “Wait I am no good at these sort of things," she says to Lorae's back as it disappears through the door of the inn.
Vatta ventured a few thinly veiled remarks of her own to the Riders.
The Sgt. appeared a be a bit miffed at Vatta’s words, justified or not. He responded to Vatta as she turned away. “We didn’t arrest her, we detained her until we could find out for a fact she was what she said she was. The Drow have been causing lots of problems lately. It was said they were behind the most recent coordinated attack of Eventide. That you people helped us with."
Vatta remarks gave Brianna a moment or two to figure out what to say, “Truth be told, this group broke the back of that attack by getting a warning to Ashbenford and taking on a large splinter group that never made their flanking attack. So, I think we can try to get this problem straightened out as soon as I find that rascally dragonette. He is the only one of us that can use magic. Though I have never seen him use invisibility before that does meant he can’t."
"I agree with Vatta, there are good Drow and bad Drow. Detaining her when she has done nothing wrong that you know of, is not just. We just don’t know the truth because, unfortunately, she is not here now to discuss this problem with us. One of two things are possible either she is bad and did not want to be found out or two, she was frightened by the idea that she would not have justice at your hands.. Lorae can tell you if she is good or bad, she is a Paladin
“As for Flame, he has a way it seems to know things about people, well at least if they are good or bad. Now it isn’t much, but if he felt so strongly about her then you would perhaps understand why she didn’t stay to straighten things out to your satisfaction.”
“I know this is not how you want this problem resolved, but until I can find Flame and try to get the woman to return with me to have Lorae check her out there is not much else I can do. If we find her and discover she is evil then we will make sure to hand her over to proper authorities. If she is good then you have no need to worry about her at all. I will promise you we will take care of the Drow one way or the other.”
“Now, Sgt. the blacksmith shop is still open, if you hurry you can get your horse taken care of.”
And Brianna hoped he would do just that and leave the matter of the Drow to them. She wasn't very good at this sort of thing. Why did Lorae leave her to do it?

an interesting development
Xour joined Vatta outside to find out that the riders had brought in a drow which they had manacaled. It seemed they had no real reason tobring her in except for the fact that she was a drow, and the woman was asking for help, claiming tobe a cleric. Vatta seemed to be rather annoyed at the riders and ask very directly what the drow was charged with.
Xour watched and waited to see what was going to happen he was also not real comfortable with what he was seeing for it seemed that this drow was arrested for just being a drow.
He noticed that Brianna's dragon Flame was wraped around the drow neck and if Flame was comfortable with the drow Xour felt they could be also and that this detention was unjust.
Then as he watched the new person who they had just met, he is surprised that no one else seems to notice but he is sure that the drow and Lenwe are speaking although very quitly as he continues to watch Lenwe seems to be speaking under his breath when suddenly the drow vanishes. Well Xour has been around enough to know when a spell has been cast.
Then just as Lorae seems to be taking control of the situation she seems to take notice that the new one also moved out as soon as the drow dissapeared so she turns everything over to Brianna and makes an excuse about tending to the horses and quickly leaves.
Xour decided the action is going tobe outside and not in here so without saying anything while Vatta is giving the riders a peice of her mind and Brianna is defending Flame he quitly slips out the door quickly looking around in time to see Lorae heading around the back of the inn so he follows along.

Vatta

He responded to Vatta as she turned away. “We didn’t arrest her, we detained her until we could find out for a fact she was what she said she was. The Drow have been causing lots of problems lately. It was said they were behind the most recent coordinated attack of Eventide. That you people helped us with."
Vatta flipped a coin on the bar for her drink and turned her head slightly at the Rider’s reply, she grunted slightly and said softly just loud enough for them to hear her, “Dragging someone around in manacles, against their will…. Sure sounds like arrest to me.”
Taking her drink she takes a sip and then adds, “It is a moot point now.. Since she is gone.”
“I agree with Brianna,” she continues, “you obviously showed her that she can not receive justice at your hands and has fled… it still shows no sign of guilt on her part.”
She turned back to the bar concentrating on her drink. Vatta guessed as well that the drow didn’t go far and was probably outside as well, she didn’t intend to walk out, like so many others had done, it might make the guards suspicious and they might follow them to the drow. She intended to sit here and delay the Riders with her criticizing of their methods of detaining and their erroneous definition of Arrest.
